No offence meant and I sincerely hope you don't take this the wrong way. You have made some valid points about christianity (and not Christ Embassy) which I agree with, but your persistent arguing and combativeness on this thread is seriously eroding what would have been a good message. Live and let live you are in danger of hurting your own reputation as a christian by the words you speak or rather write in this case.

Secondly, there was too much emphasis in one of your post on my pastor this, my pastor that, my pastor, my pastor, my pastor where is the place of Christ and the Blessed Trinity as a whole in all of this? Frankly I get wary of folks who go on and on about their pastors. What their pastor said, what he did or didn't do.

Christianity was never about pastors, bishops, or clergy men as a whole AND IT WILL NEVER BE. It is about one person and one person alone - Jesus Christ. So it would have been nice to hear about what your bible says or teaches you rather than your pastor. Pastor Chris may teach the undiluted word of God like you say BUT are you seeking to hear from God yourself or to know him personally through His word?

Christ died so that all men and people every where could personally approach God and communicate with him & have fellowship with him the era of having a relationship with God through 3rd parties (like it was in Moses' time & Elijah's) is gone . So please let there be less talk of and less emphasis on our pastors with more emphasis on Christ and His word and on reconciling men to Christ.

We are Christ's ambassadors i.e Christ's representatives and we ought to represent him well my bible taught me this valuable lesson and not any pastor. Please do not get me wrong some of these preachers mean well but we have a responsibility as xtians to discover God for ourselves and by ourselves through the diligent studying of his word and application.

But what u fail to understand is that without Jesus, my pastor doesnt exist in as much as he is solely and completely commited to God's work, therefore talking about him is just like talking abt Jesus becus like u said we are Christ representatives here on earth!

Whenenevr d name "Pastor" is mentioned... What comes to d mind immediately is " a man of God".... D person is consciously or unconsiously linked with God becus of his life which is singled out for God and the gospel. So my dear, do not think that it is a misplaced priority when we make emphasis on our pastor, Jesus is certainly in d picture becus as i said without him, there is no pastor!

If u read Ephesains and philipians, u will understand that the people of Ephesus and Philipi were always talking abt Paul as their prophet! They were even living by his teachings becus they had a strong conviction that he was a man of God! They even made him a standard in their lives and emulated his lifestyle and strategies in life!

Even most of the instructions and command that we live by today were given by Paul and not Jesus directly, some churches dont permit women to keep their head uncovered becus paul admonished d women of Ephesus to always cover their heads in d house of God.

D only people condemned for ths act are those who believe in their pastors but NOT in Jesus like some churches.

What u are saying here in a related illustration Is like saying that its wrong for us to always talk about Jesus without mentioning God.... Whereas in actuality--- the father and the son are one! In same vein, we are also one with Jesus.... The bible declares that we are joint-heirs with Christ----- it says " as he is, so are we in ths world!

Finally, in another illustration! Its just like always projecting and talking about ur class teacher and painting him in a good light, does that in anyway make d principal or proprietor less significant? Is it not rather a credit and a dignifying thing that the principal has produced such a brilliant teacher who is being talked about and appreciated enormously? That is becus in truth, without the proprietor, the teacher doesnt exist in that platform!
Without jesus, my pastor doesnt exist.

What other news is better than the fact that d first ever world-recording gospel music festival is hitting d city of south Africa in April 2015 with lots of street storm, gospel carnival, competition etc, and with attendance of people from all around d world courtesy Christ Embassy.
What other news is better than christ Embassy touching d lives of people in different and amazing ways all over d world!
What about d testimonies frm healing school, Ippc, inner city beneficiaries and others too numerous to mention!

My Pastor, Chris oyakhilome, preaches the undiluted word of God and thats why people like us who follow his preachings are blessed all round! whoeva calls himself a member of Christ Embassy but yet does d wrong things and hurtful things that my pastor preaches against is certainly a son of d devil in the church! My pastor admonishes us to search whateva he preaches in d bible and if it is not in sync, then his word shud be disregarded and treated with contempt!

Christianity is a personal race so whateva u bloody nairaalanders think of my church is ur bloody sucking business because one thing is sure--- we the Christ ambassadors are moving upward and forward, we are immune to scandal!
