Vcojuro: how many candidates will u choose to pick lasu. If u consider lasu u will have have to consider their school fees. For the past three sessions there was an increase in their school fees to around 280k and above for medical student. Please correct me if I am wrong. I read in the news that they have reverse the the school fees. I don't know if it is in place. Second u will also have to consider incessant strike resulting from the fee hike, I don't know if it has been resolved. U will also have to consider internal strike among the lecturers. I heard that it has been resolved but for how long will the resolution last given that it is a state owned University and all state universities have tendencies for strike and fee hike. Imagine my self bringing out 250+k to study mbbs. Where by in UI I pay less than 60k. If ur mbbs was cheap people will want to come, there by increasing the competition and cuttoff for mbbs. That cuttoff u used to enter mbbs might even been increased by 40. Baba their are bad guys I mean bad guys that increase lasu mbbs by 40 markif not for the school fees. It has been noted that for the past 3 session the application for lasu has always been less than 8k. Infact last two sessions they were less than 6k. They had to make up for the deficit by selling post-UTME to non applicant of lasu.. Don't misquote me, igbos are always found in every part of Nigeria. But they are more in UI mbbs than lasu mbbs. I rest my case #i rep ui mbbs# Lasu tuition fee is now 25k since last year. Lasu is transparent in admission when it comes to merit, 72 candidates were admitted last year in the merit list and more this year(don't know the exact number), but after merit, anything else can happen. In fact, I learnt a prof. in Lasu college of medicine, Ikeja(Lasucom) said they don't want half baked students coming to the college. There are people who can testify here that Lasu is fair to them with their merit list. I am also included. |

zaragal: Thnx Joeself1 since lasu is not brining out a second batch...pls am frm the south south but wat if I pick lagos as my indigene and apply for lasu, since the cut off is lower for indigene and admission chances are higher plus school fee is cheaper cos cnt afford state fee...so will there be any precautions choosing lasu as my state of origin picking lasu and picking banking and finance
Btw how were u able to write both unilag and lasu's pume wen u are made to pick a choice of institution mind sharing hw u go abt it You will have to defend your claim as an indigene in the IIVC screening exercise. Failure to be able to do so may lead to the withdrawal of your admission. My advice is don't try it if you know you cannot defend your claim. |

FOLYKAZE: Reading a verse to buttress a point is not wrong. Pastors are quick to read from Malachi 3:10 when they want to discuss about tithe. They dont ask congregation to read the whole book of Malachi before they can understand the quoted Malachi 3:10 which speaks on tithe.
Same goes with Amos 3:6. It is quite evidenet that God caused evil things to happen. Afterall, he created them according to Isaiah 45:7. His creation are manifested with spoken words; evil and calamity is not exceptional here. He speaks evil and ordain it to happen.
Do I need to cite samples? You know this just trying to do some cover up I wonder when we are going to end it if we continue with the argument, so let me put a force stop to it. I know it will be difficult for you to accept anything aside what you believe, so let me leave you to your opinion. If you believe God is a doer of evil, fine! |

FOLYKAZE: The bible God is now resisted to Israel nation. Bravo. Lol. God is not for the Isreal nation alone, but for everyone. Because we are dealing with the book of amos here does not make him for Israelites only. |

FOLYKAZE: Did you read Amos 3:6?
If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it?
You can only try but cannot suceed coverin the truth I read not only Amos 3:6, I read it from vs 1 to vs 15. I will advise you to also read the whole chapter for better understanding. God was reffering to the Isrealites in that chapter in respect to their iniquities. He told the prophet(Amos) how they will be dealt with. That verse 6 you focused all your attention on, cannot make you understand until you read the whole chapter because the verse 6 was just claiming the responsibility of God for anything that will happen to them within that period which was as a result of their sins. So they brought trouble upon themselves because if they were right with God, he would not punish them. Do you get me now? |

FOLYKAZE: Stop lying bros.
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come? Lamentation 3:38
If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not the LORD done it? Amos 3:6
The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these. Isaiah 45:7 You are right about all the scriptures quoted. The thought of God for us is good not evil but the wickedness of man turned it upside down that's why Proverbs 12:21 says; There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief. That was what I meant when I said God is not responsible for our calamities. Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered-Proverbs 11:21. |

agarawu23: Happy Sunday everyone
We were taught to believe God is aware of anything that's happening to us but we aren't facing the 'word' when it comes to reality.
If for example a man shoot his fellow man with a gun and he died, should we blv his death is written on that particular day? Why then will the force arrest the killer if the death was from God
We can't stop using the word " he was killed by Mr A, she was killed by Mr B" why can't we say he or she was killed by God
Should we say God used them to end the life of the person they killed?
Why can't we accept that death is from God? Do we human have power to kill?
I am just confuse Yes, God is aware of all what is going on on earth but he is not responsible for our calamities. If you believe in the bible, it says " Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning-James 1:17". and also " For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you an expected end-Jeremiah 29:11". |
