Food / Re: Man Shares Disgusting Pics Of Expired Nigerian Product With Altered Dates by Agbegilodo: 12:27pm On Mar 24, 2015

I feel so sorry and pity for vibrant Nigerian youth on Nairaland, when they create misunderstanding between each other with the Buhari and Jonathan issue, how do you expect a confused president to lead a country, and how can a aspiring presidential candidate lead a country when he is been funded by corrupt politicians. Jonathan is not moving us to the promise land, Buhari will fail whole fully if he tries to, I weep for my country simply because our youth can't take the responsibility of a future leader! Oh Nigeria I cry for thee... We want change and that change is revolution, not the miserable PDP and APC corrupt mongers change or continuity.

And how is this connected to the topic at hand

If by chance Buhari wins this election, extremely hard times lies ahead for this country.

Definitely, the creeks will go haywire again, Buhari will send the troops to the creeks and together they will set the oil facilities ablaze.

While these persists, the oil producing companies will simply withdraw their personnel from the volatile region and all foreign investment will seize in all sectors. And even if the troops kill 90% of the militants, it will take just one militant, a dynamite and just one location along the multi- kilometre trunklines to continue to wreck havoc.

Fast forward to 2019, if we remain one country and without a civil war,, we will be an economic wreck with no allocations and salaries, no capital projects, no hope with dollar exchanging for 400 naira and we are worse off than we were in 2015.

Cos the truth is that without crude proceeds for now, Nigeria is finished.

And then, we'll be screaming another 'Change' because we would have learnt a bitter lesson in the hands of the Fulanis, Tinubu and Saraki. And then we will ask.... Why were we this silly?

And before you quote me, make sure you outline in clear terms how you or Buhari will avert this obvious calamity staring us in the face

Only last week, they creek boys seem to have resumed activities by kidnapping at Yoho facility operated by Exxonmobil and have shut in 80KBD already. Are we ready for this for the next 4 years?

The entire world stands to benefit from a crisis in the Niger delta. Its not a coincidence that USA who abandoned us at the height of bokoharam is busy shouting for change in govt . Crises in the ND will reduce supply of crude to the Oil market and that would drive up the price of crude for producing countries.... But at Nigeria's expense.

Nigerians.... Be Warned!!!

So because of threats to disrupt oil production we should continue to tolerate this extreme level of corruption? You are definitely employed by the Oil and Gas industry so you are trying to protect your bread and butter while millions of Nigerians wallow in abject poverty due to lack of good governance. .. We are moving beyond all these threats.... WE WILL CAST OUR VOTES BASED ON THE QUALITIES OF THE CANDIDATES AND WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO FOOLISH THREATS... NEVER AGAIN. ...

Politics / Re: My Horrible Experience During GEJ Campaign In Abia State. by Agbegilodo: 10:19am On Jan 17, 2015
olrotimi:
@op,this obviously is ur first encounter with a military zone, be it ad hoc or permanent. This also is ur first encounter with the visit of a high security personnel. what you encountered is standard security protocol:
^ You don't make /receive phone calls @or around a military check point. How many times do we have to go over this? With the tense security situation in the country, a simple call can can set off a remotely placed bomb & also inform nutheads about security formations & arrangements. MAKING/RECEIVING PHONE CALLS IN SUCH ENVIRONMENT IS A FAUX PAS.
^ Those you saw lying down committed varying offences. In such military zone, you don't behave lousy, you move in a regimented manner(don't unnecessarily cross the road), don't drive ur bike through(get down and push the bike along)
^ Road blocks are normal, to check flow of traffic & divert traffic from the vicinity of the event. It's standard Nigerian military protocol and didn't start in 2011.
^ The military men you encountered were nice & in good spirit. ur lucky they didn't make you frog jump 100m before asking you who you were. Take your grievance to any Nigerian court and you would end up wasting money on lawyers cos you would never win such a case.

