NRI PRIEST: @AK47mann,what do you know about the history and culture of the NRI KINGDOM as it relates to the Idemmili, Onitsha and the Delta north Igbos. . . If you know Onitsha man very well you figure the have low self esteem!!! They call fellow Igbos "nwa onye Igbo" out of mockery, yet the culture, life style, land and their beautiful attire originated from NRI. . .I wonder why they dropped the BENIN attire and the YORUBA-BENIN demonic OGBONI fraternity and borrowed the ever ellegant Igbo tradition!! Ifele mewuo onye Onicha obuna silu na fa bu ndi bini!! I WAS JUST BEING SARCASTIC MY BRO!! am tired of some onitsha indigence claiming they came from bini kingdom, that's why i hail him, i grew up with them, not all of them are like that as you said just those that got complex issues ask them were in benin they originally came from, they don't no isn't that amazing |

9ja voice: why is only northerners are canvasin for one nigeria?
its clear that they have uterio motive for that.
we are not interested anymore in one nigeria nonsense, as peace loving people they claim to be, why not accept that peacefuly, and let go and wait for Allah's help.
if everybody are not happy living together with you, its better for you to move away from them and give peace a chance.
why are the north afraid of living in their seperate country? WORD |

Dede1: The federal government has monopoly on ports (air and sea), interstate roads and somewhat electricity. It has colossally failed in such endeavors. In addition, federal and state governments are responsible for water resources and electricity both have failed too. Any attempt to engage in activities enabling economic vitality of the entire region without good REW-Road, Electricity and Water shall amount to practical joke.
When I look at the so-called Port Harcourt International airport, I feel the ugly nature of marginalization of certain section of the country from the center. It is even worst to perceive certain ethnicities from this section of the country had silly thought the neglect of the region was directed exclusively to their neighbor. I guess stupidity can not be cured. well how else can one put it very articulated |

As we celebrate this icon. , may we make out time to ask ourselves, "Who is the Ojukwu of our present era". A man who will inspite of his few mistakes, make many more great things for Ndigbo. A man who will show us the tears in our eyes and wipe such with his only handkerchief. A man who will introduce himself as an Igbo man and we look into his eyes and see that spirit of Igboism in it, Congrats, Dim Gburugburu, We love u, !! What was considered a mistake by feeble minded has today become a testimony of our resolved determination to raise our heads above water level. .no matter how hard we are pressed down. There is none like u, but today we seek to find another look like u, |

afam4eva: Majority of people in Onitsha don't live in those building with rusty roofs. I think that's like the cultural part of the city. Onitsha is as modern as they come. Though with dirt all over.
@POST I love the offala festival. It has recieved international popularity that the Jackson brother attended the even last year or last two years. can't remember now. you are right one of the Jackson brothers came i think about two years ago i have witnessed obi ofala so many times even when i was small |

ndu_chucks: biko, who financed this ceremony? The Ofala Festival is an annual celebration of the cultural values and heritage of the Onitsha people, which reflects the bond between them and the celebration of a renewed hope for peace and prosperity in Onitsha Kingdom. The Ofala Festival is a unique, colourful tradition that celebrates coronation anniversaries of the kings and commemorates important events in order to create life-giving stories, hope, and a sense of purpose. It is the biggest traditional festival in the south east. It marks the climax of new yam celebrations in Igbo land. The event is usually celebrated in the second week of October. It is also an event that offers the poor, in some parts of Igbo land, the opportunity of making the highest money in the year. |
