Nope if there birds were 198 flying, it makes not sense them saying they are not up to a 100 yet. The correct answer is 66 1/2(x)+x+1=100 x+2x+2=200 3x = 200-2 3x = 198 X =198/3 X = 66 Hence its 66 birds flying not 198 birds flying To explain further logically, half of 66 is 33 plus the 1 is 34. 66+34=100
