nero xp: Got to de embassy around 5.45am nd we all lined up as usual wit de normal security checks nd all dat.I waited in de interview hall watchin sum immigrants being interviewed.to my greatest suprise,I neva witnessed any visa denials nd it was only male CO's dat was conductin interviews to immigrants only.Note: I paid in naira equivalent,dats 54,500 nd a receipt nd Number were issued to me.so I met a DV-winner sittin Nearest to me nd wasn't a member of Nairaland,I den had to lecture him on sum certain tins he needed to knw nd my number was after his.so he number was called nd he went nd was successful,I congratulated him wella nd tapped into his success immediatly.after lyk 2mins,my number flashed @ window 14 wher dat guy was also interviewd nd I went wit courage nd boldness.the CO was abt tellin me to put my 4 fingers at de machine,I immediatly did dat sharp sharp nd he smiled @ me...dat CO fyn oo,but na man.interview went lyk dis:

jonnywalker: hi pals,thanks everyone for tryin to help.i mistakenly handed the package to them when they requested.there was no legal document backing it.it was verbal.they came to my workplace to register me for no fee n called in may to notify me.they said when they continue the visa application,they charge$7000.it was verbal. they used that court issue to convince us to proceed cos we told them we can't get 7000.they said when i get the visa n i don't have 7000,i can make 2/3payment n sign agreement to pay the rest within a year but now they've denied this.they're requesting full payment.with the lil expreience acquired from dis forum,i never wanted to hand it over to them but my parents made me did that cos it's the people who payed the processin fees,i mean medicals,police cert,visa fees.my. they said if i don't make full payment,they'll sell it.i'm asking if it's possible to sell?SHOULD I inform the embassy or that will complicate things?i wanted a peaceful agreement but they an't ready for that.i can't get all the 7000 ,ticket n pocket money thus why i'm askin if there is any other means to get my package back.thanks.

Because if u go tru previous posts u will notice that some people claim that they were sent notification for corrections of bio data... If it is tru, then improperly filled form is not a hold bar for selection? Or what do u guys think.....Explaination pls.

Bigpiper: Good day house, my brother did his interview on d 6th (tuesday) and they gave him d circled address to pick his visa 5 days from then. On the 8th (thursday) I got an email from d consulate that he should come with photocopies of his documents to the embassy any day of the week besides friday. I don't know why but all his document are genuine. Should he be worried?

Imcool: Hi Adzovia, is it until one gets to the US before one can get and also put money into d visa gift card or can it be done in one's home country before departure? Plz shed more light on this and in any of d cases above that is accepted, what's d procedure of obtaining the visa gift card and subsequently putting money into it? Just for d benefit of d ppl who are planning to travel soon. Thanks

Adzovia that visa gift card is just as you have described it . Just as obtainable here in Europe but if the fees are supposed to be paid before traveling to US, then it might just not be within the reach of someone who is yet to leave. That's what i mean.
By the way how are you people brazing up for approaching snow storm.
I understand you are in New Jersey. I shall be heading that way with my family as soon as we obtain our visa next month by His grace.

I think winners are required to pay before their departure for US.
Visa gift card will not likely work in this case.

As I got to the Ghana embassy today to pick up my VISA I was called together with 3 other people and I asked to wait cos the CO wanted to meet us. The CO called me and I gave me a form to fill asking for additional information. She then told me my VISA was not ready and that I have been put on Administrative Processing. She said they will call me after they are done with that. She didn't tell me any reason why I was put on AP all she said was they would call me. She collected the green sheet and gave me a white paper to go and wait to be called. Pls house can anyone help me with regards to what is happening?? I am soo shattered right now. The only issue I had was the wrong DOB in my initial entry which they never asked during the interview plus I have a sworn affidavit for that. House pls help me...

Leripa: @all: still on the new fee that takes effect from 1st of Feb, 2013.
It is clearly stated that, ''if you are unable to make this payment, another person can make this payment for you.''
To me, writing any embassy is a loooooooooong thing. Just follow the stated instructions. That's all.

sina_adegoke: When I registered in Nov 2011, I applied as a single applicant cos I registered late, and my family was not around for me to take their pictures and stuff. Now I've been invited to the interview venue as a single applicant. Can some1 pls advise me on things to look out for, so I don't expose myself, cos it could be construed as a deliberate attempt to defraud the US govt? I don't know.\

I also want to know if Tax clearance certificate is required.

Lesson: Do not waste your precious time tracking anything. My passport was ready for pick up since Thursday and the tracking Status kept saying not ready for pick up. Now I can book my flight. I love you all.
