And you said you have not previously reschedule your appointment.......

I will advice not to reschedule or else you might have to pay another visa fee o
Honestly, I have not. Or maybe I have forgotten, because my first interview was like three years ago. This is my second.

Please, this is the message I see when I try to reschedule my appointment. Does that mean I will pay a new fee? Thanks. It's urgent, so I just quoted random monickers I believe can answer me. Thanks.

If you cancel your interview date, you will get October dates.
I'm not talking about cancelling. I'm talking about rescheduling. I can see that there are available dates in early August. I'm talking of Abuja, not Lagos.

you are even lucky you got August?? Leave it like that July is already full
Thanks, but I would prefer an earlier date (not necessarily July) for certain reasons. The main reason for asking is to get feedback from you guys about that warning I was displayed about paying additional MRV fee
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by akagson: 7:14pm On Jul 18, 2019
Please, I need urgent response.
I scheduled an interview for 16th of August. I would like to reschedule to an earlier date for certain reasons, but this is the warning I see when I open the page for rescheduling:

"If you cancel this appointment, then you will have exceeded the limit of appointments canceled, and will not be able to schedule another appointment until another MRV fee has been paid."

Mind you, I have never cancelled or rescheduled any appointment before. Why am I seeing this notice, and is it safe to just ignore and go ahead with the rescheduling?
Thank you.

I will be going in for my Visa renewal interview soon. Please, what are the type of questions they ask in F1 renewal interviews?

I think you need to pick Abuja Embassy appointment fast before the dates are taken. Please confirm if there are still available dates in Abuja . The only additional cost you would incure is TO and FRO Abuja

If I for instance, pick Abuja, can I at some point switch back to Lagos if the opportunity pops back up? For me it has been a complicated situation. I just arrived Lagos from the North few days ago for a program. That was the main reason for delaying it because there were uncertainties surrounding my situation. Now, this is adding a new situation — going back and forth opposite ends of the country.

As Nigerians, we find it difficult to plan months ahead. Knowing full well you planned to return to Nigeria in the summer, and that thousands of students are also applying for new f1 visas, trying to renew expired visas, including tourists seeking visit visas... you should have booked an appointment months ago.

Your only option is to request an emergency appointment. The problem is that there are probably many in the same situation and only a limited number of consular officers... hopefully you get lucky.
I did plan many months ago but there were circumstances beyond me that delayed me to this point.

It seems the appointment dates you will find are from November. That's if you can access the appointment page. I hope you aren't doomed.
Is it because they all filled?
I noticed something tho, when I pick Abuja Embassy, there appears to be available dates (not 100% sure tho), but when I pick the Lagos Consulate, then there's no available date.

Is the Lagos one typically like that most of the time? Does it mean I have to go all the way to Abuja for an interview?

Why don't you use the emergency appointment link and indicate in it that you're making this appointment for school purposes whose resumption date is for August.

Are you a returning student with an expired F-1 visa?

Yes, technically, I am a returning student on an expired visa, but that is because since I left for school in 2016, I didn't return until 2019. Upon returning, I first of all went to renew my passport which also took a few weeks.

Hey guys, see me see wahala o!!
I'm trying to make an appointment for the Lagos consular office. After paying all the fees etc, now it gets time to make the appointment and they say
"There are currently no appointments available".
I'm due to resume school by August for my next semester. What do I do? Will appointments open up at some point?
Why are there no appointments available? Am I doomed or what?

I wouldn't change anything, more you change, more the embassy could delay or dig into your history and file. Go to your scheduled interview and bring the old and new passport, they will register your new passport and put visa in it.
Thanks

Hi.
So I have already submitted my Ds-160.
I have the following corrections to make but I'm not sure if I can make it (and how?) without going through the rigor of creating a new DS-160.

1.)I initially entered Abuja as my venue, but now I'll like it to be at Lagos.
2.) I got a renewed passport number and would like to reflect the new passport number.

How do I go about it?

Can someone help me answer this question, please?

I just saw this thread when I was referred here by one other thread about savings interest rate. This thread started way back in 2012 and now has about 769 pages, which is a lot. Many information in this thread would be obsolete by now. Can someone suggest to me what page of this thread I can confidently start reading from to get the most updated information applicable to recent times.
Thanks.

Standard Chartered Bank and Zenith Bank.

Both are listed in the LSE (London Stock Exchange) and operate internationally. So in any case of emergency, both are within reach.

I use both.

Can you guide me through the process of opening with SC?

Hello CosmicJames
I have started trying to apply. I am however stuck in the application, because having filled out all the information, I can not see a button to press so as to finally submit my application. Is that normal?
