Make dem drug test these Brighton players. Leading 3-0 and still pressing Assanal like brezz. |

izzou:You don convert finally. Hehehe.

Despite all the "Chavarria is bae", "Henderson is solid", "Barco is fluid" and other comedic punchlines, na 3 kondo end am.

Roland17:Yeah, it is a loss. I don't think the club did anything wrong in his particular situation to make him leave cos the club has been bending over backwards for a while now to accommodate his dad's wishes. Some might even say the club was far too accommodating of them. The boy was for a short period with you guys, and then Chelsea, and then West Ham, and then joined us all before he turned 12. His father is notorious for his antics and i have touched on it several times here. Having said that, an impartial assessment is that he might be making the right decision for his career. It all depends on where he ends up next. We have mismanaged a lot of talented academy players of late and when they flop people will start saying that they were never good in the first place. IMO if he ends up at Barca, City, Bayern, or even with you guys his football development would be better, and his father won't have the cachet to be making ridiculous demands at such well-run clubs. The 2 clubs that would be mistakes are Real Madrid and Chelsea. Those are our ogas in terms of mismanaging young talent. The whole situation is just indicative of our current place in the footballing world where a 15yr old unproven player and his father think that they are doing us a favor. The father does not rate us and was always going to try to move the boy to a club he thinks is bigger and better either this year or next year. It is what it is. |
MRTA7:Sad state of things at the club all round. I was looking forward to him, Ajayi, Ngwashi and co having a go at the FA Youth Cup. |
MRTA7:You are right. This is why he is asking the club to deregister him so he can be free to register with another club. We can dig in our heels and keep him until the end of the season, but what would be the point? |
larride:He is registered to be with us until the end of the season, but it is not a pro contract, so the compensation won't be much. The compensation will be even smaller if he goes to a club outside the UK like Barca. He is asking the club to deregister him and cancel his registration. Apart from the Barca links i mentioned in my previous post, he turns 16 next month at which point he can legally move to a European club, and i think this move is timed perfectly. Having followed the guy's career since his Kid Messi days at age 10-11 there was always a big chance that he was going to leave prematurely. Even if he stays this season there would be another drama next year or the year after. It could be over minutes, salary, jersey number or image rights. At least until he is independent and out of his father's control. Maybe if he moves to a top club like Barca or Madrid or even City his father will be controllable. |
MRTA7:The dad has always been a bit passive-aggressive. Anybody who has followed the boy's career knew this was coming at some point. The dad was a footballer who didn't reach the top level, and he seems to be living the diva life vicariously through his son. I also suspect Barca because the boy appears to be a fan of the club and his idols are Messi, Neymar, Yamal. There is also the Nike connection. Barca would be best for his football education. Don't rule out City though. They are the masters of under the table payments, and they nearly got him at the start of last season. |
MRTA7:Hehehe. The dad has been hinting at/threatening it for a while. If he leaves i suspect it will be for Barca or Man City which might be the best for his football education anyway. |
JJ Gabriel demands to leave the club. It was always going to happen. |
patrickmuf:Within 5 minutes of Man City going 1 man down i started suspecting we would lose the game. Our intensity dropped immediately. Maguire and Martinez started romancing the ball at the back feeling like BTEC Beckenbauers. Our pressing dropped and City with a man down were able to beat our press better than when they had 11 players. Dalot kept putting us in trouble with calamitous moves at the back and i actually believed he would be the one to finish us, but Dorgu wanted to show his own color too. Another time it was Bruno that just carelessly kicked the ball towards our 18-yard box from midfield leading to a Man City counter. Santos is our 4th or 5th choice CM. Bought for 50m, but the club could not afford to buy a 1st choice LB Carrick also sits on his hands a lot and is not proactive and when he eventually makes a move it is often the wrong one. There is blood on everybody's hands. Olokpa lo ma ko everybody. |
You appointed a Championship manager (jeopardy) and then decide not to back him fully in his first transfer window (double jeopardy). 2 wrongs do not make a right. |
raumdeuter:People that were calculating football form and performance solely as arithmetic. Those who don't learn from history are condemned to repeat it. |
patrickmuf:As lazy as lazy does. Maybe people will start understanding the reason many interim managers have a positive bounce in results from now on. If it ends up being demonstrated that we repeated the Ole mistake it will be very funny. |
Conte ke?
|
Englishisamust:The thing dey funny. You watch this match and you leave Dalot, Dorgu, Rashy, Cunha, Maguire and co to be criticising Mainoo. |
odizeey:This your Mainoo agenda is funny. For some reason you have been attacking the guy of recent. In this match he had the most touches, the most passes, the highest passing accuracy, and gave the most key passes. A tree can't make a forest. He did his job. What were his teammates doing? |
Instead of thanking Carrick for his job last season and letting him go, those who do not learn from history gave him the permanent job. Another wasted season. |
CapitalCee:Cunha won't stay wide and will just crowd the central areas. |
We lost to 10-man Everton so nothing can surprise me with these ones. |
Strolling tempo. As lazy as lazy does. |
Hmmm we are playing 10 v 10. Dalot has been a short one so far. |
This drama queen Newcastle fan of a ref again. |
