VISA FEE REFUND

Good day all, I applied for the Canadian PR Visa programme for self employed in 2020, using an immigration consultant that shuttles Calgary amd Lagos. She used her addressed for my correspondence with immigration Canada as she handled it on my behalf and every payment I made was routed through jet.
I also duly paid all her fees and every other fee required for my application and those of my dependants.

Long story short, after going for biometrics in 2023 , she called to inform me that my application was denied.
This year, someone informed me that since I had paid the visa fees and I was not given, that the practice is to write to Immigration Canada for a refund.
I called.my consultant and informed he and she said she was not aware of such. After much talk over some days, she reluctantly agreed to write the letter requesting for my refund and send me a screen shot of the purolported letter.
However, since then, she has not been forthcoming with any update. She rarely picks my call and if she is gracious enough to pick ot, she will just tell me that there is no news from Immigration Canada.

So I want to ask thos noble house,
1. Are my not entitled to a refund of my visa fees ?
2. If yes, how do I go about it

Guy, go and read what's written on their website. Your passport has to be valid for up to 8 months beyond your interview date.
NIS seems to now take 10 weeks to renew passport. The earlier you start the better.

Must you be told everything? Aren't you tired of these needless questions with obvious answers? Different reasons, of course. Opportunities, better life, chances, overseas feel, and the likes. It's 100% subjective.
At least, it undeniable it doesn't have Its fair share of socioeconomic upheavals, like unemployment e.t.c, too. However, if you stand out or you're close and meet/beat the rubicon, you'll always find placement everywhere you are; Canada or Nigeria.

hian... you don't need to know anyone to gain admission to your desired course here too. Just score high enough. I got admitted to MB;BS, never having stepped in the school's state prior nor knowing anyone. They gave him Pharmacy, he got in and invested his efforts, you need see how top schools were pouring at his feet begging for his MSc interest. He picked Oxford, then compensation him with money. He soon finished and they quickly tied him down with PhD too. And of course, dude wasn't a silver spoon kind. I know quite a few others with similar paths too who all knew no one too.

In essence, people are doing well from the streets here. People don't need to know anyone for admission and work sometimes, just score high enough and invest enough in yourself. Don't go about score stupid scores and be looking for admission to a high-end course. Don't score low grades and expect to have big jobs or scholarships on your feet.

Lol... not exactly everyone is experiencing these kinda things... Either in Lagos or Ilorin, two places I frequent, I got a roof over me. I got access to steady water, and about constant electricity. These are basics.

Although our government have been useless and indeed spiraling down, things haven't been exactly extremely bad for Nigerians... the way Tensazangetsu20 have been painting Nigeria ehn... you'll think we've lost half our population to hunger and plebianism so much light, food and water are now completely out of reach. I just lol the guy. Not to acclaim things are very bad though.
