Ebonyi govt should allow their mineral resources to be exploit by people who are willing to invest heavily in their state, that old man elechi is very slow or should i say too old to govern a local govt. Ibeto could have invested heavily in nkalagu cement and create many jobs and more income for them but short sighted elechi refused.. ![]() |
The Sallah started on a sour note for three villages in Adamawa State, as Boko Haram attacked and killed about 70 residents in Michika Local Government Area in a renewed attack. The Islamic insurgent group also destroyed their houses and farmlands. Among the villages attacked is Kuborshosho, the village of former governor of the state and Minister Youths Development, Mr. Boni Haruna, who lost close relations, one of whom was a 99-year-old man, who was slaughtered by the dreaded group. The other villages they attacked are Kubi, Garta and others, were still under attack as at the time of filing this report. Saturday Sun authoritatively gathered that many houses were razed, including the family house of former Governor Haruna. According to report, four of the former minister’s uncles, aged aunties, nieces and their siblings narrowly escaped death by the whiskers as good Nigerians evacuated them from the war-torn zones of Michika and its environs to Yola, the state capital. According to sources, the villages were attacked on Thursday night through Friday, and the insurgents went further to attack those who escaped to the mountains. As at time of filling this reports, sympathisers, who had gathered at the residence of the minister, condemned the attack and appealed to the Federal Government to expedite action towards stopping the evil activities of the Islamic sect. Farmlands ready for harvest were destroyed, while shops and warehouses belonging to the residents, were burgled and precious items carted away be the insurgents. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=84584 |

Abagwaro and rochas are the same people that can sell alaigbos at any point of time, ask him to prove to us and let see if any hausa governors both present and past, where in nigerian history any of them build any church for christians living in their respective states. Rochas broke that record in Imo state that have less than 2% Muslims, does that mean rochas okorocha cannot use that funds and build a better project than building mosques that made absolutely no sense to imolites ![]() |

warrior01 Let me remind you that chuks and his man opanka my friend too build 200 thousand shops and sold it for N2 million each when he was local govt chairman ![]() |
oneeast3: That was then! There is now a consultant contracted by the government to collect tax in the state in conjunction with State Internal Revenue Board. Lest I forget Obiano is a chartered accountant so he know how best to go about it. And I noticed recently that our IGR has started growing so fast in the past few months..You make sense, that is why i didn't complain when peter obi suspended local govt election in anambra state. Obiano is not going to fail anambra state seeing is believing and i believe in him ![]() |
warrior01: Nwanne, abeg, take am easy with that your 1 million shops. We are talking of only main market hereose and ojanja main market contain how many shops in numbers? ![]() |
oneeast3: That is the same point am making. Those guys there are all multimillionaire importers who needs water-tight security for their investments and that is why they all welcome the idea of the service charge. Even my cousin at Emeka Offor plaza told me that they like it..Am nt disputing that,i can remember vividly when chuks was local govt chairman onitsha north, because i knew him very well.I use to visit him at his office back then,i saw how much tax they collect from main market alone that money can fix the whole onistha roads without state govt intervention.Behind his office table you will see were all the transactions was written in a black board and am talking about N200M a week,if you can remember chucks very well he was a big spender, the tax collectors deposit their collections at chucks office, you will see too many ghana must go bags full of money and this is were chucks deep his hands and spend money as he wishes he was a big spender specially on women due to his love for women.Bought houses inside and outside nigeria, talk abt corruption at is peak . Hope the people from white house main-market will not do worst than him ![]() |
oneeast3: Good and quality services comes with a price. OMM is an international and biggest market in West Africa, I support the N200 service charge, that way it will ensure prompt maintenance of the entire facility. Remember apart from the CCTVs there are also control rooms where there are big screens for 24hrs monitoring and staff attached to it. All these comes with a price. The amount is not much because when we consider that most of the businessmen at the Onitsha Main Market are almost importers who value security and all. It is a welcome development..Do you realize that there are over a million shops/warehouses in main market alone,so N200 per shop that will be N200M,$1.6M, a month.Traders will not mind paying for it as long as they are getting what they are paying for there will be no wahala ![]() |
Adekunle that died like a gutter rat smelly adekunle ![]() |
OdenigboAroli: "He further informed informed the traders that Obiano has agreed to visit the market on Thursday to commission both the CCTV and solar lighting projects, adding that apart from these two gigantic projects, Obiano had already replaced the obsolete fire-fighting equipment in the market with new one and at the same time, promised to construct modern toilet facilities for the traders and expand the market infrastructures in such a way that trading activities would be taking place day and night, as obtained in Dubai, China and other developed countries"You can say that again ![]() |
[b]Anambra State may soon start refining petroleum products in the next nine months, the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has said. The governor, who stated this during an interactive session with journalists on Wednesday night said that since he had adopted development of the oil and gas sector as one of the cardinal pillars of his administration, he would work hard to ensure that in the next nine months, Orient Petroleum would begin to refine petroleum deposits in the state. He said, “for now, Orient Petroleum is the only company handling that, but we are stepping in to ensure that they start refining petroleum products in the nine months time. “When we do this, we are sure that more oil and gas based industries will follow and jobs will be provided”. Obiano said he was going to pursue aggressively an increase in the internal revenue of the state, and that he had appointed an expert in the person of Mr Okey Muoka as his special adviser on internal revenue. The governor also disclosed that he had appointed the son of the late leader of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Jnr as the sole administrator of Nnewi North Local Government Area. OdenigboAroli: Thats great, talking about the Anaedo's. They always see investments in their land as a thing of pride. Emeka Offor is just a money miss road...That guy could be the richest Nigerian if he want. You are right about emeka offor because he has so much control on nigerian institutes of purchasing and supplies ![]() |
Surplus90: here in onitsha...its good news everyday from obiano...everybody loves him...ndi anambra its really time to come homeTime to start coming home na Anambra adi go mma ![]() |
OdenigboAroli: I tell you, nwanne. They are gradually coming home to invest.Ifeanyi uba invested heavily in onitsha and nnewi, ya na ibeto nwere factories di iche iche na nnewi, ibeto main office factory/complex base in nnewi later spread from there to other states in nigeria, though his companies employ more than 3 thousand people in Anambra . Emeka offor invested mostly in oil&gas and agriculture. Andy uba i cant tell much about him ![]() |
OdenigboAroli: Nwanne, uche yi di na ife ana eme....Omanbala bu Okasi Akasi!Okwu di ya nwanne, anyi ga na aga na iru no going back ![]() |
OdenigboAroli: Haha, maybe. But lets feed ourselves first before we start thinking about others. We are doing that already this is why we have the lowest unemployment in nigeria ![]() |
