I picked up my passport with my visa this morning my interview was November 10th, see below how it went:

I was interviewed by the same black male consular that was asking a lot of questions that looks like drilling, I was saying to myself that I don’t wish to be called by him though but after all questions and verification he approved me.

Questions:
1. Have you ever lived in another country for more than six months?
2. Have you committed a crime before?
3. Who’s your petitioner?
4. How many times has she visited?
5. How do you meet her ?
6. When I said Facebook he asked me how I found her, was I just searching for people on Facebook? I said Fb brought her page for me as ppl you may know then he started questioning about mutual friend and I was able to scale through.
7. Tell me about your fiancé ?
8. Then he paused me and started questioning about her kids.
9. What does she do ?
10. What do you do ?
11. Where do you work ?
12. Have you given her money before? Like financial support? Thank God that there was a time I supported her with a token through cash app so I printed the receipt with me and I was able to tell him with confidence that yes I have helped her before and I have the prove here with me, though he did not ask for prove.
13. Is that the only time you helped her ? I said and many other time that she visited I took her out and pay the bills.
14. He took my attestation of birth and show me an error that could have caused a problem, on attestation my mother’s first name is Taiwo and on petition it is Taiye but I had to keep telling him that they are both the same name and meaning in Yoruba culture but I shake small o coz the guy really worry me on that.
15. When did you both started talking?
16. Where did she stay during her visits ?

Lastly, he asked for divorce decree and he then said congratulations.

A lot of people were approved that day but only two people that I know of got denied because of just a little error, one was error of signature and money sent to his fiancé and the other is irregular answers or not sure.
Prepare well and early enough, those guys are ready to approve as well as ready to deny.

My CGI today shows a blank "Document Delivery Information" but it was "Your passport is still at US Embassy/Consolate" yesterday.

Good day everyone , please I have a question I want to ask that is bothering me ......what will happen if the approval date expired before the nvc send you the case number because according to some people that receive there own..., some receive there own on 43days , 52days ,2 months and 3months ....what will happen if you didn't receive it before the approval expired date ....any solution for that ...thanks

I know this topic has been discussed numerous times, but I honestly didn't see any of them particularly address a situation where one is already working remotely with a US company, and they have to move to the US on a K1 visa.

In my case, I work as a Software Engineer for a tech startup based in Ohio. Been working with them for 18 months now.

Since I am not legally allowed to work in the US until I get the EAD Card, my questions are:

1. Should my fiancé list my job in the employment history on the form I-129F?
2. Do I have to quit my job before I move to the US given visa is approved?
3. Should I let my employer know I am moving to the US?

It went from "In Transit" when it was forwarded to the embassy from NVC, then to "Ready - Your case is ready for interview". But no updates since then.

We were given the white paper that explained the collection. NO 221G. I sent back the form 5535 within 2 hours after...have you seen this before?? Thank you for responding

Pls I received a mail yesterday from NVC as a result of inquiry I made to get my case number having stayed up to 3 months after uscis approval. They sent a mail saying the correct cas number LGS******but there’s no Invoice number there. Pls what am I expected to do this time thanks for your honest reply

Our petition was approved since September 8 and we have been expecting they would reach out to us in a month. It’s been two months already no response from them. Is there something I have to do? Can anyone provide a number I or my fiancé can call?

She visited me outside the country.
We started talking since Jan.
We met on the dating site and that’s after I had submitted for my B1/B2 application before I met her on the dating site although I was later denied.
We got along and she visited me outside the country.
My passport is expiring this Dec but I have already applied for another passport as I’m presently in Nigeria at the moment.
She wants us to submit our application because she won’t be free / chance after our step daughter gives birth.
Please can we submitted with my current passport details ( passport no#) since I will be going to get a new one before /whenever the date for interview comes up.

Please there is one grey area i forgot to mention. The 3 times she visited me, my passport status isn't showing I'm in the country when she visited. Will, that affect the process or do I have to tender any documents to show my presence in the country or they will judge by the stamps on my passport. Yes, apart from police report. Thanks.
