A mannerless obidient insulting a public official, this folks ought to be grateful ffs.
That guy should have called the NEMA boss, the liar, if truely Abike got the message from him. There's a possibility of the DG being the liar here.

Some Nigerian youths are dumb and ill-mannered.

In all sincerity Sterling football IQ only qualifies him to be playing for mid-club. Every technique that should have enabled him to do his footballing job better he is too poor at it. He can only survive in Chelsea only if the other 10 players are exceptional anything other than this, his poor footballing abilities will be glaring like the camel toe of a japanese pornster.
Lordfalcao believes the Jamaican has performed well at Chelsea because of his numbers years ago at Etihad. 😏

I said the Nigerian government has not successfully used their influence to upturn the fate of a Nigerian guilty of drug trafficking, that's different from what you posted. What they're telling them to do is those that might be innocent, use your influence to look into their case, it's easier to do the latter than the former.
Who are those innocent ones that you are really sure are innocent, that Nigeria have still not checked their cases?

Well, nobody is saying Nigerians shouldn't complain to their leaders, but do it responsibly and not like that idiot that attacked Abike personally on her page.

The point stands, however little the number of innocent persons might be, the response to calls for the government to intercede on their behalf shouldn't be profiling of the entire Nigerian population in those countries.

The Nigerians that commit crimes abroad have always been on their own, there's no case of the Nigerian government using their influence to upturn the fate of a Nigerian that was guilty of a crime abroad. The point being made was never about those that were guilty.
Then why would the idiot reply Abike's tweet irresponsibly like a child from a broken home?

Government have been stepping into cases of drug pushers convicted abroad since, it's high time we told our brothers to stop illegalities.

If you move with bad gangs abroad, you are on your own.

what am saying in essence is that you don't have the moral right to call for arrest or abandonment of anyone perpetrating crime or fraud in anyway

Non of any corn 🌽 artists or bat 🦇 supporter has that moral right..

Leave the world as it is and let people do their job and those who wants to do crime do it... Everyone knows consequences of his actions

Don't just be here blabbing how you want international diasporans crime perpetrators abandoned in cell and what not..

Most of them do get out through back dorr by the way

If you re not into crime, leave those that are into it to be doing it jejely, and also let the anti crime who is on payroll to also do their thing jejely

Make all man dey do them thing jejely
How you take be my in-law sef? 😄

Where did I say I knew the percentage of guilty ones?
.
You asserted that a lot of innocent Nigerians got lumped in with few guilty ones. I will like to know how you got this info.

Theflint1:
Where did I say I knew the percentage of guilty ones?

Nobody was making a case for guilty person's, people were saying there are several person's in prison in those countries who might not have committed the crimes they were accused of, and she should use her position to look into the cases. Her responding by reinforcing the sort of profiling that would have the innocent ones lumped with the guilty ones was why she was slammed...and rightly so.

Abike Dabiri is an e-nuisance, better she focuses on e-brawls and as$licking just like FFk and Bayo Onanuga do rather than posturing as a diplomat.
Abike's reply, was to that rabid Obidient that deserved the reply and for optics, it was good for those Nigerians perpetrating or about to perpetrate crimes abroad, that they are on their own.

It's high time you Obidients learned how to communicate in a civil way.

Once again let anyone point the bad thing in Abikes initial comment that led to the rude response
I don't know how they teach their wards, morals at home, if they could avoid blaming an ill-mannered person in the public.

Theflint1:
A lot of innocents get lumped in with the few guilty ones, and if I remember correctly, on that day the conversation was actually about the number of "innocent" Nigerians in prison in some of these countries, and how the government should look into the cases so they're not imprisoned unjustly.

Her responding to the above by making the issue about criminals and crimes being committed throws those who are innocent under the bus. A fair number of Nigerians get imprisoned unjustly abroad, especially in these Asian countries...nobody is asking for drug dealers and scammers to be let off the hook when caught, and I don't think Nigeria has ever successfully intervened in getting a Nigerian that actually committed a crime abroad off the hook.

And if Abike wants to play the role of snitch, she should join a law enforcement agency, and not an agency who's core responsibilities are mediation, PR and diplomacy.
How did you get to know the percentage of the guilty ones?

Anyways, she responded to a disrespectful Obidient that attacked her person, calling her names and she used the opportunity to inform that there's little she could do when those involved were into crimes.

The message of, "if you do the crime, you will do the time", aggressively and effectively passed.

The same thing this group did, when GRV was exposed to have taken disrespectful shots at his Yoruba tribe. The pattern is obvious.

If you think Abike who is a public servant and who gets paid from our taxes especially in that position where she's meant to launder our image has a right to attack a citizen in such manner coz she didn't like how she was spoken to then truly we are fvcked.
We've complained about Abike for years now.
Citizens do not trust the government, you sef that is in a position as sensitive as that will be forming voltron for your citizens for the whole world to see.

The governor has his flaws but he doesn't joke with issues of security. Investors are more than welcome.
I understand but I think this guy below was right.

DissTroy:
And safety or peacefulness is a relative term in the Nigerian context.

Rivers is RELATIVELY safe and peaceful when compared to many Northern states (NE particularly). I agree.

It also has a prevalent gang culture. Even the permanent residents can't deny this. Pray tell, where has (street) gang culture never been proportional to violence? None. The rise of gangs and the prevalance nonetheless follows a trajectory of violence.

We've come to accept anything but the optimum as peace and safety.
It's the same way some Nigerians defend our leaders when the foreign media term them corrupt despots. We accuse them of prejudice as against focusing on the issue.

Let the issue of 'agbero' in Lagos come up again, then watch these same defensive folks come out with their lexical pitchforks.

The only way we are going to get better is tell ourselves the truth.
