CHOOSE LIFE WHILE YOU STILL CAN

"The great controversy between Christ and Satan, that has been carried forward for nearly six thousand years, is soon to close; and the wicked one redoubles his efforts to defeat the work of Christ in man's behalf and to fasten souls in his snares. To hold the people in darkness and impenitence till the Saviour's mediation is ended, and there is no longer a sacrifice for sin, is the object which he seeks to accomplis" - The Great Controversy p.518.1

Dear beloved, this is not the time to negotiate with sin and sinful lifestyle! This is a time you should guide your salvation with every thing in you. Choose Christ, choose righteousness, choose life.

We all have one chance to make things right while we still have life on this earth - Our journey here (probation) is not a spiral of 'beginningless' existence. A time will come when we will be judged by the life we have lived.

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" - Hebrews 9:27
Probation is the opportunity offered to us for a time to make things right with God; we all are under the mercies of God for the time being. However, this mercy will one day come to an end - This is when probation would have closed.
There are three ways in which probation can close for any individual - [1] Death, [2] Unpardonable Sin [3] The General Close of Probation.
But for today, let's talk about the first point - Death.

The society today is limited by her greed and lustful desire to acquire material things and damn the consequences!

No one cares about the bigger picture any more. All they are concerned about is that which they want and will never be patient in the process to getting it - THEY JUST WANT IT NOW!

Our text today gives us a perfect example of an individual who like many of our youths today, allowed gift of riches cloud his mind that he gave up his very calling and ministry as well as incurred the wrath of God upon himself and family. Like Gehazi, many people while seeking for gratification, do so at the expense of the glory of God; they claim power and might where it is the grace of God, just to appear powerful in the sight of men and as such suck out wealth from the gullible audiences. Do not be like this; there is dignity in labour, patience and aligning with the will of God for you in all things and at all times! Stay blessed!

Well, for me I live my life in a way where by truth will not hurt me and I wish others will try same, because I love saying the truth when called on and that is why I'm tacit cause I know people feel bad when they hear truths they hide from.

Its not easy living my life the way I do in regards to the truth, So I make sure what ever I do I will not be bemused by the truth, Its not easy but it gives peace of mind.

Where I work there are tricks that could lead you to becoming wealthier than you should I avoid it because when the truth comes out its embarrassing and might take your freedom.

One time like that I did something ugly, when called on in regards to the matter I said it the way it was the people involved were surprised, some said they thought I will deny it, I told them I'm not proud of it and lying about it would only make it worst and make me look weak and foolish, na so the matter die, lying is Onion coated.

This is an exemplary quality! There are so many people lacking in this regard, and would lie at the smallest matters to save face! May your strength never fail, and may God's grace keep you strong, Amen.

This rule is the golden standard of our Christian life; it is not a mere statement - it is a call of responsibility. We must desire in our heart always, to show kindness and love to other people (immediate and distant) as we would desire for them to do to us if we were in their situation.

As Christians we must always put others into consideration in whatever we do - as light of the world, we must also beam our brightness into the spiritual, mental and physical life of those to whom we can be a blessing!

Now, everyone wants to make it fast and big - usually not minding whether the method is right or wrong. We have become so accustomed with desiring grandiosity that some would rather put off a great idea/change in habit or lifestyle than to start small and grow in it.

Remember, growth and increase comes when we show discipline in handling little things. Those who cannot efficiently be entrusted with little things, can they then be trusted with great things?
