2. We would have automatically won or drawn if those chances weren't missed. Football does not work that way.

Cos what I know is that 77 goals scored is enough for any team to make top 4 provided they have a good defence (and not because of big chances created or sort)

To put it into perspective

Havertz 3 seasons at Chelsea : 7, 8 4 (league goals scored)

Werner 2 seasons at Chelsea : 4, 6 (league goals scored)

Ziyech 3 seasons at Chelsea : 0, 4, 2 (league goals)

Pulisic 4 seasons at Chelsea : 1, 6, 4, 9 (league goals scored).


While attack of Jackson and Palmer

Jackson 1 season: 14 league goals scored

Palmer 1 season : 21 league goals scored



How the hell the First batch of front line attack made top 4 regularly is something I'm yet to even fathom

Meanwhile the defence is deteriorating with the dawn of every new day. Compare goals conceded from previous season to the just concluded one and tell me if our defence improved. Do the same comparison for attack and give me your result.
