What is the "Antichrist" according to Bible prophecy and history?
Is it a person? a demon? or an institution?

What does the bible really say about this quite controversial topic? Controversial because many people through false indoctrination and misinterpretation of the scripture have popularized many ideologies that are contrary to what the Bible really says on the subject.

The work of faith is in complete submission to the will and commandments of God. You cannot say you have genuine faith when you do not genuinely submit to the things of God. Abraham is a wonderful example for us.
"...Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only." - James 2:23-24

The trials of our faith are manifested in diverse forms but for one goal - to dampen our commitment to God and thus push us out of the loving covering of Christ. Dear Friend, patience is a virtue, not only in receiving, but also in staying strong at such times when the world may turn against you because of the virtues of faith you stand for.

However, "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. -Romans 8:37".

People are pushed in all directions to gain power and wealth at all cost - even at the cost of their soul/salvation. But this unhealthy obsession with the things of this life is not a mindset of a true Christian.

While prosperity is desirable, it should not be a reason to compromise your faith! We have great testimonies of God's champions in the scripture who in spite of all the affluence they had, risked to give it all up, even their lives when it came to the question of compromise. We have a promise of a life above the present world. We have a faith in the glorious kingdom of God and nothing of this world is worth our salvation!

Gedeon could have chosen to see the vast army of the Midianites as a discouragement to lose FAITH; but rather he looked towards the MIGHTINESS OF GOD as the basis of his belief and not the intimidating numbers of the enemy (problem) before him.

Dear friend, do not judge the ability of God based on your physical strength! Build on your knowledge of God's word and declare His promises with faith in your heart, cast out every doubt and you will surely triumph.

God is calling you today to believe in Him irrespective of the circumstances of your life. Beyond the triumph you can get in the world, your faith will also reward you with the crown of heaven.

Invite God into your situation and believe that he will give you victory, just like he did for Gedeon, Barak, Samson, Jephthae, David, Samson, etc (Heb 11:32-34).
