This mother is obviously financially reckless. No single learning material, just toys and shoes, most of which would be useless to the kid in some months cos kids grow fast at that stage.
Invest in your kid's future instead of spending all on useless toys just to impress people on social media. You had her but watch out, she will not get nothing from this. |

Nairaland General › My Opinion On The Libya And Nigeria Football Saga by Afriifa(op): 12:50pm On Oct 16, 2024 |
We'll blame the Libyans for their condemnable treatment against our superstars but their treatment of the Nigerian Flag to me is well deserved. The apex football authority in Libya while expressing their apologies and regrets seemingly noted that they experienced a similar incident while in Nigeria. The Nigerian Football Federation noted that the Libyans although never disclosed their travel plans, however landed in Port-Harcourt instead of their supposed destination which is Uyo. The football authority also went further to note that in their efforts to resolve the unpleasant developments, they made flight arrangements for the visitors who apparently opted out because of the cost implications. The Main Twist: Now, anyone in his right senses would know that the cost implications were quoted in U.S dollars and if so, how much did the NFF officials quote as expenses to convey the visitors by flight from Port-Harcourt to Uyo? Notwithstanding the above, Nigeria and Nigerians generally, don’t have a global reputation of being transparent people, or people with integrity, therefore, it was only natural for the Libyan officials to opt out, considering the possible propensity of being cheated on by whoever is providing the air logistics.
The Sleeping Giant: Failing Big Brother Duties There is a common saying that the day Nigeria wakes up, Africa as a continent would rise. It is my observation that Libya is a nation of less than 10 million people which is like 4.5% of Nigeria’s population of 220 million people. Nigeria's GDP is 362.81 billion US dollars in 2023 while that of Libya is 50.49 billion US dollars as reported by World Bank. This puts the Arab nation’s Economy size as approximately 14% of Nigeria’s GDP. So where is the role of the African giant - Nigeria when our supposed guests made a mistake about their flight destination and landed in Port-Harcourt instead of Uyo? What will it cost the Nigerian government through the NFF to arrange flight logistics for our guests in a very hospitable and big brother manner that we always claim to be (i.e., without shifting the costs to them)? I am a patriotic Nigerian, and I was really disappointed that we could not come to the rescue for our small African brothers in our home soil Nigeria when they made a mistake about their flight destination.
Disclaimer: This is merely my opinion on the subject so you’re free to argue against it. #Afrifa writes from the darkness that beams your light. |

Nairaland General › Police Arrests And Phone Calls: What Does The Constitution Say? by Afriifa(op): 12:12pm On Sep 29, 2024 |
First, I want to issue a disclaimer that this article is not aimed at ridiculing the Nigerian security forces in their entirety but to critique their act of professionalism when dealing with citizens in their day-to-day activities. I have been appaled by the professionalism of the Nigerian security operations, especially the police force, for a number of reasons, and I am sure I am speaking for most Nigerians when I say there is "no love" for the police. I am not a lawyer by profession, and neither do I have good knowledge of the constitution in matters that relate to police vs. citizens, so whatever argument I am presenting here is directed by my moral and ethical compass, which of course is subjective. Thus, my desire for a constitutional view from the legal experts in the house. First, it has come to my notice that the Nigerian security operatives, especially the police, find it highly offensive in your attempt to access your phone and will wrestle you out from contacting anyone once they attempt to arrest you. The question is, why? Secondly, they will antagonise you in your attempt to have them on camera or video whenever you're having a conversation with them. The question is, why? I have the following to say from a moral and ethical point of view. If you're not on an ilicit assignment: (1) Why should you deny someone the moral right to communicate with their loved ones their current state of affairs and their whereabouts? (2) Why should you feel threatened or agitated when a citizen simply wants to cameralize your activities with them? Consider a scenario where Mr. Ade, on his way from Port-Harcourt to Benin, was stopped by a team of policemen on the highway. Is it wrong for Mr. Ade to go live on Facebook to reveal his conversation with the police officers? In an instance where Mr. Ade failed to resolve the issue he was being stopped for and the police requested that he follow them to the station, can't Mr. Ade at least make a phone call to his loved ones? or cameralized these police officers who are trying to take him into custody? What are your answers? And what does the constitution say about these matters? |

Family › Re: UK Police Probe Cop Telling Nigerian Women 'Do Not Call Police On Your Husbands' by Afriifa(m): 7:06am On Sep 13, 2024 |
Botragelad: Are you bloody kidding me? You're only worried about how divorce affects the kids, but what about the poor woman/man getting battered by their partner?
Call the cops as many times as you need, and if they are being abusive, get a restraining order. Don't downplay the small stuff, it can turn deadly fast. Thousands of women die trying to brush off minor incidents. Report everything, no matter how small. Your life's worth more than that. Oga, any matter wey reach u to call police, just kuku file for divorce. I am not an abusive person, so if I have some minor issues at home with a wife and she called the police on me because she believes she has an upper hand in the context of the UK, man that woman just submitted her divorce files by that single act, and I will be so generous in giving her the divorce. For God sake, people even gets into physical fights without calling the police to interfere. Twins fight dirty.. Me wey na just mouth quarrell we do for morning, I leave u go work. Probably still the expect my dinner by the time i return, then I hear from work say police the find me from colleague, unto why? your wife report you.. Omo.. do u know the amount of reputational damage that could cause if am actually a decent staff at work? Most Nigerian women gets too familiar with their husband that they don't even know the value of his image outside so they can do anything rash. The rules remains, if I no hit u, or even threaten to physically assault u, n u call police on me.. I go divorce u.. |
