Building Code - 003
Had two options to pick from...
To You, which would you go for...
Let us know your reasons too...
Client is watching as well coz I posted it based on his permission to do so...

See plans below...

Cc - Spyder880, Hajj M, mufutau55, Rotecch77, N3xt, Focusmind, TKDRafter, Chekitaut and others I can't mention all.

I prefer the B Option mainly due to the cross-ventilation in the Main Sitting Room.

How much will it cost - Design & Construct in Ibadan?

Arigo

Health / Re: Are Ankara Facemasks Harmful? (Fact Check By PoliticsNigeria: FALSE) by afrique7: 9:28am On May 22, 2020
Thank you for the information. However it must be noted that using of face mask is not an absolute protection from the virus. Using face masks are effective only when used in combination with frequent hand-cleaning with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. Face mask does not prevent you from breathing the contaminated air if you are exposed to such air except if you are wearing a respirator (https://www.ohscanada.com/overtime/face-masks-vs-respirators/)

The most important benefit wearing a face masks does for you, is that it prevents you from touching all places (Nose and Mouth) where the virus can enter your body system, if you hand were to be contaminated before you wash your hand.

You can go to the WHO website for more information about when and how to use face masks.

I have been a Nairalander since 2015 and I hardly respond to topics being discussed but this response really touched a nerve in me. I have been a residence of Ibadan since my birth before relocation overseas in the early 2000 and it pains me to see our public officials trying to defend what is indefensible.

Firstly, for the management of the UCH to say "Late Oluwaseun was given the best medical service that she required when she was brought in" is a lie and everybody that have used (either as patient or relatives of patient) the hospital knows that for a fact.

I can only say this because of my personal experience with the lost of my Father who died in with complication due to Diabetes. My dad was admitted to UCH where he receives treatment for his condition when he fell and had a cut on his leg plus a strain.

Due to UCH negligence he was given a Drip with sugar content which made his body sugar increase. He started to bloat/swell all over the body and no one (Nurse, Consultant, Doctors etc) noticed that the drip they gave to him was sugary until it was too late and he died aged 68 year.

This is just one off uncountable cases/life that have been lost unnecessarily due to all hospital negligence in Nigeria.

I agree that the hospital might have the best medical brains but when there is no compassion shown to patients by medical personnel in Nigeria then your medical degree/knowledge is nothing.

Also if the UCH management can still say that they offer "excellent medical service", then we have real problem in Nigeria and it is really shameful.

Science/Technology / Re: Big Python Killed In Lagos Today by afrique7: 1:52pm On Jan 21, 2016
This is telling us that we are encroaching in the dwellings of this animals. With our policy of "No planning", where we keep developing estates in these animal's habitats. You can see that there seem to be a lot of this Python/snakes being killed in this estates of recent.
We need to plan our land not keep building wherever we can find land NOT caring for nature.
