In commemoration of his 2nd year in office, Alh. Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as Mc-Oluomo, has partnered with SunTrust Bank in providing new commercial buses to interested members of the Lagos State NURTW.
The NURTW boss noted that many of the union members were interested in buying brand new buses for their transportation business but they were handicapped because of fund. He equally said some of their members are having difficulty with their business due to the frequent mechanical faults of their buses.
Mc-Oluomo disclosed that the partnership was necessitated due to his desire to assist his members in carrying out their businesses seamlessly and the need to change some old buses on the roads of lagos state. The partnership will see SunTrust Bank provide brand new buses to interested members of the NIRTW while they will be repaying the money installment.
He however urged the beneficiaries of the 1 phase of the program to be prompt in the repayment of their money so as to give room for other members of the union to benefit while praising the management team of SunTrust Bank for their magnanimity. He stressed that himself and the union members appreciate their gesture and that they will not be disappointed.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of some of the buses to the NURTW leader whom inturned distributed them to their various branches for interested members. Alh. Akinsanya equally appreciated all the State Executive member and the entire union members for their support and cooperation. He noted that due to the love and understanding that exist between them, Lagos state council of the NURTW has been peaceful and progressive, he urged them to continue in such spirit so as to fully rebrand the Union.

My story goes thus.My relative with a history of multiple preterm births employed the service of a gynaecologist (Lecturer) to perform a preventative cerclage at 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The lady lost her mucus plug three weeks after the procedure and the Doctor gave her the all clear only to loose her water a week later.The doctor discharged her while having contractions and precribed antibiotics for her.
She sought a second option from another doctor who tried to salvage the situtation by doing another emergency cerclage only to find out the previous cerclage was badly done.( loose to one knot and lost its elasticity).This means the previous doctor used an inferior material for the procedure.
After the second doctor’s emergency cerclage ,he conducted some Blood tests and found out there is an infection in the body.The only option was to terminate the pregnancy. She had no option but to terminate the pregnancy but to her horror the doctor delivered the baby at 19 weeks with a severed head.
The lady is in trauma whenever she remembers the horror she and her baby had to go through. Share your bad experiences and how did you remedy the situation?

My case was a bit different at 23 weeks membrane was already down and cervix dilated to 2 cm and all effort to make it go back up b4 d cerclage proved abortive. Cerclage was done like that tho. Pls im not comfortable with u doing ur bed rest at home.

Obasanjo Is An Igbo Man, S’West Hasn’t Produced President Since 1999 – Adefuye Lagos – Senator Anthony Adefuye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday said it is the turn of the South-West to produce the President of Nigeria in 2023 as the only region that is yet to do so since the return of democratic governance to the country in 1999.
Speaking in an interview with INDEPENDENT, Adefuye said those clamouring for the Presidency to go to the South-East are wrong as the region produced former President Olusegun Obasanjo who was in power from 1999 to 2007.
According to him, Obasanjo is an Igbo man because his father hailed from Anambra state while his mother is a Yoruba woman.
He added that while in office Obasanjo concentrated most of his efforts towards developing the South-East, including appointing five Ministers as well as the Central Bank Governor from the region while he completely abandoned the South-West.
He said: “I believe that in 2023, the APC will zone the Presidential ticket to the South. When it comes to the South, then it will be narrowed down to the South West because that is the only region that has not produced the President since 1999. It has always been the North and the Igbos.
“Some people may argue that what about Obasanjo? Obasanjo is not a Yoruba man. He is an Igbo man from the South-East. His father is from Anambra while his mother is a Yoruba woman. And that was why during his tenure, he completely ignored the South West. For example, throughout his eight years, he did nothing on the Lagos- Ibadan
But he did a lot for his people in the South-East. He picked five Ministers from there and even appointed the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from Anambra where his father comes from.
“So, it is right for the South-West to demand for the Presidency in 2023. What we should be doing now is working towards 2023 to ensure that the Presidency comes to the Southwest. The Southwest has never produced the President before,” he said.
