bonawaja: Listen carefully ur turn to get interview letter depends on ur documentary qualify date, if ur priority date is current u are only qualify to received 60 days letter from NVC until NVC reach ur documentary qualify date u are not entitle to received IL. NVC Schedule IL base on documentary date Not priority date since 2020 convids-19,der is a lot of backlog for every cases. for example my priority date became current August 2021 last month i received my IL 3 Years of waiting, ur own might not up to that just sample. Dont prepare yet oooo wait till NVC send u IL u will still have enough time to do ur preparation .
Wrong quoting. By the way, my friend and his sis never got the 60-day email post currency but their other two siblings did. The former got ILs straight up and that was a surprise.
Taal17: You have to check the DMV site specific to Texas.. Each date has its own regulations. I doubt you need driving transcripts sha, just your FRSC license is enough
They would usually have a section on that site with regards to using a foreign driver's license and for how long. Eventually you would still need a state license.
A car is a necessity in Texas, I do not believe they have trains , and considering the land mass of Texas is just slightly smaller than Nigeria then driving is a necessity.
This is so cool. I'll let him know and his bro is there too.
Taal17: Congrats to everyone who has gone through interview process.
Lots to do and think about right now. Air tickets USA is really large, treat every state like a country. One person's experience in Minnesota is different from another's experience in Alabama. I know it's expensive but do try to get flights as close to your final destination as possible. It might be tempting to do some journeys by coach(luxurious bus) but if you have a lot of luggage then it's not a good option. Coach station maybe a long distance from airport.
Soft landing It's okay to do soft landing..arrive in the US and stay for 2/3 months and come back. It might give you time to regroup, understand what you will face and how better to prepare for your new country. Just make sure you return within 6 months.
Transcripts and Certificates Please take your original academic certificates with you. Reach out to your universities to get your student copy of your transcript. There are jobs that will require your to have your foreign certificates evaluated and although they may need your institution to send it directly to them, they will also require your original certificates so bring them with you.
No academic records? No problem No worries, USA is a country of certification. Lots of jobs require us based certification to qualify so you have plenty opportunities to learn something new and earn income. Take advantage of learning opportunities around you. USA has a lot of job specialisation..what one person would do in Nigeria is split into what 5 people would do abroad.
Living with your host Lowe your expectations, it's a different country a different culture. Paying all bills on a monthly basis put pressure on people no matter how much you think you know them. Be grateful for whatever they offer and quickly find ways to sustain yourself and contribute to household chores and expenses even if it's a little, always contribute regularly. If all you can afford is buying the type of bread the family eats then make sure that's what you buy regularly. Lastly SSN and Credit cards Don't get carried away by credit cards, research online how to use them to you financial benefit. Don't just listen to what people tell you about using CC Guard your SSN, it's not uncommon that even some hosts will use your SSN to claim tax returns, sell to those will use same to give those who can't work those details to find work, or use them to apply for CC with your details. Asides from opening an bank account I don't think there's anyone else who needs your SSN. When in doubt ask whoever it why they need it and if you're not satisfied just go online and see what you get.
Shine your eye..there are many scammers in the US. text scams , phone call scams etc
All the best in your new life
Nice input! What do you know or say about folks from Nigeria, moving to Texas with respect to driving? They have been driving for years in Nigeria. What applies? I know in Canada, Ontario may allow you to challenge G or G2. Getting believable extract from Nigerian embassy, Ottawa may waive some wait time to challenge the G. I don't even know what is obtainable in other provinces. Everyone does G1, though.
thegagoman: The media will do everything before the election to make Kamala look like she's going to win.
Just like in the case of Tinubu vs Obi, the Obi supporters won online and BAT won on poll. I see the same thing happening in America. The MAGA fans are afraid to talk. They are being bullied online.
PS: I only used Obi vs Tinubu as example, I don't give a flying fvck about the two of them.
BAT won on polls and you're protesting on the streets.
