I think you should have explained to him why you couldn't lend him the money, maybe it wouldn't have resulted into this if the reason was genuine. Though he took it too far but telling him your purpose is not too bad also.

There are lots of people here that do not know much about Lasu. You guys are criticizing the student union, very funny! Enter Lasu and you will understand that the Student Union Government of Lasu is a blessing. Do you think some people admitted now(even those on nairaland) would have dreamt of coming to Lasu if the fee still remain as minimum of #250k? Thanks to the SUG. And mind you, the SUG has nothing to do with the VC saga. You talked about protest, the only language the school understand is protest; there are many times when letters were written, and those letters ignored.
The problem of Lasu is not the SUG, come and see things yourself.
