casualobserver: your attempts at gaslighting has failed before it took off.
It matters because your actions then are still your actions now. For example, you are the only people in 2023 who voted 90% for their kinsman and you want to tell us Bringing up 1960 is insane? Even the North did not do that! When your actions start to deviate from your past actions then what happened in 1960 will be the past! until then!
Aja nwachukwu was the minister for education then. guess what? It was his son as minister for education under yaradua that removed history from our curriculum. The history you dont want people to know we shall tell! Zero context. Igbos have been marginalised in this country hence the 2023 voting pattern. Imagine that Yoruba has never had a president in Nigeria since independence, would you and your kin not vote for a yoruba candidate in every single election cycle? This happens all over the world particular where there's deep rooted marginalisation. In USA for example African American voters voted for Obama at almost 99% during the 2008 election cycle. Why do you think they did so? |

casualobserver: people that when they controlled the government in the 1960s awarded 11 of of 22 schorlarships from germany meant for the whole country to their kinsmen from the east....not just from the eastern region as it was then but from his village. The same people that out of 608 federal schorlarships awarded 387 to their region, the same people that installed their own kinsmen as vice chancellors in all the universities at the time are complaining that a yoruba man is in power and appointed a yoruba man as InEc commisioner. Oga, the year is 2025. I am not even Igbo, but this your diatribe is extremely silly. Bringing up 1960s in 2025 is insane! |

When will you guys understand that no one, I mean no one will ever love or care for you more than yourselves. Use your head for once. It is not about bragaddo, criminality or who be man, use your head, if you can't think properly and strategically, hire some one that will do that for you.
I don't know whether it is due to intimidation or timidity or inferiority complex, or short term insignificant pecuniary benefits/crumbs that is disturbing you guys! They will smile and open teeth with you, but deep down their hearts, they don't love you one bit. They are all after that crude oil and gas.

Family › Re: My Elder Sister Has Cut All Of Us Off - What Can I Do? by Afrobasic(m): 11:31am On Sep 23, 2025 |
Beerbeer: We are four siblings in my family: two boys who are twins and two girls. When my mum passed, my elder sister stood in as a parent for us. She paid for our university education and sent us monthly allowances for feeding. In fact, three of us would have dropout if not for her. Even when I graduated from school, she was still sending me 30k every month, pending when I get a job. This is in addition to also sending same to my siblings and my father. She has done this for close to 10 years without complaint.
Recently, I finished a project that paid me 2.1 million. This is how I spent the money: I gave 500k to my church to thank them for getting me the job. 300k to my father. 100k to my stepmum. 100k to my second sister. Bought 700k laptop to help with my coding job. I used the rest to pay rent, change my wardrobe, clearance from school, and feeding.
My elder sister found out from my twin brother and got angry because I didn't tell her anything about the job or the money. She was also angry because I didn't set aside money for my twin brother going to law school this year.
To be honest, I didn't think it was a big deal to tell her. I knew my twin was in safe hands cos she was already handling that so I didn't bother. Before now, she had already paid the law school fees (about 500k). So I thought it was settled. I tried to reason with her but she refused to hear.
She was also angry I didn't tell her about the laptop. I knew I messed up here because she was the one that encouraged me to pick up coding and even bought my first laptop. I told her I wanted to finalize everything but it made her angry tye more. She blocked me and I also found out she blocked everyone else including our father.
All these happened in April. I thought she would calm down by now. But I just discovered that she has moved out of our state without telling anyone. She has blocked all the numbers we tried to reach her.
My twin brother said she only sends him allowance for law school (100k every month) and has blocked his number so he won't contact her. He is the only person she sends money to now as she has stopped giving us as before.
I am so confused. Why is she acting like this? Shouldn't she be happy for me? Nairalanders help me.
File photo from Google The boldened really annoyed me. How much did the church contribute to you for 10 years? Your sister bore your burden for all that time and you did not even see her worthy of even mentioning your 2.1m success? You are actually very If not for nairaland censors, I would have cursed you bitterly. |

Few days ago, the same "protests" in Indonesia where Chinese investors have ploughed over $5BN into factories and mines.
Why are some people unhappy with Chinese investments across the global south? The West has a huge hand to play in all these protests. For one they do not want the global south to prosper. Another reason is they do not want China to prosper. |
