America thrives on transparency and accountability..that's why they wd rather watch a live program where their public official wd give reasons why certain actions have been taken in d course of discharging d duties for which they were appointed,and therefore become more enlightened about issues bothering them, both local and foreign, than to sit down and watch a live interview of a president of another nation who wouldn't be bothered about transparency to declare his assets publicly.
