surveyor1: Give the medical officer of commonwealth in Australia a week for medical clearance. Try to email your CO or ring him or her sha. Is it a rule that grant comes after 2or more xrays after 8weeks culture? Surveyor1@ pls your view bcs u reported sometimes ago that a friend of urs was in same shoe with Chookudi and it took chookudi 6 months more to get his grant. Could it be because of his hospital-based study-......pharmacy? How did it go with that friend of urs? |

UBKtech: I am not sure they have a professional exam as part of the assessment, you only need to register with APHRA to get your practicing licence but that can wait after your visa has been granted, however I am not a radiographer. You need to mail AIR and ask any question you may have, you can also pm nwokenna, he has gone through the process successfully and has been in Aussie since December last yr. I guess the most difficult part of Radiographer's assessment is IELTS, Academic minimum Band 7.0 in each of the four sections of the test. B-) Pls, got a sister who wants to migrate as a nurse..she has like 3 yrs work experience with a Federal medical center after graduating from nursing school+midwifery.. and will also be getting her Bsc nursing next year. Pls any need to write professional exam too and can u help in updating the procedures? Thanks. |

Otunba4eva: I am very glad I came in contact with this forum, honestly this site have been of a tremendous help to so many people including me.
Yes actually I have applied for an Australian visa and have been refuse twice and am still planning to apply again. The first refusal was a tourist visa which I lodge while studying in Ghana while the second was a student visa I lodge in Nigeria under AL3 precisely this year. Actually both visa was refused on SOA grounds.
Now am planning to reapply again under an Svp course. I want highly experience Nairalanders particular in this field to please enlighten me about my chances of securing my visa as I wanted to do it myself from the beginning to the end.
Waiting for your wise response. Sorry for your previous refusals. You will make it this time! You want some guide from experienced Nlders? Try and go thru this thread meticulously and you will be able to acquire the do-it-yourself procedures. Ensure you apply to schls under SVP. You may choose to give some hints here concerning your desired degree and course so that somebody can guide you thru some schls that can benefit you. |

bossladyMo: Be careful when it comes to scholarships. The post-study work visa (...i think) does not allow people who schooled in Aus using govt funding and some other special funding like that.
Let me get the link out.
Except you don't intend applying for pswv and pr sha! I pretty agree with bossladyMO on this. Scholarships are good but be careful of the T and C. Plus supposing the condition u meet in OZ is far better than ur present position in Naija, what will u now do? Guess u ll still return to use ur acquired knowledge to solve BH issue! Anyway, if there is no other way to cut down expenses, guess u dont have any other option than to sign the agreement if u are selected for the scholarship. Msc and Master same depending on schl or program..but clarify wit schl. |

s3nn2x: This just caught my attention. I am applying for a programme, and part of the requirement is to certify that the Certificate, Transcript and Birth certificate are the original true copy.
I was in one other thread like that and was confused as to the difference between Authentication, Legalisation and Certification.
Although, in the form, it was stated that the certification can be done in the institution where the document was issued, the notary public or something like that and the country's High Commission.
Another question is, can it be done in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since I am based in Abuja and the Ministry is kinda close to me.
Abeg no vex, I asked this question yesterday and nobody answered me, I guess it is because it is not Visa or PR related. Don't mind me ooo, I am really confused, I am trying to apply for an M.Sc or MA programme in International Relations, I have checked in the websites of the schools I want to apply and also in CRICOS, all I see are 'Master of International Relations', and same goes for virtually all the courses there. If i apply for the 'Master of' programme, can I use the result to further my education up to PHD programme? How do I know if the course I intend to apply has a research component? I am applying for Masters by coursework. I sent a mail to one of the schools and till now it has not been replied since it was sent a week ago, which is really strange.
I know I m askin too much and you might be busy, abeg help me answer.
Lest I forget, the CRICOS of the course I want to apply for is different from the one in the schools' websites and CRICOS website. Which one should I use. BTW, I am not applying through the school directly.
Thanks in advance! It will be better and cheaper to certify your doc at a court preferably Federal high court. Like in my area, some peeps are even into that business and they are always around a court. You may choose to use them if you cant go to the court directly. As regard to ur course, Msc can either be course based or research based. You need to send a text to that school to clarify your concern. I will suggest you dont work yourself up with CRICOS issue. They know how it is being allocated. Just focus on getting your admission. I guess you are using agent. Cant u apply directly to d schl and get ur admission?- |

alukojosh: Another worrysome statement here "my medical was reffered and so waiting for the medical clearance" what does it mean fore a medical to be reffered? It means your medicals did not clear automatically due to some findings in the medical results especially xray that will now require their medical officer-MOC- to look into and now clear u before your CO can issue your visa. Depending on his findings, he may clear u right away or ask for additional tests to be done by you..and sometimes the test results may require upto 6-8weeks to be gathered..after which the results will be sent to the MOC for re-evaluation and if found satisfactory, medical will be cleared and visa granted. You may have to fill health undertakings too. |

