Dear Awardee,

This is to remind you that you are required to open a corporate bank account in the name of your registered business. This account will be used to disburse the YouWiN! Grant funds for your business. If you have commenced the account opening process, ensure that it is completed before December 12, 2014. This will enable the secretariat to commence the processing of Tranche 1 funds.

Kindly visit the nearest bank branch of your YouWiN! designated bank with the following (originals and photocopies);

a. CAC certificate and supporting documents which include particulars of shareholders and directors where applicable or a partnership deed duly notarized by a commissioner of Oath to show ownership of majority shares by 51% and above).

b. YouWiN! Legal agreement.

Please note that you are to open the account as the ONLY signatory as you will be fully responsible for managing the grant funds.

If you are in the Education related sector and are having challenges with this process, you are encouraged to apply for provisional approval from the State Ministry of Education where your business is/will be located to enable you complete the account opening process.


You can contact the Secretariat by responding to this email if have any other challenges.

I'm in Imo too.. I got an alert 4days ago from access bank with the caption "Month end balance".. The name of my company was fully stated in the message as the acct name and also my month-end closing balance was displayed in the text too.. Hope u got d same text msg from Access? If yes, that is an indication that your cheque book is ready and that all the necessary searches are over! Its well my fellow YouWIN 3! Awardees.

Please am about to apply for YouWin 2014 which is currently ongoing. Below are the questions is really need answers for, Its a new business and am applying for N10m.

1. How many new, full-time (or equivalent) staff will be employed in the business 12 months from receiving the first stage award?
2. What risks or challenges might affect the success of your business, including: licences and accreditations (what can stop you from making this business a success)? How will you reduce or mitigate these risks?
3. What are your current and expected sales within the next 12 months (units and income) ? If there is any seasonality, please explain.
4. What amount of sales, in Naira per month, must you achieve to reach profitability?
5. When do you expect to achieve this (how many months after receiving your first grant award)?
6. What is the minimum equipment cost that is necessary to commence trading or expand your business?
7. How much money have you already spent on Capital equipment?
8. How much money will you or your family and friends contribute to the business in the next 12 months.
9. How much money do you plan to take out of the business personally (average amount per month)?

guys a professional advice needed. i want to open a factory, the problem i am facing is that of building. i found a structure which is good for the factory i have in mind but the rent is in the range of N3,000,000.00. so the question i wan to ask is, which is better to pay for these or buy land and build my own from scratch. which is cheaper? please advice really needed urgent ;

4tunebest: Some of 'us' were given packs of customized cakes by the panelists after the interview. A pack of 6 cup cakes with Y-O-U-W-I-N spelt on them. I guess some winners know themselves already. The rest of us can only hope for the best.
