This thread is a wonderful place to source for ideas..
all thanks to the gurus. I’m new here just in case my question has been answered previously.

I’m really trying so hard to decide on which city to stay for job availability and conducive environment to bring up kids. We’re family if 4 and already gotten our visas. I’m to study at SHU (Sheffield) but classes are two times a week and online for now. I’m seriously considering staying with my family in a city where we can find good jobs and good houses to raise our little kids.

Please help. The gurus in the house. Everybody. Kindly help me .

Sheffield is okay. Try to stay not too far away from city centre as some employers do consider that. S1, S2, S3, S5, and some S10 have very good transport links to city centre.

Most part of sheffield are safe, Avoid areas where refugees stay e.g. Burngreave

For hustle jobs, you can apply to Amazon, Royal mail in sheffield, there are a lot of care jobs as well. You can search for teacheractive if you are interested in teaching jobs. The hospitality industry is also filled with jobs but covid might have knocked out a lot of positions.

Depending on your budget, you can find 2bedroom flat of £500 - £600 that's not to far from SHU.

Sorry I believe the PCR tests will be posted the next working day. If it is a pcr test to travel by post, they normally ship it the next working day, same as the day 2 and 8. The reason they ask for these dates is that they take account into the posting of the test to you and your return of the test to the lab, they use that to see if the order can be processed. The only test they send out the day before your test is due is the test to release which is timed for the 5th day(govt set strict rules this should get to the patient minimum day 4, but some F"~k ups happens with the posting).
I know this for 2 reasons my pharmacy where I work I deal with these questions every single day but the cheapest pcr test by post is "randox health" booked these for my parents and sister inlaws.

I have ordered for my day 2 an 8 tests (PCR) and it will be delivered the day after my arrival date. Probably this is different for the lab I used.

An airbnb. Dont know if it is appropriate to call the management to pick it up?

What date did you choose as your arrival date when paying for the tests, because if you choose August 26th, then they should ship on 27th and it should be delivered the same day.

Yes, you can call the management and asked them if they can pick up and keep it for you

Please I need suggestions on theses courses
Msc biotechnology
Msc oncology and molecular biology
Msc biomedical sciences

I studied Msc Biotechnology, later on, I discovered Biomedical Sciences would have been the better option. Three of my pals got jobs with NHS, though they have some certifications from Nigeria already.

NYSC / Re: What's Your Take On 2-Year NYSC Service? by AirBay: 6:10am On Jul 09
I think the service year should be extended to 3years grin, Alawi to 45k. Second and third year should be optional. Lastly, the military training should be excluded. What's the purpose of staying in a shit hostel for 3weeks.

He's brother was on the phone and asked him what he was doing with a black kid.

I was broken because we do hang out and at that moment I thought I was just some black kid. Then I told him to his face that he's a racist. That's all. Dude punched me.

So you actually called him a racist first grin

Pls for your health and safety, leave that house and do not call someone else a racist, he/she can sue you. Instead, get your evidence, report to the police.

Also remember, keep your cool, you no dy 9ja where you fit drag side by side.

A friend of mine who lived with some Caucasian students had to report to the accomodation agent when they would dispose all the plates, spoons, and cups he used in the kitchen grin he got a recording of them, presented it to the police and they were ejected from the house.

I'm a student. I feel very awful about the whole thing.

What led to this? I mean the punching, did he punch you without any provocation or argument? Were you trying to punch him as well? He "was" your friend undecided

As advised, you need to to move from your current location, but try as much as possible to avoid any sort of issues that may have led to this, if not you may start preparing to move from your next location as well grin

I remember years ago a black teenager (19 yr old) visited his white girlfriend in a racist part of Birmingham after dark but unbeknownst to him some white teenage boys were tracking them as the girl escorted him to the bus-stop and the guy and his girlfriend were waylaid as they walked through an alley way and the white guys used an axe to smash the black guys head killing him instantly.

I am moving to Birmingham soon, what part of the city? So I can avoid those areas. grin

You should be able to swap to GBP and then transfer to your back account using fasterpayment. I got an email from Binance saying withdrawals were still possible and I tried it.

Ok. Thank you.

That’s the same thing I am experiencing.. I seriously wish I had done priority, I chose standard because I felt it was too early and no need to rush since collecting mail takes just 15 working days.. Now application still shows received by DMC since 7th of June.

I did priority on 21st, no show too. Seems there's a rush @ the moment. Hopefully it should be sorted before the week runs out.