I weep for Nigeria based on the number of likes this statement has gathered. It is a true justification of Fela's zombie song. Why should people become prisoners in their own abode because the president is coming to visit?? only in Nigeria, I had the opportunity of living in Qatar for a while, when the Emir (a man more important / influential than a Nigerian president) is going about, you will only experience a 10min delay in traffic as all the security personnel are already stationed at the various junctions and will only stop traffic when his entourage is getting close. This effect is also a reflection of good leadership and organisation.
Here we are justifying crude and barbaric behavior. God forbid if an individual has a family member with an emergency and they need to reach the person, you will harassed for using your phone?. What stops one from staying in a house close to the street and using the phone to cause mischief?
Bottom line, a leader's visit should be bring joy and satisfaction to the people he his leading. Unfortunately in Nigeria, we experience pain and suffering...
Anyway just passing through.... I need to stop here before police will seize my IPad because his excellency is in town...

Romance / Re: I Dated My Girlfriend For 2yrs Not Knowing She Was Already Engaged To....... by Agbegilodo: 12:13pm On Dec 11, 2014

one of the reasons why you must s.ex any girl you're dating. You wouldn't really feel that much like a loser when shits like this happens .
my friend if you truly love someone... It does not matter whether you have had sex with her in the past.... On the contrary it may even be more discouraging as you may think it's your inability to satisfy her that resulted in your losing her... (Because Okafor's law is still valid... If you are man enough... wink)..

It's a real pity that the guy was treated in this manner (if this story is for real)..... He should take heart and move on, there is nothing left to salvage here. Such a woman can even kill him... He needs to tell his Parents the situation the way it is. Unfortunately, love can make one overlook a lot of things, because the handwriting must have been on the wall for a while.
The painful thing here is it is going to take a while for the young man to trust again and that is a real pity. He should please, I repeat please not try to lose faith in love and trust. He just happened to give those virtues to the wrong woman....

This just goes to show the level of poverty in the land, for N900,000 ($5000) delegates are prepared to sacrifice the future of their younger generations. This money cannot even pay the rent for a family apartment in a decent area in Lagos. If na me, I will collect he money and still vote for the person that I like. If a politician wants to throw money away, please just send it my way.....
Politics / Re: The Truth About Fashola's Success by Agbegilodo: 11:26pm On Dec 25, 2012
omosexy1:

Fashola should be building more bridges from Island to Mainland to reduce the traffic congestion on 3rd mainland (which is even artificial). He should stop categorizing roads as Federal road. Oshodi-Apapa road is in shambles yet no work has been done because they say it is a federal road.

Please stop all these ignorant posts... Why should a state government repair a federal road with scarce resources? The same road you are complaining about has been awarded to Julius Berger by the Federal Government years back. The only time the state government will fix a federal road is if the FG will agree to refund the expenses. However, the Federal Ministry of Works will kick against this because that is where they get their "bread and butter" from.

@OP... Don't really know what your agenda is but you need to grow up. Lagos State has definitely changed for the better... If you don't like it please relocate to another state. No be by force to live in Lagos. You also complained on the cost of the new houses i.e. N10 - N15 million naira... Do you want the Lagos Sate government to dash you house?? Making a dumb statement that no new road has been built by the Fashola administration requires to go to church and pray for forgiveness before the new year...

I have my own issues with the state government with regards to the Lekki Toll and the fact that there is little access to portable water in Lekki Phase 1... But I also know that there are numerous projects competing for the same resources and any responsible government will have to prioritize the order in which the projects are executed.

I think it is a pure waste of energy trying to convince the OP on the acheivements of the current administration........

Please read the story well, the woman should be allowed to see her daughter. Femi thought he was having fun in the village and deceiving the poor woman back in the days. He even got her pregnant twice.
She is not claiming custody, all she wants is to meet with her daughter. It is now left for the duaghter to decide what she wants to do. Take care of her mum or just move on with her life.
