Hello All. My brother's fiance (US citizen) filed for a fiance visa on September 20 for my brother. Receipt was acknowledged on September 23, 2021 and a Receipt number (starting with WAC....) was sent via text message. Till date, no case number or anything. We used the receipt to track on this website, - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do - and "Case was received" message acknowledging the receipt of the petition was displayed.

Is this normal? How soon does it take to get a case number or is the receipt number the same as case number? January 23, 2022 will make the 4th month and nothing has been heard. Can someone with a similar experience please responsd.

It's only showing me that my case was received on April 6th 2021.
It didn't say if my case is being processed,ready or at NVC

Please I need more clarification

Hey Nairaland family, any idea what dates the NVC are working on now? We got a notice that our I-129F was approved in April 2021 but we have not received a notice from the NVC yet that the file has been sent to the consulate in Nigeria. Just trying to guage what approval dates they are attending to now at the embassy.

Goodday all, I am a US citizen but my fiancée is studying in Canada, I will like to file a k-1 visa for her but I want to be sure If she can go to the US embassy in Canada or she will have to go to the embassy in Nigeria when the time comes. She is not a resident of Canada, she is just a student studying there.

Now that my fiancee has fill out and submitted the Form i-134 (Affidavit Of Support Form, the last page of the form which is (page 9 which has a Do Not Mail around the border line ) Stated what other documents to be included. My Question now is (i) The page to append her signature ones she does that is she going to send it to me through courier services or E-mail ?

(ii). After she assemble all this papers where is she sending them all to ? i.e which address ?

Pls I need swift respond asap cos its almost 6th weeks now as stated that IT TAKES NVC 4-6WEEKS TO MAIL.OUT THE NEXT INSTRUCTIONS LETTER

You don't understand it, you can fill it online and print out, or u print out and fill with a black pen. You don't understand what they mean by filling online, they mean u can process it online but must be submit the form

Yes Both of you Can fill the Form together Online while She is with you, and Make the Payment with your Supporting Documents...........there's nothing like Rush here.......have seen person that got Married to her woman on her first visit to Nigeria and his Visa was Approved......the Earlier the Better Just get your Facts Straight

Is it a must that the lady must come to Nigeria before you can proceed for K1 visa

Guys pls, on part 8 of the k1 form which said additional information, if you don't have any additional information, do i still have to print that part and leave it blank and attach with others part forms or not download it because i don't have additional information?

Hello House, I need to.enquire about this. My fiancee was trying to fill up for affidavit of support and was told she needed her 2017, 2018 & 2019 tax papers ... She was able to contact irs for this and was issued 2018 & 2019 but she said her 2017 they delivered to her was showing 000.00. Can she use 2020 tax to replace 2017 cos she got her 2020 tax paper already and that's what's delaying her fro!m sending down to me. Cos out of 4 weeks to 6weeks stated on NOA 2 Paper that the NVC Letter would arrive next . now my question is is she mailing to me or to NVC??

To the US embassy in Lagos, and your intent letter has to be an updated one ( the date must be recent).

Have it in mind that you might not be asked for it but it’s good to have it at hand for the interview, just in case.
