A viral report on Twitter, claims that Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, reportedly arrested a mother and her daughters, over daughter’s plan to run for Presidency.

It was gathered that the Rwandan authorities arrested Diane Shima Rwigara and charged her with “offenses against state security and forgery.” (She was already detained once before at the beginning of the month, though under different charges.) It’s clear to everyone, however, that her real crime was her attempt to run against incumbent Paul Kagame in the presidential election last month.

Her mother and sister were also detained on similar charges. The three of them are expected to face trial in October. If Diane Rwigara is convicted on the state security charges, she’ll be facing a minimum of 20 years in prison.

Blog reports that Challenging the all-powerful Kagame would have already been enough to get the 35-year-old Rwigara in trouble. But she was especially bold about it. She chose to announce her protest movement the same day Kagame officially kicked off his campaign. Then she upped the ante by also demanding justice for the killers of her father, the businessman Assinapol Rwigara. He died in 2015 under what his family and many Rwandans consider suspicious circumstances, after years of tense relations with Kagame.

An unfortunate Tragedy struck at No. 50 Onumonu Street in the state capital between 9pm and 10pm, as it was gathered that a landlord in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Paul Oparaugo, and five of his six children allegedly stabbed to death their tenant, Udochukwu Iwuoha, on Wednesday.

Iwuoha, whose wedding was scheduled to take place on Friday (today), according to neighbours was reportedly stabbed by the landlord and his children who made sure he was dead before vandalizing his property.

The deceased’s neighbour said;

“The incident happened on Wednesday. Udochukwu had told Paul Nwachukwu, who is a security guard at a branch of Guaranty Trust Bank, to stop rearing chickens behind his apartment.

“He told him that the smell and noises of the chickens were affecting his health; but the family took his observation as an insult.

“They beat him up before stabbing him. A neighbour, Godspower, who came to rescue Udochukwu (Iwuoha), was stabbed in one of his hands.

“The man, Paul Oparaugo and five of his six children – Chiemezie, Ndubuisi, Ugochinyere, Chidera and Deborah – committed the dastardly act. It was the last born, Michael, who is in primary school, that didn’t take part in the murder.”

An unidentified friend of the slain man said, “He had complained that his landlord was always on his case.”

Another neighbour, who identified himself simply as John, said all the hospitals that the victim was taken to on Wednesday rejected him.

John said, “The hospitals demanded a police report because the injuries were too much. Before we could get the report, he died.

“We have reported the matter at the Owerri Urban Police Station. Policemen came here, and his corpse was deposited at a morgue.”

Punch reports that the State’s Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, who confirmed the incident, said he had ordered that the case be transferred to the homicide section of the Criminal and Investigation and Intelligence Department of the state police command.

Ezike said, “It is a case of a family feud. Some youths in the area wanted to take the law into their own hands, but we were able to calm the situation.

“The suspects are known; they are on the run, but they can’t run for too long.”

Earlier today in some states in the South East, Imo state included, there was a pandemonium, after an undiluted rumuor broke out that some soldiers were going from school to school, injecting students with Monkeypox

Imo state government has released a statement denying claims that the Monkeypox virus is in the state.

Statement reads;

The Attention of the Imo State government has been drawn to the wicked and unfounded rumor being spread by the wicked ones over the monkey pox virus which created undue anxiety in Owerri, the state capital especially among some parents, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

The State government wants to inform Imo people in particular and the general public that the monkey pox virus is not in Imo and will never be in Imo in Jesus Name.

The federal Government has named few states that have had one or two cases and the states that should be monitored closely and Imo State is not among any of the groups. So these wicked rumor mongers in the state will surely reap the ugly fruits of their ugly acts.

Again, no child or pupil or student has been immunized or is being immunized as part of the rumour had carried, because there is no need for such action.

However, the government is on the alert and will take the necessary action if the need arises and Imo people will duly be informed. But for now, there is no cause for any alarm. Imo is in the hand of God.

Following report of Nollywood actor, Charles Billion set to welcome another child with a U.S based lady, it has been gathered that his marriage to his estranged wife and actress, Mimi Orijekwe is over, as her family is set to return the bride price he paid when they got married in July 2015.

Sources claim that after Mimi Orijekwe got to know that her husband is expecting another child with another woman, she reportedly confronted him but he neither denied nor confirmed the report.

BLOG claim that Mimi asked her father to call Charles’s family to come for their bride price but up till today October 9th, they are yet to come see her family.

Mimi has however threatened to go to social media to call them out, if they do not come forward to collect the bride price so that their marriage can be dissolved officially.
