kandiikane: Oh apart from the forehead it is very common but just like many ethnicities you have a certain look which distinguishes you from everyone.
Where do you think this woman is from?

well good for you. Am glad, cause all women need a man. Bon appetite

Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 2:14am On Nov 14, 2013
kandiikane: Your features aren't unique though. It is very common. Well except the forehead.
our features along with our forehead is unique for a people with our skin color, but they are common in the cushitic people who live in Somalia, Ethiopia, Eritrea. But you don't see people with our features, body type, skin color except us.

attack of the foreheads. grin aka female somali soldiers.

Culture › Re: Black girl says Somalis & Ethiopians Are Beautiful Because Of their Features by Ajuran(op): 2:13am On Nov 14, 2013
LUDE: I don't wanna say anything bad about the little girl. Those girls r not anything special, typical Somali look. They're ok.
I guess your one of those people who finds thick lips, and wide nose attractive, which i can respect.
Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 2:09am On Nov 14, 2013
kandiikane: Lol that is because you are indians. No, but as I've said majority of your culture was imported.
In india, we got a lot in common with the drividians who are the brown skin ones.

A lot of our culture is also ancient, like or language. But i think we gave indians a lot of things or they got it from us, cause somalis are sea faring people.

This is why you see ethiopian culture is boring compared to Somali culture, cause of our trade with Persians, Arabs, Indians, Asians.

We are not indian, as indian is just a recent country that has many different ethnic group. While Somalis are very old people, you can tell just by look at our faces. We look very noble, and have distinct and unique features and culture.

Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 2:00am On Nov 14, 2013
kandiikane: Henna was brought to somalia.

It is actually very common where I am from.
i don't know if it was brought, but i know we have been using it for a long time.

But also i think the indians got a lot of things from us, as only southern indians who are brown skin share some of customs and culture, and food.
Culture › Re: Black girl says Somalis & Ethiopians Are Beautiful Because Of their Features by Ajuran(op): 1:58am On Nov 14, 2013
LUDE: She's just not attractive, looks scary. I don't know how to explain that to you. Big lips on women is sexy. I don't think i understand where you going with this
lol, i understand. Some people find certain features attractive. How does she look scary? Are you saying somali features are scary.

Cause the whole thread is about how blacks think our features are happy, and how some blacks thing thats self hate, because our features

are are more eurocentric.

Look at these other somali girls, i think their pretty, but of course you must think big nose and lips are beautiful. i can't blame you, its natural to
lik how you look.

KidStranglehold: Again this was because I deflated your argument. lol...Now you admitted it was just a Tsunami map. Why not just post a regular map? Or even Indian Ocean trade map to prove your point?
cause that was the only map that was under 200kb that i can use.

i thought it would be obvious with the epicenter of the map coming from indonesia.

Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:49am On Nov 14, 2013
KidStranglehold: Um....Maybe your could have hinted that or maybe your were just flat out lying because I found a loop hole in your claims. smiley

I mean whats the point of showing how close East African countries are to Asiahuh

Also Henna existed in Ancient Egypt before Asia...So I read.
because a lot of the things in somalia like the henna, sarong, jewelry, sambuusa, are the same as in india and maldives.

i can get you a map of where i got that map, with a link, check it out yourself

its on wikipedia, here the link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Indian_Ocean_earthquake_and_tsunami

lol at the idea of south africans, tanzanians using henna. lmao

Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:44am On Nov 14, 2013
KidStranglehold: @somalia9/Ajuran

You just deflated your own argument with that map...

You said Henna was not practiced by Bantus at all, but your shows Henna being in Bantu majority countries like Kenya, Tanzanian and South Africa.
what an idiot, that map is the tsunami from 2004, i just used it to show how close countries in east africa are to asia.

can't you see the indonesian circles imitating from where the tsunami happened.

I never seen kenyans use henna, even though their is a large indian population in kenya.

But in somalia henna is part of the culture, the men use it to make their hair orange, cause religion says you can make yourself young by dying your hair its natural color.

thats why you see somali men with orange hair. and the women use it on their body.
Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:37am On Nov 14, 2013
Well it looks like Henna is new as you don't really see it. But in Somali culture its everywhere especially during weddings. But in Ethiopia they don't have Henna, in Kenya the bantus don't have it. Weird how somethings skip certain people. But Khat is used in Somalia, Kenya (somalis use it in kenya), and Southern Arabia. The Sarong is used in Somalia, India, Indonesia. The head jewelry for weddings is used in Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, India.

so a lot of things get transmitted during trade.

Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:31am On Nov 14, 2013
KidStranglehold: Henna is not limited to Somalia. Its also practiced in West Africa by West African women.

I actually think Henna looks beautiful on women. Much better than scarification or even tattoos...

