And I keep wondering why the guy didn’t wanna disclose the name of the school. I stumbled on his post on Facebook where people were asking the name of the school but he never mentioned it. Anyway, am not here to castigate him but having the name of the school could help others in making their decisions. I wish him all the best...
Please what is the name of this school and which of the Bank's POF statement did you use, I hope the statement of account didn't confused them, Well, I will advise you continue online for now if you have the money, I still believe the embassy will review your decision with a positive outcome before the deadline. You have invested in that school already, moreover, your record with the UKVI is intact.
This is a lesson for us all, Sometimes it's good to plan, if you are going for January 2022 start your plans ahead and know the pro and cons of your schools and your decision, weigh your options, banks statement etc then apply to the embassy at the earliest to avoid stories that touch, see how priority visa was wrong, just within 5 days they had rush and gave a wrong decision. Perhaps it was another POF that was used just to nipped the deadline for priority service. Or the officer had exhausted himself causing a miscalculation, No chance for review. I still prefer this standard visa that gives 3 weeks to conclude rather than 5 days with refusal. It is well.[/quote] |

angelss813: Good afternoon everyone.
Please i would like to know a better city to stay with the family between Portsmouth and Sheffield as my wife got offers for MSc Geographical Information Systems from both universities. Portsmouth requested for £3500 tuition deposit while SHU requested for £1000. I'm more concerned about life in both cities, raising a child and eventually job prospects as tuition would still be paid in any case.
Sheffield is not far from Leeds Beckett, if you choose Sheffield, she can still work at Leeds. But don't be carried away by the 1,000 deposit, if you choose this school pay up to 3,000 so that she can enroll as soon as you get there. Raising your children will not be an issues.
Portsmouth Tuition deposit is okay but I don't know much about Job opportunities.
But those two places are good for Children Do you mean the bolded statement negates the 50% payment to enrollment? |

mimilyrics: I actually found one of the applications made in November 2020 and I've attached the part of the form that talks about it with the person's personal details blurred. Note that for visas granted and travels made, it's for the last 10 years but but refusals or any immigration issues, there's no time limit. Thanks mimilyrics and everyone who had contributed one way or the other, it’s much appreciated. Please can I get the dummy link cos I’ve been searching google but found nothing close yet. Thanks once more |

giselle237: Just write what year you think it is. There’s an explanation box there for reason for refusal... elaborate that u can’t remember the specifics however this and this is what u remember. Finish.
Requesting any information might delay you further if you are restricted by time and want to apply for ur student visa asap. Declare what u can remember. They just want to know you are honest... Thanks giselle237, I think I still have little time to make the enquiry as I’ll be applying for September intake. |

mimilyrics: The time limit has been removed. Every refusal now has to be declared, whether it happened within the past 10 years or before. Thanks mimilyrics |

mattfeuter: The real question is if his biometrics was taken As at the time he applied because Finger prints are usually kept on file for up to 10 years.
It however started in 2007. So you can do the maths. Unfortunately I couldn’t recall all that happened then but I didn’t use agent am sure of that. Is there a way I can request from UK.gov site how to get this info? Thanks for all your responses. |

mattfeuter: Normally, you’re only required to state any refusals/immigration issue/s you’ve had in the last 10 years. Ok, thanks boss |

LagosismyHome: 2007 I dont think there was biometric so that explains why..
Was it an agent who applied for you or you applied yourself. Hopefully you applied by yourself. For sure declare it because it on their record , fill in with the best information you can remember @LagosismyHome, thanks for your swift response. I actually applied by myself but I don’t have any information about that application anymore. I do read here where people put in reasons for refusal while filling their visa application. So I wanna know if it’s a must to state reason for refusal or one can skip it. Please note I don’t remember the specific year/month and other details, not even the name of the school Regards |

Hello gurus in d house, Please I have a situation here which need clarity. Sometimes around 2007/8 thereabout I applied for Bsc in UK and was denied visa at tls Ikeja. I will be submitting my visa application later this year for September intake and I want to know if I should declare or not the 2007/8 refusal which I can’t remember reason for refusal anymore. Moreso, am not sure if biometrics were done then. I don’t want anything that will jeopardize my chance in any form. Your honest and experienced responses would be appreciated. @mimilyrics, @LagosIsMyHome, @justwise et al. |
