God is interested in transforming your heart into one of righteousness. But this can only come when you genuinely repent from your sins and submit your heart to Him.

Over the course of history, this unholy alliance between religion and the state has lead to many undesirable results - abuse of leadership, religious tyranny and even persecution of believers. An example of this union of the church and power of the government is seen in the Catholic church of the Dark Ages.

We must follow the principles of Christ (Matthew 22:21) to separate religion from governance and pray for the grace of God to stand for religious liberty.

Dear friend, as Christians we ought to show responsibility both to God's laws and the rules that applies to the society we find ourselves. However, if we become faced with certain rules that contradicts the laws of God, we must stand out and stand firm to say NO!

There are many examples of courageous people in scripture and around us today who will not bow down to pressure or threats to obey laws that leads us into disobedience of God. You can be an example of a faithful and courageous child of God too.
