Dizzybe45:
Tecno is a known and very popular brand in Nigeria with good and affordable smartphones u would love to use. Their best being the phantom x2 pro and the camon 17 pro which i still lovr till today. But lets talk spark 10 pro

Display
It has a big display of 6.8 inches display backed by an amoled display which is quite big and effective for gamers.

Performance
Its quite okay in performance with 8gb of ram which is good and powerful most especially for gamers. With a helio g88 processor which is manageable for gamers but i would have gone for the helio g95 but tecno is tecno.

Camera
Its good thats all u need to know.

Battery
It comes with a 5000amh battery which is good for our daily usage. I dont know for fast charging.

So is it worth your time i say its up to you. With such useful information make your pick

how much did you get it

MrEverest:
Lol, I pity those still taking BBC serious. This useless establishment is not a media house but rather a propaganda machinery of the British government. Of all the serious issues bedeviling Nigeria they saw non to conduct investigation on. Hundreds are literally being slaughtered in middle belt but they never sent a reporter talk more of investigation. Election was blatantly rigged but BBC never did investigative journalism. What about #endsars? No!

However, this pathetic establishment had time to investigate late TB Joshua. Now, they're saying trash again that isn't even factual just to promote their evil interests.

Spit!
If the election wasn't rigged, who would have won?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: JOBLESSNESS - Giving Up On Tech - Whats Your Take This 2024 by Ajibade123(m): 1:49pm On Jan 08

I am a Frontend Developer .. let me call myself intermediate however, i haven't had any full time role before . The only thing I have done is an internship and throughout the internship I was Opportuned to get some on the job training.

The journey hasn't been easy so far.. Looking back at everything i have invested well close to 500 k on this web dev stuff, yet i haven't gotten a job yet

To me it seems like this tech of a thing is just another Gold rush that seem to go nowhere. The stuff is to me seems more like luck...and i am getting tired of the whole thing all together

You will see guys posting tech as a pathway to wealth but is it really...

I was doing marketing jejely before jumping into Tech.. Now i'm soo soo jobless
I have submitted countless applications, yet no evidence.. Most won't even reply, and some will respectfully send a rejection.

I don't know if i should pivot to another thing or give up altogether... Cause this stuff isn't bringing money, and someone has to sort out oneself else one will end up marrying at 35..

What do you guys think about this. Are you earning any money off front-end... Pls be realistic...

If you are, How do you do it, If you aren't how are you juggling expenses

In case you want to know what skill level I fall into, here is my portfolio:https://yusuff-portfolio.netlify.app/#Work

What tech did you use for the animation?

Your portfolio is beautiful. I will advise you find a specific niche and learn It deep down. Look at things like Salesforce marketing cloud, servicenow, splunk or sap. There's much more. It will still be harder to get a job from Nigeria with any of this but your odds are better than with just frontend and the knowledge applies to them

Politics / Re: Allegations Of Tribalism Against Me & Nairaland by Ajibade123(m): 10:48am On Dec 30, 2023
Seun:
I would like to address the allegations on Twitter about tribalism on Nairaland or that I am some kind of tribalist, because I was told that not addressing them means that they are true.

The more extreme variants of that claim are being pushed primarily by south-eastern tribalists who feel that south-western tribalists have the upper hand on Nairaland in their battles with each other.

Whenever they are banned after breaking rule 2 of Nairaland, they will go back to Twitter to lament about how Nairaland is against their tribe and how I'm personally working against them.

I urge you to disregard any accusation against me or against Nairaland if the accusers cannot prevent hard evidence to support their claims. These people make things up, and people just believe them.

For avoidance of doubt, I have always been a supporter and admirer of south-eastern people. I will never have any tribalistic bone in my body. I am a human who views people as humans first.

The micro-kernel of truth in the mountain of lies is that Nairaland is under-staffed. The staff I have do not moderate as efficiently as I want them to. They also struggle with following my instructions.

So if you go to Nairaland looking for tribalism, you will find it in certain areas, just as you will if you search Twitter for tribalism, because of people whose main business online is tribal trolling.

However, I want Nairaland to be better than Twitter. I want to improve the consistency of moderation on Nairaland. For this reason, I am in the process of recruiting more people to help.
Hi we had a discussion the other time on Twitter
I am still open to being a moderator

Firstly, from your link, you deployed the project on GitHub. I'll advice you host it on another mainstream platform. It doesn't have to be paid. This is to avoid bias on your ability to host.

Secondly, as a beginner, I'll advice you have your close friends give constructive feedback to your work(that's where you need a mentor). Let's assume you're a client and you need a website, no lie, will you hire a developer with this kind of portfolio? cheesy. It's a good start, but the interface is poor. I'll rate it 4/10. You most likely do not have an eye for design. Get ready made design on sites like Behance or frontend mentor, and model your design. When you get use to seeing good designs, you'll adapt.

Thirdly, I'll give you a solid advice. The best way to get into software development in Nigeria presently if you intend to do back end and you're a recent graduate is to learn C#. That's because barrier of entry into banks is not that difficult. But you hardly see beginners taking this shot.

Lastly, Network, Network and Network. The market is not smiling. You need to be spoken for
Aside banks and Nigeria. Is C# good internationally

Johnchrix:
I don't believe it's true. There is no one "race" that is responsible for the success or failure of humanity as a whole. All human beings, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or skin color, have the potential to contribute to the advancement of our species. We should celebrate and appreciate the diversity of our world, rather than pitting one group against another. When we work together towards common goals, we can accomplish amazing things.
in fairness this is true but in reality it not always like that. Take Nigeria for example you as a person that want to build Nigeria will you rather build in southerner Nigeria or in northerner Nigeria where you can be burnt to death if you misspelt Mohammed's name?
