u are right but presently have chinese developer rom(version 29/12/16) on my redmi 3s (which is some days old now) at first i got my phone software brick the following day after receiving from post office by failing to disable dm–dm-verity after flashing twrp recovery. with some guide i was able to revive it with EDL MODE. now i have unlock my bootloader and have twrp reovery. yes its difficult if u are unable to exercise patient and made proper research b4 flashing anything on ur device. one of the safest way to flash rom (either official or unofficial) is to first unlock ur bootloader and have custom recovery (twrp recovery)on ur phone. note b4 u carry out this process its advicable to make a proper findings and u will also need a pc. yes my phone came with a vendor rom which is very boring asin when guy with dsame phone are busy enjoying latest android version, one will be stuck with a boring outdated vendor rom. due they are 2 type of andriod user, dose who made use of the phone d way d manufacturer wanted dem to(asin calls, message, videos music, chatting etc ) and dose who really wish to make the best out of their phone(asin to maximize the hidden potential of the phone ) by rooting flashing, customizing and overclocking or underclocking the phone cpu. but it comes with a price of either hard brick or soft brick, but all in all to me its fun.

Pls, what makes these other roms special. Also, what makes the miui rom special? Seems I have a lot to learn when it comes to tweaking the phone to get the best usage. And considering dis wud be my 1st android fone, hope it wudnt be too complicated for me. Lol

google will be ur best option due to d fact dat u are new to d world of android. Google d following: advantage and disadvantage of rooting of android phone, custom recovery, custom ROM and kernel source, b4 venting into customising ur android phone because u might either get soft brick or hard brick if something goes wrong. If its soft brick u are at a safe side, flashing ur stock ROM will get u out of soft brick but if its hard brick no remedy, bye bye to d phone. I did hard brick 2 of my phone(HTC mytouch 4g & one other htc) den wen I was still new to flashing of rom&recovery but now am trying in porting of android ROM and recovery most specially mediatek phones.

i had to revert back to my previous rom [infinix xos] on my lenovo k3 note after days of experiencing android 7 on my device[ cant r record tru camera, cant record sound, battery etc]

Yes the Chinese rom has more features than global rom. But you don't need to unlock bootloader to flash stock rom.

i know, i cant stick with miui rom. in order to flash any other rom the bootloader need to be unlock. and i`ve found some interesting rom for this phone,[ zenui rom, cm13 rom,xperia cm13 rom, cm14 rom].

after days of fasting and prayer my phone is now in nigeria. latest update NGLOSA, RECEIVE ITEM AT OFFICE OF EXCHANGE

plz dont get me wrong i wasnt saying they are fraud because i blive i will surely get my phone but i most concede its getting long and the purpose i order the phone for can no long be met. but i did observe something that the more u complain the faster the shipment of ur order after their normal 2to 7 working days.

Please what is false about the tracking number?? You people you check out samples before claiming its false, I have more than 20 Singapore tracking number, I know the pattern they use.. Its normal for all Post, whenever you receive a tracking number there's a 10% chance that its FAKE.. It takes 2-5 days for it to update, that's why the first thing u see for Singapore post is information received, why is because they have be notified about ur tracking number, but they have not received the physical package as time goes on it updates..
Same thing with PostNL, its show Pre-advised after 2-5 days, same thing with swiss post, Sweden post and for China post it shows Electronic information received.
I dunno why people are bad washing GeekBuying!! Seriously I dunno, before u buy anything from there there's a notification that's shows items would be shipped after 2-7 working days. So whenever u are buying from GeekBuying put that behind ur mind.
Even on Aliexpress some store takes 5-7days to ship out so why the surprise.
I bought from Banggood lately they used Swiss post it took 24 days of tracking before I could get the package.
These stores are trying for African, Go and try USA stores and see if you would not pay for shipping through your nose..!

loll at first u claim it take 2-7 working days to ship order on geekbuying in my own scenario u can help me to calculate the working days from on the 13/11/ the day i made an order to 25/11. When they claim the shipment of my order. On DAT same day (25/11) I order for oukitel u7 plus on aliexpress which was ship on 26/11 . while on the 7/12. I received a call from post office saying that I have a percel with dem at first I thought it was d fone I ordered from geekbuying but on getting dere it turn out to be the fone I order from aliexpress. Back to my topic, On that very day I tried tracking my order from geekbuying which was on 7/12. Still receive the same information had bin receiving from d very first day dey claim to have ship my order(information received this is not .......) Surprising on the 10/12. I tried tracking my order again but all I could see was there is no package found using both Singapore tracking site and 17track(including 11,12,13to 15), the following day I decided to make my voice heard by sending them a meesage regarding the tracking number and site, and I was replied on the 14/12. That I should exercise some patient that it might be an error from the tracking site . on 16 Wednesday. It was updated with despatch to oversea, if truly it has bin ship all dis while by now the fone should have bin in Nigeria.

it means Singpost does not actually have possession of this package but had bin notify about the shipment of your order. I had same issue after providing tracking number which always display information received for 2 week plus , I quickly write to them declaring my annoyance with their false tracking number and my order was actually ship the 3rd day which was on the 16 of this month. The information am receiving now is dispatch to over sea destination country Nigeria. So I would urge u to write to them regarding ur order and how disappointed u are with their service. I assure u ur order will be quickly tend to.

I must concede looking at the spec its absolutely cool. Am using lenovo k3 note which I ordered from aliexpress around July and so far am enjoying the phone. Lot of custom ROM smooth and lag free. Are u planning on geting the phone? If yes it OK but base on the right price.

Bought this phone last year december from jumia on black friday for #19900, use it for like 7 month plus. Sold it last week after purchasing lenovo k3 note from aliexpress which arived last week tuesday. i most concede this phone is absorlutely superb compare to may mediatek 32bit phones sold for 30k +. It camera is equivalent to so many mediatek phone with 13 mp camera. One thing that i so much love about xiaomi is that, their phones usually have the minimum of 2 to 3 years of rom upgrading which means you get to enjoy any latest feature and rom despite being on android os 4.4 compare to many mediatek phone makers. One thing i hate about this mediatek phone makers is that instead of them upgrading their device to the latest os all you will see is a new device with almost thesame spec (they might change the size of the phone from 5inch to 5.2 or 5.5, or the camera from 8 mp to 13 mp or the ram) with the previous one. Xiaomi rock.

i will suggest you to order tru aliexpress, becos they have so many marketers on aliexpress. if one claims not to ship to your country (nigeria) other marketer will surely do. i did came across same thing today when a particular marketer claim not to ship a product to nigeria and other marketers claim to ship thesame product to nigeria, so its vice versa .when we have many marketers. just use the search engine on their site to search for the goods.
