Well, I can't say for the North, but for the South, roads are currently ongoing. The Sagamu to Ijebu Ode is ongoing..
The Benin to Asaba is ongoing. The East West road is ongoing. Benin to Sapele is ongoing, and some others I can't remember sha. Owerri to Aba is also ongoing. Julius Berger still dey do Lagos/Ibadan expressway since GEJ era too.

They are all concrete too.

He is doing well in terms of roads. We have to give him that!

Many people at my first bank branch today complaining about tax deductions from their matured treasurybill, they weren't aware of it so the uproar in the manager office was so loud. Imaging paying a tax of up to 2.4m of money you've long spent i heard from the crowd.

I hope mutual funds investors won't have to pay tax on accrued interest when one is ready to withdraw capital?

Read to understand. I still stand on what I said. All prospective students who has summited an application to a US university before the visa ban should reach out to them before they contact an applicant themselves. Many applications are being declined due to lack of communication. When this visa issue started, the first thing I did was to contact schools I have not gotten an offer from. I explained to them the current situation (even though I know they are aware) and while some school said they will consider my application, others said they will consider my application for the next semester and I do not need to apply again to them.

Now it will shock you that most of my guys who refused to contact them were sent an email saying due to the visa issues, their application cannot be considered. Communication is key. In situations like this you need to communicate.

Don't go ahead telling people to disregard communicating with their school, you will be doing them more harm than good.

What are you saying If you wait for the school to reach out to you first, they will be reaching out with a letter declining your application due to the ban. You are supposed to reach them first.

We are all in the game, so u can't tell me it's easier said from afar. I know it's painful but the result is that one person can make u lose your job. So it's better to avoid it than remedy the results.
U know it was an error on her path, but u also have a blame cos u didn't confirm destination at PU point. she was directing u to d right address. It's not as if she wants to swindle u after taking her to her destination. The right thing to do is renegotiate a fair price to the right destination. If it doesn't work for u then u drop her and let her go. Cos in this case u haven't gone up to 2km yet.
There will be problem if u are asking her to pay the 5k by force, even if that's d right thing, ones fight enter u are now on d wrong side.
There is no app that will not block u ones u get physical with a rider irrespective of who is at fault.
But if u feel u are right and didn't do anything wrong, continue and repeat it with Bolt and Uber since u don't want to take advise.

Thank you @Akinlot. The link you posted is that of the White House, and any top-U.S. government officials can post there. You can see where president Trump is posting " I restricted " Not The U.S. government restricted. Ipso facto, Trump is not a dictator or a military ruler.

To guide you very well, and for emphasis, once Trump proposal is granted by the U.S senate or the White house, they will then post it officially on the U.S. embassy websites located in all countries.

Here is the official website for the U.S. Embassy in Abuja (and Consulate in Nigeria) ng.usembassy.gov, where you can find information on visas, citizen services, appointments, and official announcements,

So, until it is posted on the U.S. embassy website, it is still a proposal.

I read it also on BCC and Washinton post but i am yet to see it posted officially on the U.S. embassy website, therefore, it is not official yet.

Whenever president Trump talks with frustration when answering journalists, that does not automatically turn his wishes to law. He has said and done many things like that in the past, but at the end it was not ratified by the white house or halt by the supreme court.

As of the time of typing this message , it is still a proposal (not official) that Nigeria might be place on "Temporary Entry Restiction (not visa ban) come January 2026.

The bank is guaranteeing he would perform and deliver on the contract as based on the 50% advance he received from the government.

If he fails to deliver, the state government which is the principal will call the bond and the bank that guaranteed the contractor's performance will be held liable to reimburse the government.

The fact that the state government paid Zenith bank instead of jaiz bank that guaranteed the contract shows a lot that is wrong in this country. Somebody on Enugu state government is also complicit. But I don't think that matters now, it seems the government will deal with him with EFCC.

I didn't watch the guy's sobbing videos so I don't know what excuse he gave for failure to deliver on the project but from what I read in the Enugu state government's side of the story, it appears the guy never had intentions of delivering on the project in line with the contract terms.

If the government advenced 50% for the project and upon provision of bank guarantee bond, sijumoto was expected to have achieved major milestone from the funds and at least have on ground equity work that can be assessed to encourage the government to release the balance payment.

To me it juts seem as if the guy has been so used to doing shoddy jobs for government contracts and wasn't expecting the state government to operate strictly on the terms of the contract. He most likely had greased people's palms and was expecting them to give him pass so he can assess the outsnadibg balance while delivery a poor quality job.

The audacity he has to have avoided all meetings with the the state's engineering monitoring team shows he has his trust on the old system of greasing palms and putting up a no-show.

I like how the Enugu state government put a fire to his asss. Now he will have to reimburse them and he will be in serious debt for not doing the right thing and being arrogant while in the wrong.

Hypothetical figures.

A person applies for N100,000 loan at 5% annual interest. The 5% interest of N5,000 is deducted upfront, and N95,000 is credited to the person's account. The loanee is to pay back N100,000 instead of N95,000 with monthly repayment of N10,000 for 10 months.

Doesn't paying back N100,000 instead of N95,000 amount to an interest rate of 10% since the interest was deducted upfront and only 95,000 was disbursed?
