PRESS RELEASE 330kV DC Transmission Line Tripping that Caused Power Outage in North East, North West, and Parts of North Central. The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) reports that its 330kV Ugwaji–Apir Double Circuit transmission lines1&2, tripped due to a fault, resulting in a forced power outage affecting the North East, North West and parts of North Central. At approximately 4:53am, the Ugwuaji–Markurdi 330kV Line 2 tripped and 243 MW on that line was transferred to Line 1 on the same route. At 4:58am, Line 1 also tripped, resulting in a total loss of 468 MW. By around 5:15am and 5:17am Line 1 and Line 2 were tried, but they all tripped immediately on the same relay indication. Following the tripping incidents yesterday, two teams of linesmen were dispatched. One from the Apir Transmission Sub-region and another from the Enugu transmission to expedite fault tracing along the 215 km route, which includes 245 transmission towers. Throughout yesterday, the Apir team patrolled the line, navigating challenging terrains in search of the fault, reaching as far as the River Benue. They were unable to locate the cause of the tripping and have continued in the fault tracing early this morning. Meanwhile, the lines patrol team from Enugu Region of TCN were unable to commence lines patrol yesterday due to the ‘sit-at-home’ directive in the South East for October 21st and 22nd, 2024. This hindered not only the patrol team but also made it difficult to refuel patrol vehicles for the long distance line trace. Arrangements were, however, made for security operatives to guide the team, who have commenced fault tracing this morning. Currently, TCN has restored supply to the 132kV transmission line from New Haven to Apir, but the 330kV lines remain out of service, impacting power supply in the Northern region of the country. Sadly, the TCN Shiroro-Mando transmission line is also down due to security reasons, causing power outage in the North. TCN is making every effort to trace the cause of the outage to enable our engineers effect repairs and restore bulk power supply through both lines. We sincerely apologize to the government and electricity consumers in all the affected states and acknowledge that our patrol teams would have continued their search into the night yesterday, if not for the challenging terrain, which includes swamps and rivers, as well as insecure areas in the forest. We reconvened very early this morning with security operatives and have continued the fault tracing to locate and address the cause of the line tripping. Ndidi Mbah GM, Public Affairs 22/10/24

My father married three wives in those days and my mother happened to be the last wife. Myself and m y brother are the only children my mother bore fo my father. Now the issue is that 98% of our half brothers and sisters hate us so much even after my father's and mother's death. What could she have done for us to get this treatment? Thank God I'm a man now and God has been faithful, but I just though of it this evening and wondering what could she have done for us to deserve all this? A woman was arrested for hitting nail into her Stepson's Head misplacing her #1,000 which she gave him go and buy something. He was immediately taken to the hospital and a scan showed the nail went really deep. He's still alive but unconscious as surgery is underway to remove the nail. It's a pity, this boy can never remain the same mentally.

JASONjnr:please don't judge me, i've not done anything to her. I've never had this thought toward her. Its not even up to two weeks that the temptation started coming and it's becoming so deep. I wanted to open a new account to post this but i realized there's not need since i haven't done anything, i'm just looking for help/advice. I have an 18years old niece staying with me right from when she was 8years because she losed her both parent. Her mother is my cousin whom we were extremely close when she was alive.... I've been taking care of her to the best of my ability without showing any difference with my kids. This days i noticed that i'm becoming sexually attracted to her. This is something that has never crossed my mind because i see her as my daughter. Please what is the best way to handle this because everyday the temptation keep increasing and becoming so strong. Please help me, i don't want to fall for the temptation the devil is laying into my heart. She is very respectful and so hardworking. Now i understand the kind of temptation that led people to sleeping with their this and that... Which they were not able to overcome the temptation. |

BelieveAfrica:any organization that won't pay you full salary will tell you it's better to resume on the first of a new month, after the board interview i was told by one of the board member that they've been conducting interviews for almost a month just to get a perfect person for the position i was employed for but nobody was qualified so far until i was interviewed. So why can't they motivate me? What will my full salary remove from their worth? I think they are the ones with greed. 1 Like |

So i posted about getting a new job about a week ago. I resumed on the 16th of this September and everything has been going on well, then on the 24th September which was three days ago, salary was paid for September but i received half salary. Now the problem is that i was expecting full salary because nobody told me even during interview that i would be paid half salary for this month cos i've worked in other organizations and even if you resume on the 20th of a month, you'll still receive full salary. Do you think i should go and meet the manager or CEO to express my disappointment? Though it's a good organization and their salary is amongst the highest paid in the state. |

