People earning far less than me are also doing well. They are building their houses. That's the fact and the point I am trying to make.

Building houses where road no go reach. I went to visit a friend in Akobo lagos in 2012 during rainy season, 2024 the road is till the same shit but he lives in a 3 bedroom, pays 350k but the suffer head to reach this 3bdroom na wa. ... how inhumane can the govt of a country be.

When you compare obalende to Ikoyi, you will know something is definitely wrong with Nigeria.

Apologies if you're not lagos based grin

So of all I wrote about solar power you could no do the maths to calculate how much I will spend on installing a solar system in my house even when you replied specifically to the Energy needs post I made to a near estimation of N8m?
With your N200k you cannot afford to live in any of my " bed flat in PHC reason is that I let it out for N1.2m which comes to N120k a month then you got N80K left, So what quality of life can you possibly have or live with N80K netYou wanna tell us?

Hopefully he no go fall sick

I’m sorry, it will cost you less than half of what you quoted there. I just supervised the installation of a 3.5kva solar solution, total cost is N3.2m.
This will serve you a minimum of 3years before servicing. Servicing will definitely not cost more than half the installation price.
We’re all scholars here. You don’t have to exaggerate to make your point.
Someone earning £2k is not bigger than a 200k salary earner in Naija. They are only making more money for circulation than their Naija counterparts.

This is the problem with Nigeria... are you supposed to be the only one enjoying 24hours electricity in your neighbourhood even if you can afford it....how many people can afford 3.2m to set up a solar solution?

This is what we blame the politicians for... it starts from us.

Na why some hospitals dy use torchlight do surgical procedures..where I watch the video sef undecided

You are the one crying here. Am responding to what onyema said. I agree with his views having been here.. If u earn 400k in Nigeria you are better off most especially now as naira continues to gain strength.

No hug transformers oh. Since u hate your country n prefer to lick onyebo yash

Nowadays earning £2k is better than earning 400k in Nigeria. As far as I know, the goal for most people is not how much they earn but how much they save. Let me ask you, how many cities in Nigeria and how many job positions offer 400k salary?

£2k pounds monthly before tax is a very low pay in the UK which is earned mostly by new graduates, college graduates, hustlers (warehouse workers, auxiliary nurses "care workers level 1" bar tenders, excluding security, some basic security guys earn 3-4k Monthly)

What category of people earn 400k in Nigeria? How many new graduates earn 400k? With 400k you may be struggling to get a good house lagos if other responsibilities are added, Abuja is even out of the matter.

With a salary of £2k you can live conveniently in most part of England excluding some parts of London. Also you can earn £2k easily in UK whereas 400k is DIAMOND, GOLD, FRANKINCENCE combined together in Nigeria.

We have 36 States in Nigeria, less than 1% of people in 5 sates including FCT can boast of getting jobs paying 400k..400k salary in my state na Bank manager be that grin

Lastly, no one hates their country, it's the government and leaders people hate.. if your parents keep beating/hitting you, not feeding you, destroying your future, making your life miserable, not providing your basic needs from age 0 - 18, will you still love them? Almost 80% of people in their 30s-40s in Nigeria never get life direction, it is not their fault, people are making efforts but....let me stop here.

NB: this is salary comparison, £2k is a very basic salary in UK.. 200k or 400k is not a basic salary in 9ja.

Properties / Re: Houses Demolished In Eti-osa As Lagos Gov't Cracks Down On Illegal Structures by AirBay: 2:08am On Mar 10
10 beautiful houses on a drainage path can cause loss of lives and properties to thousands.

Beautiful houses or not, as long as they are verified to be on drainage path, the houses should be removed. I am sure the govt would have given a notice period but because some Nigerians are adamant, non chanlant and gullible.. they would still believe nothing go happen..

We shall be alright undecided

You don't have to tell me you have plenty to ask because from the fastness with which you replied me I already know you didn't even read(listen) to what I wrote that AS A NIGERIAN, NIGERIA IS THE BEST COUNTRY FOR YOU EVEN AS IS grin

What have you ever done for Nigeria? Have you even ever paid income tax?

How many country does their civil servants resume work at 10am and close at 2pm instead of 8a to 4pm?
How many country does their civil servants go about their personal businesses even at the duty post?
How many country does their civil servants collect payments from fellow citizens to carry out offical duties?

People like you like to compare the good things you see in other nations but are not ready to put in the Personal effort, patriotism and integrity that citizens of those nations put in to get at the results you like so much now....and mind you it's not a onetime input it is a continuous input to keep getting the good results...stop kicking your foot against the rock(Nigeria) grin

Truth, truth and truth.

Nigeria is having problems because 99.9% of the inhabitants are liars, cheaters and that area is full of lazy and dishonest set of individuals.

How will someone be selling cloths during office hours? How will a sensible person expect you to pay them for what the govt already pays them for? A market woman will reduce the module size to 9 cups instead of 10 to make more profit grin. The upper class will buy dollars from the govt and resell at high rates using their BDC instead of what they were approved for....

If everyone in Nigeria moved to a developed nation and all the inhabitants of that nation move to Nigeria, In few years we will all start applying for Nigeria visa again.

Literal translation of a proverb in my language talk say behaviour na like smoke, e go come out wherever you go. Over 40% of Nigerians abroad are still shit heads.

It's possible. I knew a man who made £10000 monthly.

Though he does not depend on uber rides alone. He has a client base, mostly Asian students that pays him to take them to parties and drive them back home. He got his base from uber.

Travelling is not achievement but imagine been able to save $200k in 6-7years. That is #300m with the current exchange rate If pegged at #1500 per dollar.

For a wise person it changes the course of their life especially if there are no opportunities for the individual back home. Travelling to specific countries help further and buttress your talent in some cases.

For the gullible, the social media freaks and other categories of people who see travelling out of the country as a means to show off to their peers back home. It will surely be a hell as their mind is not well prepared for what they would meet.

Unfortunately, no where is like home.. I hope one day Nigeria becomes better either way I am heading home eventually. May God help me grin

Really?? All the schools post on their site that one should get a supervisor first before applying irrespective of wether masters by course-work or by research.
I haven't heard of this one before
Thanks for your input

If you're considering moving without your hubby, go for the Alberta college. 2years gives you more than to plan and arrange yourself...1 year disappears in 2seconds. Obviously 2 years course is more expensive.

You don't need a supervisor to apply for a master's degree. A master's is different from a PhD but l will suggest you for for the Alberta to do a 2yr program in occupational therapy and physiotherapy assistance. With that you will get 3 years pgwp after graduation if ur school offer pgwp option!

She needs a supervisor especially for science courses.

But authority websites are saying they could go bankrupt without international student.
Or do you know more to what they are reporting?

If they where existing before without international student it means that enrollment has dropped gradually over the year's from home studente.
Morealso you have to know that home students pays 5k, 4k or sometimes 7k while international students pays as high as 23k and this funds are immediate. While home students with pennies spread their fees over the years evn with Government massive support.

Most schools, graduate, spend years to pay fees to come get their certificate.

One thing I found funny is Nigerian and Indians think they run UK unis.

How many Nigerians are in

Oxford
Cambridge
Imperial
King's
Andrews
Sheffield (not Sheffield hallam)
And many more.
