The Holy Spirit is the channel through which God communicates with us, therefore, when we barricade our heart from being accessible by the Holy Spirit, we invariably cut off our access to God too. To be without God is to be shackled in the blinding darkness of Godless existence and we put our eternity at risk.

OUR GOD IS NOT HIDDEN NOR HAS HE ABSCONDED

Sin is a reproach; it creates a barricade between us and our Creator. But God has made a way of escape for us through His Son, Jesus Christ to break down this wall of iniquity through a life of holiness by the Holy Spirit and ensure there is nothing between us and God. 

Sadly, many people are carried away by the short-lived pleasures of sin and have become blind to the eternal consequence it will have on one's soul. This is not a time to be indecisive about your eternity; God never stopped loving you even when you strayed away from his presence, that's why he gave us the gift of salvation.

THE MYSTERIES OF SIN AND GODLINESS.

Which mystery is being manifested in your life? Godliness or sin? In 2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4, Paul talks about how the mystery of iniquity is manifested in the historic and prophetic antichrist - exalting itself in the position of God, disobeying and leading others away from the laws of God.

In contrast, the mystery of Godliness expresses the selfless love of God in condescending to take the place of man, becoming a man for the purpose of saving mankind. The technicalities of "HOW" is a great mystery, but we can either believe it through Christ unto salvation or reject it and be condemned.

WHEN PROBATION CLOSES: There is an eternal consequence for the life you live today - whether of good or evil.
This is a solemn and vital topic especially in the times we're in now. This is not the time to turn away from the light and life of righteousness. When probation closes, there will be no opportunity to change/repent.

When we receive Christ, the Holy Spirit comes upon us to work in our spirit a desire for righteousness and power to live a sanctified life. However, we have the flesh "the old man" still striving for mastery, trying to manifest itself in the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).
 
In all these, you must make genuine efforts to ensure that the flesh never triumphs over the spirit, as this can cost you the salvation of your soul and lose your place in God's kingdom of glory.
 
You may be tempted to ask the question "IS THE SPIRIT SO WEAK THAT IT CAN BE OVERPOWERED BY THE FLESH?" The answer is NO! The flesh will dominate only because you gave it authority to triumph by giving in to the selfish and sinful desires thereby refusing the Holy spirit's gift to us that would have made us OVERCOME THE FLESH.
 
HOW DO WE WIN THIS BATTLE?

What does it mean to Worship in Spirit and in truth, as stated in John 4:24?
"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Worshipping in Spirit refers to worshipping God sincerely and voluntarily with a pure and sincere heart! God desires us to engage our heart and mind in loving him and adhering to his commandments.

However, sincerity is NOT enough, we must also worship Him in TRUTH! Yes, true worship with a sincere heart is the only acceptable form of worship to God as stated in his guiding principles - the bible.

The bible graciously defines truth in three ways:
1. Jesus is the Truth - John 14:6 - Jesus is a perfect example of what and how we can worship God!
2. The Bible is the truth - John 17:17; the word of God and should be the only reference for what is the truth.
3. The commandments of God are the truth - Psalm 119:151; the traditions or commandments of men cannot pass as truth; only the commandments given by God constitutes the truth.
