Afenifere, bunch of shameless people. |
saintikechi:Me, a tenant in an Igbo man's house? Do they even have house at all? Bunch of noise makers. Some of us are blessed from our forefathers generation. |
saintikechi:Your father's father cannot lace my shoes. You think everybody is like you people that entered lagos with red mud tainted sandals. |
tupem:I don't have time for mega weres like you. |
tupem:You can be an hoten tot, who bloody cares? If you like you can come from Timbuktu, Kalamazoo or Kandahar, that is your head ache, ashiere. |
OAM4J:to be candid, I don't know any for now. They must be a set of people that are passionate and committed to good governance and not chop-I-chop politics. |
There can only be "One Nigeria" when there is mutual respect. You can not be living in my region and be insulting me and you expect me to be hailing you. They can do that to the minority ethnic groups in SS, definitely not yorubas. This are people that built empires, fought wars and conquered lands, that some people's forefathers never achieved. They will now call the sweat of my forefathers No Man's land and I should be applauding them because of ONE NIGERIA. Mba, it can't work that way. Respect and being accommodating must be reciprocated in full measures. |
ilugunboy:Anytime Bro. We can lock it down at the Place on Admiralty. |
ilugunboy:PDP can not. A new formidable party will emerge out of this seemingly over crowded APC with time. The only hope for PDP is for them to rejuvenate the party with young and visionary leaders that can appeal to the youths. |
This is not good for our democracy. We need a vibrant and dogged opposition for us to continue to enjoy good governance. We all witnessed the miracle GEJ did within 6weeks based on strong opposition. It clearly shows politicians are only interested in their pockets and self interests. |
poppincash:Wonders shall never end. So, the argument has changed from the number of cities that were former FCTs to the number of years now? As usual, you always think you are smarter than others, whereas others can see through your folly. |
Sweetlemon:When we call them emotional human beings, they always refute it. This is a classical example. People should endeavour to listen to what is posted here and deduce the atmosphere and in the context in which Oba's statement was made. PDP deliberately twisted the whole story to play on the emotions of the unsuspecting ibos. |
. |
This is very laughable. You need to listen to the response of their representatives. They were all in a jovial mood with the Oba of Lagos and some blew the statements out of proportion. |
Other contestants are talking to all.and sundry -- be it hausa, edo, anang, ibibio, fulani, ogoni etc. Why is Jimi and PDP making it a sectional campaign and hell bent on dividing a peaceful land of the yorubas. |
tupem:People like you are shallow minded and blinded by greed and covetousness. Why is it only SEerners that PDP is using to put the election on their head. Are Ibos the only ones in Lagos? |
If they like, let them import the whole of SE to vote for JK, he will lose. It is as sure as daylight. |
truefact:Who wants you in Nigeria? You killed the leaders of other regions and Northerners reacted and you declared Biafra, thinking you are wiser than others. |
This is Africa where people have eternal allegiance and spiritual connections to their forefathers land. Just like Europe and Asia. State of Residence and Place of birth can never see the light of day, talkless of working Even Europeans have strong allegiance to their land. That is why a Welsh is forever one and Scottish is one and a German will not trade a grain of its soil. That is having pride in your ancestral lineage. Only America, Canada and Australia can have state of residence or place of birth because they are a migrant country. Nigeria is not a migrant country. Likewise Africa, Europe and Asia. |
They shall see Florida Voting System on Saturday. |
Megaphone:Funny you. You were basing your argument of Lagos being a former FCT and now you have turned the argument to number of years, the number of years is immaterial and incosequential, in as much as former capital of Nigeria appellation is on a city. The cities are Lokoja, Calabar, Lagos and presently Abuja. You are a fake revisionist. Which land in Nigeria was not colonised by the British, even the gully eroded Biafra. When the British came, they met only sea shore or thick forest in Lagos? |
Kzinne:Another shifting of goal post. It is not how long but which cities have been FCTs before, that are qualified for the ''No Man's Land'' status. |
Lokoja was the first capital Calabar was the 2nd Lagos was the 3rd Abuja is the 4th. Are they all no man's land? |
As much as I love him, his devilish clannish and divisive party can never make him realise his dream. |
PDP desecrating our traditional institution. Another low of lows of this divisive and clannish party. |
The Peoples Democratic Party has demanded the immediate suspension of Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, till after the governorship and state House of Assembly elections in Lagos State. The party called on Governor Babatunde Fashola to suspend the first-class monarch. It said this was necessary in order to guarantee free, fair and credible elections in the state. In a statement issued on Tuesday by Lagos PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Taofik Gani, the party stated that it had also alerted the security agencies to hold the monarch responsible for any attack on non-indigenes or PDP members in Lagos. According to the PDP, which is the major opposition party in the state, the silence of the governor of the state, Fashola, over 48 hours after such inflammatory statement and threat to life suggests that the king acted on behalf of the state government. The statement said in part, “The governor is thus a conspirator in this threat to life and must also be held accountable for any violence in this elections. We have at this point been vindicated about the desperation of the APC to retain Lagos state at all cost including the All Progressives Congress’ plan not to concede the imminent defeat on April 11. “The positions of the PDP are coming on the heels of the now viral threat issued by the Oba of Lagos to Igbos that they must vote for the APC Governorship Candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or be drowned in Lagos water.” Despite the alleged threat to their lives, PDP urged Lagos non-indigenes and others to be part of Saturday’s voting exercise. |
The same way there was no voting for GEJ but rigging in SE/SS and likewise Buhari in the north, it is the same way we will vote on Saturday. We await anybody's father's father at the polls on Saturday. You will see the Florida Voting System with the crowd of yorubas that will troop out. The die is cast. U na go know say Shango senior Amadioha in all ways. |
We shall also drag the whole of Anambra to ICC too. This is the end of PDP in SW. They know we do not play with our culture and tradition and using some foreigners to dare insult it, definitely marks the end of the party in SW. LP, SDP and AP can become the opposition parties and definitely not PDP again on this soil. |
Tydies:Before Igbos, there was Lagos and after them, there will still be Lagos. You waka come.there without any body begging you to come or you heard that Lagos is doing Immigration Lottery? |
Tinubu and Fashola caused this nonsense. That is why Awolowo was and is still the greatest Yoruba man. The Sage can see into the future like a seer. He knew what the antics of the future would be and he mitigated by dumping Azikiwe back into alaigbo. |
EUROBOMBER:Sincerely I have soft spot for JK but the sectional and divisive ploy he has added to the campaign is pissing me off. The damage PDP did during the. Presidential election is not enough, they have now descended to a new low of bringing it down to state politics. Unfortunately, they found a ready tool in Igbos. This might not go down well. Ohaneze threatening a yoruba Oba on his land is a big mistake. They should have called for peace. No Oba will apologies in Yorubaland. That is the tradition and it stands. Mark my words. Let us all continue to tow the line of peaceful coexistence and respect for others and their tradition. #superstar1 |