The truth is that Nigeria is gone, the poor are in trouble. I remember back in 2012 when I got married, 15k sustains me & my family, but in 2019, 30k manageably sustains my family, but now i swear, 150k hardly sustains my family that's with two kids. I saw alot of people entering a compound this morning and shouting while I was fetching water, i thought something was happening, then i decided to peep... Lo and behold i saw tubers of yam i've never seen in my life. Everybody was struggling to snap it & alot of people attempted to buy them but couldn't because it was really above their capability due to how expensive it was... The lady was interviewed by some media organizations and she said she's really suprise about the harvest because she has never seen this kind of a thing. I resumed at my new office today and i feel so excited about it. I was introduced officially during morning meeting, while introducing myself to everyone, i just saw this sweet, beautiful & classy lady. She's an angel abeg.... I started praying to be posted into her department, then lo and behold i was posted to the same department with her, the same office and the same table. Work started for the day & we started interacting officially based on work... Guess what guys....? That was when i almost fainted because of the mouth odour she has. If you see the way it was coming out when? I was like God please i no want this department again. The funny thing is she likes talking directly to my face arrrrrrrhh mogbe ooo. NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS BURST TERRORIST STRONG HOLDS, RESCUE KIDNAPPED STUDENTS In aggressive offensive operations against terrorism and insurgency, Nigerian Army troops have obliterated yet another terrorist stronghold, successfully rescuing kidnapped students,and seizing a significant cache of arms and ammunition. Troops also eliminated some insurgents, while some others were captured alive. On 12 September 2024, acting on reliable intelligence, troops stationed in Kaduna State launched a highly coordinated operation aimed at rescuing abducted persons from violent extremist camps. Engaging in an intense firefight at Chigbolu village, Kachia Local Government Area, the troops overpowered the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandoning their captives. A thorough sweep of the area led to the rescue of 13 victims, comprising 6 males and 7 females, as well as the recovery of one AK-47 rifle, 87 rounds of 7.63mm ammunition, 4 magazines, a locally fabricated rifle and the sum of ₦192,220.00. Additionally, 5 solar panels, 5 mobile phones, dry rations, and clothing items were recovered. The rescued victims have been promptly evacuated to 1 Division Medical Services and Hospital for medical attention. In another decisive operation, troops in Kachia Local Government Area have intercepted two notorious terrorist logistics suppliers, Mallam Usman Waikili and Salisu Idris, at Kagarko village. The troops confiscated the sum of ₦1,306,700.00, three SIM cards, 2 mobile phones, 3 national identity cards, 8 ATM cards, 2 Moniepoint POS machines, an MTN MiFi and other items from the suspects. In a separate operation in Suleja, Niger State, troops stormed a terrorist hideout, triggering a fierce exchange of gunfire. The troops' overwhelming firepower led to the neutralization of 3 terrorists, while 3 others, identified as Mallam Halalu, Mallam Suleiman, and Mr. Musa, were captured alive. The suspects led the troops to a hidden armoury, where 3 AK-47 rifles, 121 rounds of 7.62mm (special)ammunition, and the sum of ₦4,079,000.00 were recovered. These decisive operations, which culminated in the rescue of abducted persons and the dismantling of terrorist networks, reaffirm the Nigerian Army’s unwavering resolve to eliminate banditry and terrorism, marking a significant victory in the ongoing fight for peace and security across the nation. I stopped worl over 2years ago after some issues at my former place of work. Then i focused on my hand contract work which I get once in a while to sustain me an my family. But right now i don't like the thing about staying at home constantly, maybe it's good I should be going out like others. So i applied for work in a company which I just got. But I'm now contemplating about taking the job due to how I go use to my freedom of scheduling and making good use of my time, but if i take the job now, I'll resume by 7:30am and close by 3 or 4pm... Please guys do you think i should take the job? |

I've noticed something very important about white people, peecisely the owners of English Language (England & USA). They speak English without minding past tense, present tense and rules of english. Their main concern is that they are able to communicate, but once you come to Nigeria, they we pay so much attention to English and it's rules, present tense, past tense, this and that of English language to the extend that once you speak a wrong English, listeners look at you with disdain or as an illiterate to the extend that you feel ashamed. Eberyboy wants to speak English and forgetting our various mother's tongue. While 99% of countries in the world that speak English first of all have their own language which they speak & love so much. 1 Like |

I'm from plateau and the truth about the ministerial slot is that APC has a serious problem within themselves in the state. Infact their members are just decamping anyhow. Reason why the pms Is pure like water. Petrol has different colors, When it's Red that means Octane was added. When it's slightly Green then Octane is slightly very much. When is Yellow it means it has no lead in it. That means it's unleaded. But when it's clear as water as seen in the picture below, then you should know that ethanol was used . What ethanol does is that it improves engine efficiency and power. Because ethanol has a good amount of oxygen it lessens the amount of carbonation in engines there by reducing air pollution which comes as Carbon monoxide. Best form of Petrol so far. 3 Likes
