Good afternoon people. Please I need to ask if there is any problem with online UK online visa application at the time or the problem is just perculiar to us. My husband received his COS last week and he has been trying to submit his Tier2 visa application since then. The problem arises at the stage where he had to make payments for IHS. The system keeps telling him thus ' PAYMENT DECLINED, CONTACT YOUR BANK OR CARD ISSUER'
He contacted First bank, they said he has no problem with his card, that it could be a problem with the IHS platform. He tried using another bank account, yet, same problem.
I need your help with this please.

U seem to be possibly a nurse. It's advisable u come over first since u don't have the means to come with ur wife and kids. When u are settled, u can then bring them over. Settling on time is also key as immigration health surcharge is to increase from £400 to about £625 as from October.
Remember u will need a proper accommodation also if paraventure u come over with them which is quite expensive. One bedroom is about £500 depending where u want to stay in the UK.
U will need about $2064 for both visa and IHS for one dependant. Multiply this by the number of dependants to give u how much u should be looking at. Then plus their flight fee. Of course u need to add tuberculosis test which has gone up to about 58,000 naira from 54k and also police cert.
In summary, u need a lot of cash to bring them over even when u arrive.

Well not too sure of their pay at present. But during my IT in 2008 with a marginal ("local' ) or indigenous oil company PPL in Delta state. It was up to 100k.

For multinationals their pay is very good, up to 300k if not direct staff. But for direct staff, it will be far far better.

Marginal oil firms are actually paying well now, I mean oil producing companies and not servicing companies.

You can follow up the listed indigenous companies below for job opportunities in your field.

Congratulations... IELTS is the main hurdle to going to the UK & that u have crossed. U will have to write CBT (120questions for 2 hrs) thereafter u will be invited to take ur OSCE in the UK then become a UK RN when u pass all exams. a graduate of BSc physics, is it better to go for Physics education or further with physics at masters level in UI? Putting in mind basically the job opportunities of each field coupled with the fact that i would want to travel abroad to settle after a short while in Nigeria.

I tank GOD 4 having kept me tru part1.It was stressful i must say,staying off camp as a fresher,going 2 skul ev'ryday,staying behind 4 nite class,just 2 mentn but a few.It was just GOD and finally putting smiles on my face @ d outcome of my exams,moving into part 2 comfortably without any shaking.BABA uTOO MUCH. I only peeped into dis helpful thread,den i saw my old friends,d likes of idybiosytic,alstarmayo,bigsam,iya muri, ,mac4u2nv,bigben,bakr_aras,and so on. I just want 2 wish all aspirant to put GOD 1st and 4get dose above u in jamb.I knw what GOD did 4 me.Its just prayers and always try 2 do your BEST. I also heard d rumour dat we will resuming Nov.not 4rm 1 person but several persons.No shaking anyway,am just still watching like an eagle.
