Happy sunday to everybody.I have always considered this. We have miracles performed by various men of God in the bible. Moses, Joshua, Elijah, Elisha and others performed several miracles in the old testament. In fact, Elijah raised the Dead. Moses provided manna and water in the wilderness,he also led the isrealites through the red sea and Joshua controled both th moon and the sun(through devine power). Meanwhile in the new testament, Jesus also raised the dead, fed 12,000 men, also walked on water with other numerous miracles. Peter and james also raised the lame, paul and Silas through praises, also opened the prison door effortlessly. Now, the question is 'Which one is more of miracles. Old or New Testament' |
Ten health condition that can disrupt sleep. 1. Acid Reflux Acid reflux occurs when the muscle between the stomach and the oesophagus doesn't seal properly. It's most noticeable at night when laid down as this position allows acid to flow out of the stomach, causing heartburn. Hormone changes during pregnancy and eating a poor diet can increase risk, and around 75 per cent of sufferers find it affects their ability to sleep. (1) 2. Restless Legs Syndrome Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a condition where there is an uncontrollable urge to move the legs, with the feeling often much worse at night . Both voluntary and involuntary movements can affect quality of sleep, and it takes RLS sufferers around 30 minutes longer to fall asleep on average. It can be difficult to pinpoint a cause, but iron deficiencies could be to blame. 3. Arthritis While arthritis itself does not affect sleep, the associated pain can have a big effect. Sufferers may subconsciously move their muscles more frequently in the night to address pain, and many follow an alpha-delta sleep pattern which includes regular waking. (3) The alpha-delta pattern replaces the typical slow wave sleep which is when the highest quality sleep occurs. 4. Exhaustion Being exhausted is often associated with being sleepy, but actually exhaustion and tiredness are two very different things. In fact, those who feel 'burnt out' - with constant fatigue and emotional stress for example - typically sleep much worse than others, with more awake time during the night, less slow wave sleep (deep sleep), and an overall lower sleep efficiency. (4) 5. Diabetes Studies have found that while the average rate of sleep disturbances amongst healthy adults is around eight per cent, this figure rises sharply for people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes , with around 33 per cent who report difficulties sleeping. (5) Sleep disruptions are often related to poor circulation, with leg cramps, burning soles, and a tingling sensation in the feet commonly cited as reasons for poor sleep. 6. Overactive bladder syndrome Overactive bladder syndrome is when the bladder contracts as if it is full, although it may still be quite empty. The contraction leads to feelings of urgency, and sufferers may feel the need to use the toilet more frequently. Overactive bladder syndrome is associated with a poor quality of sleep, (6) and affects about 16 per cent of men and 17 per cent of women. 7. Nocturnal asthma Nocturnal asthma leaves sufferers struggling to catch a breath, experiencing chest tightness, and wheezing and coughing during the night. It's thought that common allergens like bed bugs and dust mites in bed linen contribute towards the condition. Around 93 per cent of sufferers report bad sleep, and studies show average sleep time is reduced by around 47 minutes. (7) 8. Irritable bowel syndrome Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a condition that causes abdominal cramping, bloating and excess gas, and can cause both diarrhoea and constipation. Studies have found that around 71 per cent of IBS sufferers report sleep disturbances, with the most common reason for a lack of sleep being painful stomach aches. IBS is frequently associated with stress. ( 9. Allergic rhinitis Around one in five people in the UK suffer withallergic rhinitis - an inflammation of the inside of the nose caused by common allergens like pollen, pet hair, or dust mites . Those with allergic rhinitis are more likely to report insomnia, and are more likely to snore which can affect quality of sleep. Some studies have also shown a link between allergic rhinitis and sleep apnoea. (9) 10. Depression Studies suggest that around 23 per cent of depressed people experience insomnia (10) - having trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep, and around 6 per cent suffer with hypersomnia - sleeping for excessive periods that can affect day- to-day life. Antidepressants used to treat depression are a recognised contributing factor to sleep |

Unlike the usual demand of armed robbers, robbery in most areas of Ogun state are now conducted for primary reason of collecting Permanent Voter's card of victims. The ones I heard of before, was the one that happened to a friend along Ijebu-Ode and another one at Sagam area of Ogun state. Getting to my place this evening in Ikenne, the story proved to be more than a film trick. I met a report that a group of six men came to the house. They rejected every other thing apart from money which they later took having collected the PVC. If you claim you don't have, they will give you the analysis of how you collected it and beat you up for not being trustworthy. All these at gun point. Protect your PVC Be security concious God bless Nigeria! |

In the tme past, most people have always taken thier time to look at the negativities of private university in Nigeria. Giving it a closer look, I have been able to outline the following advantages i want to share about private unis. Here we go. 1.Relatively Easy Admission. Of course, everybody who resides in Nigeria will testify to the unparralleled ease you encounter when you write an entrance exam of a private university. So considerate. 2.Having Your Preferred course. Owing to the comparatively reduced cut-off marks, you stand a shining chance of having your course of choice. 3.You Have A Better Relationship With The Lecturers. At the private university, the lecturers value each student. As they know that is where their salary comes from. They fear being reported. Hardly do they miss classes and they teach student to understand to a reasonable level. If they fail; as a lecturer, you have to defend the occurrence. 4.Security. There is a good number of security personnel. Right from the gate, the check -ups start. There is also reduced level of moleststion and cultism. 5.Acquisition Of Extra Skills. Some of this schools have companies. Bottle water comapny, bakery, radiostation etc And they allow thier students to work with them to acquire knowledge. 6.They Financially Broaden Your Mind. If you are the type that places too much value on little money, the school fees and lifestyle there will definately change your mentality. 7.Good Grade. With private university, you stand a chance of making a good grade. With some of them rejecting "pass" as a perequisite for promotion and placing thier "A" at 80, you just have to make a good grade and nothing less. 8. Closeness To God. Why would you not be close to God? You are inside the school like a boarding house secondary school, limitation to music you can hear, dress code decree and whether you like it or not they will drag you to fellowship. Lol |
