i was able to track 9e yesterday with a 90cm dish and strong short neck lnb on my digital3g 4922hd decoder with 37% signal strenght (best i could get with the lnb)but turn out that my decoder couldnt open it despite claiming its powervu enable device, so i quickly turn my dish back to it previous position here in lagos.
this satellite is stuborn and acquire patient after hitting green on 5e tighten the dish and adjust the lnb in between 6 to 7 oclock and forcefully adjust the dish to your left and a bit downward not up to half inches standing at the back of your dish. patiently track within that position u will surely hit green

they are both thesame, infact u can flash the China version ROM on the India device and the India rom on China device. The only difference is the ROM(software) india version have FM radio, google app. While the China version no google app, no FM, but have live button for live TV some other app.

China variant (c106) last receive OTA=December 2016. India Variant c103 last receive OTA=March 2017.till date no OTA. OTA on this device is something i can't guarantee becos dey hardly push OTA update to it

yes dey are releasing nougat this month in fact me don't dey rock ham. I also read on Chinese site that EUI ROM is on close beta but am not sure about DAT.
To me na average heating if I compare ham with my previous phone(k3 note) but the way dose India folks dey complain about d heating go make person run from the phone but still some of them still dey buy ham. so all na to discourage people. But a time it quite annoying make u never press phone reach any place make him don dey warm . I wonder y dem dey complain for phone wey dem use metal build. But sincerely u will never regret going for dis phone if u didn't fall into the category of those I claim on my previous post.

if u love customizing and modding(by using themes to customize every corner of ur phone, xpose framework and some other app), frequent updating of ur phone [for solving bug and to enjoy new coding, features, app etc] and "optional" flashing of rom [custom rom for taste of new OS and features] i will urge u to go for MIUI DEVICE. but if u are into camera, performance (gaming, multi task etc), battery coolpad cool1 dual is absolutely OK. its gifted with dual 13mp camera which has some cool features such as SLR mode, can record 4k video, slow motion video, etc. the EUI build has serious heating issue while gaming or browsing with either 3g or 4g network for some time, which i can confirm has been either solve or minimal after flashing the latest close beta rom JUI build (journey ui android 7) compare to that of EUI, which is yet to be release to the public, but dated to be release this month.

you are quite right, b4 d next OTA update will b available some beta testers will take d update for a spin n give feedbacks right....
here is what i was trying to explain to him, do u knw nougat z available for mi5 now, bt it is available in form of beta roms which is also called developer roms, if u are on eida global stable or china stable you can try out nougat, u dnt av to be a beta tester, d OTA update is avilable for d public, u cn eida download it as a recovery rom or thru d updater app....

beta tester is quite different from beta ROM( developer ROM). If one is on either global or Chinese stable ROM will Neva get developer ota update same thing apply to developer ROM.

If you are on global rom, it's either you receive a global stable update pushed to the general public or you receive a beta stable update pushed to some random users. You can't be on global rom and receive update for developer rom. That's why I highlighted the bolded in the previous post

u are right grandmufti. Every xiaomi device has a beta tester. This beta testers are people who wish to take some risk by installing none tested ROM on their device and gives feedback regarding the pros and cons of either global stable or Chinese stable ROM b4 hitting the general public tru ota. One of the greatest advantage of being a beta tester is that u get to enjoy latest update (as in OS update) b4 anybody, though during this testing time u are expected to give feedback regarding d pros and cons of d update b4 it get release to the general public but it come with a price(soft brick). beta tester is open to all once u possess all their requirement (medals, ur positive contributions, etc)

Globe ROM is a custom RoM based on Xiaomi.eu ROM that which is based on official xiaomi ROM.
I.e
Official Xiaomi makes ROM, xiaomi.eu tweaks d ROM to make it better, Globe ROM now tweaks xiaomi.eu ROM.

House, I ordered Redmi 3s from geekbuying on 13/11/16 and eventually pick it today from the Post Office.
However after booting it on, it indicated "No SIM"
I discovered the following:
- WiFi not working. Switches off immediately after being switched on.
- Bluetooth not functional.
- FM Radio not working
- Invalid IMEI - when I tired checking.
- The MUMI has 5 digits - vendor installation is likely here.
Please can this be attributed to software or hardware ?
What is the next step to take - pls help a brother here.

Most times, it's a phase. You will soon discover that over time, those in your 2nd category , gradually metamorphose back to the first category.

Most of us started with serious flashing,tweaking and customizing our phones with all kinds of tweaks and custom roms, nowadays sef, I even hardly update apps on playstore talkless of installing xposed or custom roms.

Best I do now is root and install twrp for backup purposes. Sometimes if it ain't broke, why fix it

yes I do find myself back on stock ROM only on miui device because miui is my best OS, second to HTC SENSE OS. But will have to flash Chinese developer ROM because to me, the Chinese developer ROM is a custom ROM which get update weekly with latest features(new android code). On my any other brand I ensure to find a ported miui ROM to flash because I so much love their user interface.
