When God made the Sabbath, He poured His presence into time and made it Holy Yes, there is a difference between the days of the week. No other day was more expressly stated in the bible with an instruction of worship as the seventh day. God's presence is what makes a place/thing Holy. Keeping the sabbath is an acknowledgement of God's creative and redemptive power (Isaiah 56:2; 58:13-14). He also sanctifies us with his presence as we make the day a delight! Jesus, the LORD of the sabbath is calling you to enjoy the pleasure of a rest filled with God's presence. The real truth: God will never change His Word to fit into what Church Councils have declared - our only safety is to be faithful ONLY to the Word of God. Do not become like Nadab, Abihu, Uzzah and others - making false assumptions about the laws and will of God and thus incurring his wrath upon themselves. God means just what he says. Offering religious reasons (excuses) cannot justify an act of disobedience to God's Word - no matter how logical it may sound or appear. Case in point: The rejection of King Saul. God does not and will not accept any worship that sets His word and will aside. His commandments and principles are always clear when we submit to them, rather than trying to alter the meaning for our convenience. Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice! God's instructions SHOULDN'T BE applied on the basis of our emotions or perceived understanding Our texts on part one of this topic "God is particular" focuses on the case of Moses and the resultant effect of his action. God always means what He says and will not change the mode or reduce His standards to accommodate aberrations in matters of worship and salvation. Dear Friend the only language God accepts is one of "Faithful Obedience" to His Words. *"I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom" - 2 Timothy 4:1* Comparing the above text with the wrong impression many have about the parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man in Luke 16:22-24, one would wonder how it came about. What then is the real meaning of the parable that Christ told (Luke 16)? Was it a literal story of happens or was it a literary piece to teach a lesson to his audience? On today's devotional, we explore the scripture to find the truth of the parable that is consistent with other texts. *You can share and join us now @* Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9TxIcg59Es Facebook: https://fb.watch/9VbeUW2U5P/ |

Dear friend, where is your faith based on? Is it in the scripture-backed revelation of the resurrection through Christ or in the pagan ideology of the immortality of the soul? "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." - John 6:40. The truth is this - you cannot believe in both worlds - falsehood vs truth. However, I implore you to stick with the truth - Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and life, He is the hope of our salvation while we live and the assurance of our redemption/resurrection on the last day. The soul is not some immaterial or abstract entity as some school of thought would have you believe... The Bible has provided us with enough evidence to understand what the soul means. When the soul dies, it goes to the grave (Psalm 89:48), it does not transcend into another realm nor does it go up immediately to God for judgement. The resurrection of the body on the last day is our only hope and chance at life. While this great doctrine on the resurrection is mostly obscured, you can claim it today! Christ's promise to the thief at the cross - an often misconstrued reference to back the wrong claims about the soul of man after death On closer study and cross-reference with other texts, we get to understand that the belief that Christ's promise to the thief "to take him to paradise on that day" contradicts Christ's statement in John 20:17, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:..." For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ... This statement by the Apostle Paul, has often been misinterpreted as an evidence that the soul returns to God just after death. However, when we read the context around this verse, our understanding is open to what Paul truly meant and his other statements on the topic. "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. - 2 Timothy 4::8 The keywords are "at his appearing" and "all them that love is appearing" Kindly share the links and join us now: Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZYYL1zl_Bo Facebook: https://fb.watch/9HX0O9P8tF/ |

The errors and danger of seeking counsel from familial spirits/medium - an invitation to demonic possession... God has given us the Word of Truth (the Bible) to shield us from the powerful deception of the devil. But when you are not well rooted in the knowledge of God's word, , you mind becomes susceptible to infiltration by the darkness of the devil and his demons. God has always forbidden all pretended communications with the "dead" (Leviticus 19:31, 20:27).
