Christianity EtcRe: Can A Christian Guy Marry A Muslim Girl? by Akindarchi(m): 6:51am On Oct 02, 2013
undecided lemme put it ds way, u can either choose to live according to the guidance of God or u choose to freestyle ur life. There are many who indulge in premarital sex and later get married and witness no direct repercussions, but that doesn't change the stance of d religion on fornication. Honestly if my personal opinion was sought in ds matter, it seems to me that u are impying that u trust ur emotions over the decree of the one who created those emotions. On a sidenote when Adam and Eve ate from d fruit, it cud be argued that there really wasn't much logical explanation as to y d restriction was der, God just said stay away from ds one tree, and d rest is history....now God tells u u av all these sisters available to u, just stay away from those others....and d rest wud be ur future. But then my opinion isn't sought so, just reflect

If u are asking for the islamic standpoint, to the best of my knowledge, it is discouraged but permissible for a muslim man to marry a woman belonging to the christian or jewish faith, and forbidden to the muslim man are polytheists and athiests. While it is not permissible for a muslim woman to marry any other than a believing muslim man. Now u know that, if u feel like twisting it in any way to suit ursef, carry on, I just felt I shud put ds up since someone already put up the christian doctrine concerning the matter. If u think it is unfair, take it up with God when u meet Him
IslamRe: Quran Says Bible Is A Book Of Reference For The Muslims by Akindarchi(m): 10:41am On Sep 30, 2013
Wow! All theses back and forth argument made me almost forget d original topic. I av noticed cleanvessel and his contributions on different threads, and I av to say he reminds me of an Ayat in surah layl "verily we take upon ourselves to guide" I.e nothing short of Divine guidance wud make ds dude bulge. Back to the topic, I think I can contribute by answering 2 questions dat were posted up back at d beginning of the thread: when did the people of the book throw it behind their back and why did they do so. The answer to d first one in my opinion is in surah Bayyinah(the clear evidence) ayat no 4 "Nor did the pple of the book make schisms until after there came to them Clear evidence". And the answer to d second question can be got by examining the stories of the life of the Prophet, the Jews then were annoyed that d long awaited Prophet came from d Arabs rather from among them, It is said dat dey cud av recognised the Prophet as easily as dey wud av known their own children becauses of the descriptions of him in their books, so they had to hide some parts of it and distort some parts. And going by the quranic verse d thread opener brought it says (I am not quoting) "ask the people of the book ...IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT". So if I were to follow the advice, I can ask d Jews and Christians about tins I am in doubt of, and one tin I av realised after being Christian before being Muslim is dat, Christianity isn't as simple as islam...but still I wud keep it in mind to hala at a christian if I av a question which not even our muslim scholars can answer...but then again, which sect of christians do u advise I ask anyways? May Peace be upon u

So let's make it short, how are u gonna be recognized today as a christ-like person? In other words what characteristics do u have in common with the way Jesus lived his life

Jesus and his disciples were killed by people like you - the law keepers. Muslims are Pharisees and Saducees of today. What you muslims are saying today was what they were saying that made them kill the people of God[/quote]to the best of my knowledge, it was the Romans rulers that persecuted Jesus after hearing rumors that he claimed to be a king. Funny how these same Romans who wouldn't tolerate Jesus as a king ended up being the main force to propagate the story of Jesus being a God to the whole world. God works in mysterious ways I suppose. Paul must have been a more convincing figure than the whole 12 disciples and Jesus and all the divine miracles put together... smiley

Even if all the responses seem to be quite discouraging, I am sure that this dialogue wud inspire some to reflect further. For those that wish to reflect, why not try this litmus test: imagine the nickname 'christian' (meaning christ-like) hadn't been coined, can you think of any 5 characteristics that you depict that would spur your neighbours to call you a Christ-like person? If you can't, then you really should ponder about how the disciples must have lived their lives to earn such a honorable nickname, and then decide whether it is neccessary for one to live like that in this present day. May God soften our hearts to accept the truth as truth.-as a side note Idolatory is not tolerated to any degree in Islam.
IslamRe: Proove It If Quran Is Really God's Word And Not Man by Akindarchi(m):
karo93: yeah he debunked science by saying THE EARTH IS FLAT, by saying THE SUN SETS IN A MUDDY SPRING, and by saying SPERMATOZOA IS FORMED IN THE RIBS behind the kidneys.
if that is the era of science you are living in PLEASE! WAKE UP FROM YOUR REVERIE
with all due respect, the Quran doesn't say spermatozoa is stored in the ribs. The verse is translated as "sperm gushes from between the ribs and the small of the back". Now spermatozoa which is stored in the testicles makes up about less than 5 % of sperm. Before ejaculation, spermatozoa from the testicles is brought out and it mixes with several other components that are essential for the formation of healthy sperm. The last thing added is semen, which is the liquid part of sperm dat accounts for 90% of sperm, and semen is added to d mix in somewhere close to d end of the spine, it is thus at ds place dat sperm is produced and ejaculation expells d whole tin out. Feel free to research ursef to see if ds is true, God knows best, may He reward us all with humble Hearts to be able to recognize truth, amen. As for the part where u say d sun set in murky waters, u must have made a honest mistake of misunderstanding the ayat or verse. It was speaking of a man travelling who met "Magrib" in murky waters. Magrib cud be translated as the setting of the sun, or the time when the sun is setting. If u asked any muslim what magrib is they wud say it is one of the 5 daily prayers we observe, and it is called such because we pray "magrib salat" just after dusk(when the sun sets). So the correct translation of that verse u spoke of is meant to be sometin like "He met the time of the setting of the sun in murky waters". See y we can't afford not to learn arabic? Cuz when u translate to any language, abit of the message is inevitably lost. I hope I have been able to positively shed some light on the matter, God knows best...

Ayenny, I must commend your calm and non abusive responses. You have really been a good ambassador of Islam. An Anti-Christ by definition is any person that goes against or contradicts the Christ(Jesus Pbuh). For one to engage this thread, one must firstly reflect without bias on 1) Christ 2) Christianity (as it exists today) and 3) Islam. It is clearly obvious that most of the christians that try to comment on islam are merely voicing notions and not facts and findings of their own, as such I implore u to please do a little background check of Islam, and if God wills u might be enlighthened more.