Lordcrixus: I think this is how you calculate the CSPA age, the number of years it took USCIS to approve the petition is the pending time. That is, how long is it from filing date to approval date. Therefore, the age of the child at visa availability minus the pending time will be the CSPA age (this value must be less than 21 years). This is why it is better a petition takes a longer time to be approved. And the child must remain single, until he/she gets to the US.
Temseun: Thank you for this platform. My case is F3 priority date 22/4/2010. Became Documentarily qualified July 2024. How long do I still need to wait for interview and are there any backlogs at Nigerian embassy presently since that my affect my interview date if my case becomes current anytime.
Wait for your PD to be current. They are currently at 01 Apr 10. After that, embassy will deal with NVC and select the batch to be called for interviews (depends on Lagos embassy's capacity and your DQ). Overall, the bulletin may start moving from October. There has been no movement since last July in most family-based categories. Finally, after you become current, you wait for like a month (my friend's experience) and you are scheduled for the interview (interview letter sent to you). You may start getting your passports valid and ready, attestation to births, police character reports etc.
FODA: i will be happy if u can explain this sir,is the little girl part of the fraud or her over joyous younger sir,the fact that there is a fake paracetamol doesn't mean every paracetamol is fake .

Darlingkay: Please dear Daddy and Mommy, forgive me for bringing this here. am doing this because av run out of options and I don't have any other choice. My name is kelly, I gave birth to my boy Ayomide 2 years ago and since then it has been a rollercoaster of one event to another. My fiance abandoned us and I move in back with my parents taking care of my son all alone without any assistance even though he was always falling very sick all the time. I notice that he always feels discomfort when his trying to breath so I looked for money to take my son to the hospital. He was diagnosed with congenital heart defect, a hole in his heart, as the cause of his breathing problems. I've cried my eyes out but if only crying can solve problem. I can't stand to see my child in pain.
I've gone almost everywhere I can possibly go but no hope except for hospital. Doctors say that he will need to undergo surgery at UCH for N4.5million and my family with the help of some very kind hearted people have been able to raise part of N3 million. We have sold off almost everything valuable to us but it's not yet enough, that why I am appealing to well meaning Nigerians, if you're touched to save my son's life, please find it in your kind heart to extend a hand of help to him. Nothing is too small in the sight of God. Am calling kind hearted people, please help save my boys life. Please am also calling upon any NGO that can accept my sons condition please. May God almighty bless you immensely and wipe away sorrow from your eye. Amen.
completeskills: How is it possible knowing that one parent of hers is a south African. She for add Hausa name join too so that we know she is a Nigerian. Her mum has now been accused of citizenship fraud. That probably explains why she uses this names from 2 tribes.
She was born in SA and that is is important. But again, tribalism is the only thing Africans have going for them.
Belle777: Just came back to tell you that my visa has been approved.
I had a friendly chat with the white female Visa Officer. I don't think there's anything to worry about if you are really the relative of your petitioner. My category is F11 but I was given the list of IR2. Here:
pope217: Hello bruh.....plz how much can u spend on visit visa to Canada?an agent charge me 800k to get me the visa including my biometric and visa fee and he promise to run my POF.....how tru is this??
God1000: This is the result of bad governance, I hope our president will learn from this and do the right thing.
All I see in Nigeria today from politicians is complete lack of respect for the people, pervasive corruption and arrogance among the political class.
No single progress Since 1960, are we cursed or what
I don't support military takeover in Nigeria, I also don't support violent protest and looting, protesters should be peaceful while expressing their grievances
If a short man doesn't do or behave like he is mad, nobody shows him his father's land boundaries.
Exhausted03: Thank you We just printed copies, they were accepted, and we weren't asked for an updated one. Good luck to your friend's sister.
Thank you. She is already a Britiko; na my friend I am more interested in. Interview is August ending. Your come-back message is a great input to him and others. Merci.
