Android17: Your lack of education will always betray you. What part of your post has to do with Guardiola?
Don't try to be stupid. He is still the manager right? So why would his 2023 title be in jeopardy if that timeline you presented means 2009-2018 = Guardiola
Before you waste anyone's time with your lies. The timeline with regards to City managers SPECIFICALLY mentions Roberto Mancini.
Use your brain you won't. Someone must spoon-feed you every time. Who was the manager of Man City in 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons, in which the charges covered? Now reconcile the lie you shamelessly told and highlighted below and the period in the list of charges I attached and underlined under your lie. A goat should piss in your mouth. Android17: The charges levied at City are from 2008-2015. Nothing to do with Pep or his time at City.

Why are you interested in Guardiola 115 charges but not interested in Ancelotti whose teams were found guilty of Calcicopoli match fixing, suffered point deduction and relegation I am interested because Fraudiola and Man city haven't been acquitted of the charges, so all their achievements may still end up as proceeds of fraud. nateevs: I just realised that you previously replied to my last message.
He didn't have better goal per minute ratio than Jackson. Please fetch the numbers. I am happy to be corrected.
Jackson even missed a full month with the squad from AFCON. He would have scored more.
The problem is you misunderstand the whole premise of the debate. It comes down to two important factors.
1. No one is saying that Jackson is better than Vlahovic. At least, not at this point. But statistically, at this moment, no one can tell me that Vlahovic is better than Jackson. Jackson plays is a pacier league, Vlahovic does not. While Vlahovic is trying to adjust to the pace, Jackson already registered 13, and even missing a ton of chances.
2. In terms of value for money, based on last year's figures, Jackson was significantly the better buy. Jackson cost £30m and produced 13 non-penalty goals. Vlahovic would have cost nearly £90m. If he's not scoring 39 goals by comparison per season, then it's wasted money.
It does not matter what Juve would or would not do. I was here in Drogba's first 2 seasons. You should see the abuse. Juve would not have bought Drogba off his first season performance. You are hereby corrected sir. Statistically and even by eye test, Vlahovic is better than Jackson. It shouldn't even be up for discussion.

BlueAngel444: ya sir airmark which available CF fits Enzo Maresca style of play Many teams will play low block against us as we will definitely possess the ball more. A strong, tricky finisher, who will not be losing possessions and useless in tight spaces is needed. We must not play 1000 passes and no goal against teams. |

nateevs: This is intellectually dishonest. None of you were talking about these names this time last year. You are calling these guys upgrades on Jackson based on the season just passed. Before then, all these guys were averaging around the same numbers as Jackson per season.
You always mentioned who we should have got and it was Vlahovic. We see now know that Jackson out did Vlahovic in terms of goals per min, and overall conversion rate. So that argument died.
Also, you didn't pay attention to the question. It was who is/were available at the time that would have outdone Jackson, specifically "based on the circumstance".
The truth of the circumstance is that for the strategy employed by the club, £32m over an eight year contract, Jackson has been the best investment in No 9 in years by numbers. That's just an empirical fact. It's not opinion.
The other options you giving were not feasible at the time. Especially not to a 28-year-old Guirassy. It would have been impossible investment for an 8- year contract. You asked of the alternatives' goals this past season, and I mentioned Gyokeres and other upgrades. It was an answer to your question and if you had wanted strikers before last season, your questiom should have been their goals two seasons ago and not this last season. You were the one that goofed there. Be that as it may, good that you confirmed that I preferred Vlahovic to Jackson, and it's terrible that you still think Jackson is better than Vlahovic. That's a massive letdown from an OG like you. Even if we use their Serie A and Epl league goals to judge, please tell me how Jackson had a better goal per min, than Vlahovic? I am waiting. Juventus will not be stupid to swap Jackson for Vlahovic, even with a gun to their club's president's head. |

KingAzubuike: There are rarely goal poachers in football these days. Jackson would have fitted well playing just beside a goal poacher. Apart from scoring , he does everything so well in an elite way, We need a finisher, we don't need him beside a goal poacher (waste of space), as we already have efficient supporting cast to provide premium supplies to our top striker. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 1:25pm On May 26, 2024 |
nateevs: Let's not postulate on hypothesis. Tell me, which specific available striker would you have in place of Jackson, and how many goals they have scored last season? I don't know how this is important, when the strikers didn't play in a Chelsea team with numerous big chances created last season, for accurate conclusion. Anyways Gyokeres, Dovbyk and even Guirassy are all upgrades to Jackson. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 12:29pm On May 26, 2024 |
nateevs: You have not answered the question yet. Remove Jackson, put in your striker of choice. Tell us, how many goals would said striker have scored this part season with the same set of circumstances. I told you earlier that I am sure a better finisher would have scored 25+ goals, with those begging chances missed. The number of goals that he should have scored, is not even as painful as those big misses that would have fetched us maximum points if converted.

Even a dumb coach like Ten Haag before securing Europa ticket yesterday, said he would buy another striker for next season. We should not rely on other club's misfortune before we achieve our goals next season. Jackson is not a reliable striker and now that I have even seen his big misses at Villarreal, he should be loaned out to go and develop the skills in front of goal. But, we have idiots making decisions for the team now. https://i.imgflip.com/88wu2n.gif |