@onila

LMAO!!! grin
fulanis wear but i doubt bantus, cause kenyans don't have henna, Somalis, southern Arabs, Indians are the people who mostly use henna.

I doubt a zulu, or non fulani west african would know what henna is. and even in fulani, its a new thing, In somalia henna has been used for hundreds of years during weddings.
Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:20am On Nov 14, 2013
I think its better to get Henna like somalis do, cause it will go away every few weeks and you can reapply it. Instead of having the same thing
on your body for the rest of your life.

Only women wear henna in somali culture, and they put on henna during special occasions like during weddings. Like in this somali wedding below.
shut up. you are a beast yourself.
Am not A beast, I am a Somali. Say it after me, Somali.

In somalia we have Henna, its a tattoo, but its temporary and fades away in a couple of weeks.

This Somali police woman has Henna.
why cant people just mind their business and let us do what we want to do?

you dont see those kids complaining.
EVEN i know you are a pan african, tribal, tribal god worshipping man. So your opinion doesn't count for much. I hope this barbaric act stops.
Many negroids still do backward things like tribal tattoos and lip plates. I am glad white people came to africa, as if they didn't more of them
would be walking around with a 20pound lip plate in their mouth.
Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:07am On Nov 14, 2013
Pagan i want to see your tribal tattoos. You are a tribal man, yes? I want to see. You must show me.
Culture › Re: The Pain And Toture Behind The Dinka Tribe of Sudan Scars by Ajuran: 1:02am On Nov 14, 2013
Ajuran: Am glad Cushitic people don't wear the lip plates and do the scarring and walk around naked. hope this doesn't get censored.
damn straight

yousuf12: That's right, there is nothing wrong with being laangaab.

You hate Hawiya people too?
The first president of Somalia was Hawiya - Aden Cade.

Interesting didn't know. I don't hate hawiye, i just think sometime mayaaqaanaan sidaa waax looxukomo

LUDE: She looks scary to me.
This is a picture of her when she was younger.

Why do you think she's scary? is it because she doesn't have big nose, and big lips?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by Ajuran: 12:51am On Nov 14, 2013
yousuf12: Hawiya
I didn't know hawiye were capable of governing? Mashallah.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by Ajuran: 12:50am On Nov 14, 2013
yousuf12: There is a lot you don't know about and your fake superiority complex is making is difficult for you to learn.

Calling me a laangaab won't provoke me into telling you my clan. That sshhit doesn't work on me.
nothing wrong with being laangaab, we are all somali. You are pure bred Somali, as far as am concerned, i just never heard of the clan Ajuran.
I know they are not Hawiye. And i definitely know they are not Darod, so i assumed you were laangaab. But aniga I LOVE SOMALIA, and support
GREATER SOMALIA, so all laangaabs are welcome, as long as they are SOMALI.

KidStranglehold: Not only that I have a bunch of tattoos...

1. Getting a tattoo is not as painful as scarring.
2. Kids under 18 are not allowed to even get tattoos, where as those Dinka kids are forced to get scarification.
3. More people get tattoos than Scarification even since ancient times.
why you replying to me? are you kandikane? angry
Foreign Affairs › Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by Ajuran: 12:47am On Nov 14, 2013
yousuf please join your somali brother in this struggle to take over Nairaland. Is ajuran Darod?

Fulaman198: You can make jokes, but try not to make jokes that are offensive to any ethnic group or person. This often creates conflict
Okay fula, am sorry Kidstranglehod, i didn't mean to suggest you have virus, and if you do i hope you beat it, we need more africans alive so they can
appreciate the beauty of the cushitic race.

kandikane are you a female? what country are you from?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by Ajuran: 12:42am On Nov 14, 2013
yousuf12: @KidStranglehold I'll look up on that mate. I don't know if it's true but I was told that Somalis ruled Socotra along with many other Islands in the Indian Ocean. The former Somali dictator Siad Barre wanted to reclaim the islands but the civil war broke out.
I don't know much about the Mali Empire and I've literally copied and pasted from other websites so some of the things mentioned may be a tad bit inaccurate.

@Ajuran waxa ku feecan ina shaqo yeelatid. I think it is the other way around, you are obsessed with them. grin
I mentioned my clan the day you tried to claim it lol.
I wasn't claiming your clan. I used the name Ajuran because it was a Somali sultanate just like the many others. If this name was banned, i would use another, and i have used over 20 other names since coming on this site. So plz sit down, i never heard of a clan named Ajuran till you told me.
But its good to see a laangaab. grin
Foreign Affairs › Re: Deadliest Black/African Warriors!!!! by Ajuran: 12:40am On Nov 14, 2013
Fulaman198: Enough Ayanle, remember what I said about professionalism. He has every right to hear about Somali history.
But Fula, come on bro. His creeping me out with his obsession sad