Dayjhihannon01: Thanks baba.. I guessed u are over there already.. I'm new here.. Just have to find this thread bcus I know something like this will surely be on NL... I want to start with legalizing my certificates.. I read that legalizing is done in Min Of Edu abuja and still saw anoda that said its done in Austria embassy in Lagos.. Please I need a clarificatn.. Thanks in advance Am not yet in OZ..my medical was referred and so waiting for d medical clearance..been waiting for two months to get all the additional required test results.. Just got the final culture test result yesterday and it was negative..so am good now! if what you mean by legalizing my certificates is actually certifying your certificates as true copy, then u do not need to go to abuja for that. Locate a high court in your city and do it there at a token. |

Lemme give you a clue of what I want to get myself into baba... I met one Dr from the University of Applied sciences upper Austria Linz campus on one of my social medias.... I av an HND in environmental health... He told me I should put in for MSC Medical Engineering since its offered in English and also promised he will get a schorlaship for me from some organization. Is this something I should try? If he can get you the scholarship, your expenses will seriously be minimal especially if it is going to be full scholarship otherwise attending school in OZ is pretty expensive. Am not scaring anybody but just for us to know from the go what we are getting ourselves into. So l recommend you give it an attempt. You can make it through. |

Dayjhihannon01: really? Can I say this looks simpler than what I've been thinking? Did i read you say simpler? Well it may sound so simple but pretty require your time, determination and some good cash! If you are not too lucky and your medical is referred to MOC,then u will suddenly understand the definition of patience and anxiety..or your course is not under SVP..then u ll understand cumbersomeness! or you are not financially buoyant, then you will know what it means to part ways with some million naira or you are not for PhD or some postgraduate degree and you need to write ielts and u ll understand how many people cant proceed beyond ielts test stage. It is not simple or cheap for any average Nigerian! However with good information especially on this thread, it is gonna be simpler than ur own 'simpler'! |

Go to the OZ/NZ websites and identify the visa you can qualify for and then come back here for how to go abt it. Note-If you have the right visa, there are pretty many jobs for you to pick from in OZ/NZ, so dont be scared at all. toluene23: Helloooooooooooooo Good evening ,I received a Mail from one of the Organization I applied to,there in Australia and also another Mail of employment in New Zealand. I was asked to send my Work permit after a well Scrutinization of my Credentials;I'M a Biochemist Meanwhile I only have My Passport with me. I'm in Nigeria,Please help me out.Urgent Please help me out so that I can be called at the Nigerian embassy.God Bless as you Assist.
I have the Mail from the the two Companies (one from Australia and the other from Newzealand) to scan/send my Work Permit;in my inbox. The one from Australia is a Education Institute and the other is a Medical Hospitality Sector. They both told me to send/scan my Permit.Help out Plz.Thanks@ Malkinburg Kakazee Aduktus Preacher Lawland and all Please advice on how to go about it Well, everybody here understands the fact that you need one of the jobs but the truth must be told. No Nigerian embassy can call you unless you are related to the ambassador. To work in any country you need a work permit or work visa except of course your own country. In OZ, student visa comes with work permit. Work visa can also be gotten with sponsorship by the company. You may also want to go the PR route. Any of these take time. If they understand u well, they should be the one helping you out to get the permit and not asking u to scan a permit. Again, it is not about the authenticity of the companies alone, it is about the normal due process. I will advise you send mail to them explaining your current status again as per your location and the fact that you have no visa and that they should guide you towards acquiring a permit ASAP. Too many assumptions suspected here. Pls, do not hide your situation from them. As a precaution, do not send any money to them too. Get a work visa or student visa or PR or any other visa that can permit you to work in OZ or NZ. Study their immigration websites. Hmmmm....going thru the two companies, the company in OZ is a recruiting firm and i guess you are not directly linked with the company offering the job in OZ. Send mail to the recruiting firm to explain your situation. Do same to the NZ. Best of Luck. |

Already granted temporary visa yet to arrive in oz cancelled and pr holders subjected to quarantine for 21days. what a narrow escape for naija this time! lets pray harder for our nation and other affected nations and affected visa holders..it is not easy. Thats d summary. First step.. check for desired schl n course next......write ielts exam next.....apply for admission/scholarship next..... pay the deposit as required in d admission offer next.....collect ur coe next...get other document n apply for visa next...do medicals next...visa granted ......note ...medicals can come before visa application submission depending on u. |
