Thank you for this. I have read a number of literature on it and it reinforces my conviction that betting is a scam.

If you bet and win big, be humble.

Understand that you don't know anything and you only got lucky.

Take your loot and walk away. If you continue betting, like I have said a million times already, you will lose it back.

You know the funny part of this guy's story?

He started placing 1 million, 2 million e.t.c on single bets..
The archives are there in the betting thread.
Newdelhi alleged that he abandoned his moniker because he turned broke

You betting 1m from 45m is the same way as someone taking 1k, 2k from 45k to bet..
Three straight losses that you'd actively start chasing can finish your 45k..

Those wey de bet know wetin chasing of loss fit do
I told him the same thing earlier. Even if you win 125m with 10 naira, as long you continue betting, you will lose it back. It is only a matter of time.

The 0.001% of bettors who beat the bookies know when to walk away.

He had better options to play on than that match, i yelled when i saw it and the amount he put. What's 2up?
The bet wins when the team you play to win goes two goals ahead.

The odds are usually lower than playing outright win.

2up or not is besides the point. There is also no better option. If he had won with 2up or any other option today, as long as he continues betting, he will lose it all.

99% of people who bet lose in the long run. It's just that simple.

Stay away from gambling guys.

They didn't even have all the HOA members present, they should have been, it was more Akpabio and Abass pushing the president's will through, regardless of what the process dictates.
They said it was going to be an actual vote. I was naive and foolish to have believed them
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Akinlot: 12:37pm On Mar 20, 2025
I was a little hopeful that the house of reps will present some opposition. I knew Senate was a lost cause due to Akpabio.

PDP, NNPP, LP governors cannot instruct their HOR members to vote against this illegal and unconstitutional SOE.

It's Fubara today, it will be their turn tomorrow.

Only if you wanted to deceive yourself will you be in doubt which side Tinubu supported or why. Tinubu asked Fubara a long time to seek a political solution cos Wike holds all the cards.

When there is breakdown of law and order in a state which the governor cannot control, a State of Emergency becomes necessary. With pipelines being blown up this was the red line

The Admiral is probably a Wike nominee, For the next 6months allocation will not touch Fubaras hand and he also needs to be careful not tp be roped into anything criminal

Within those 6months, LG allocation and chairman will be layered with Wikes men, The Attorney General that was in Fubaras corner would have been spoken to

In all of these Fubara lost as he never enjoyed his tenure for 3months , He didn't even settle down to chop his money and going forward he cant even chop money cos every way to nail him will be explored even if na #1m mismanaged
You called it. Wike the tout is the president. Tinubu is a figure head

BTW.......make una check the Resolutions that Fubara later shredded and dumped in the Bin.
I would have done the same.

Represent budget to lawmakers who willingly defected and were out to draw blood, recall commissioners who resigned out of their own will, leave Wikes men in charge of the local government.

Even if the governor lost in the end, he fought a good fight as a man should do.

There’s a taint of hypocrisy in this state of emergency declaration and Tinubu did not hide his bias against Fubara sha .

I read through Tinubu’s address and some of the “allegations “ he leveled against Fubara are ridiculous . One of such was Tinubu referring to the militants who threatened violence last week; he’s saying Fubara did not deny them till now .

He also said Fubara did not do anything to prevent the blowing of the two pipelines earlier today .

How exactly is the governor going to do that ? Shey na him Dey control police and other security agents ni ? Is DSS. not supposed to be an intelligence agency responsible for gathering intelligence to prevent such incidence ? Is the DSS not under control of the FG again ?

Looking at the powers granted the appointed administrator on policy formulation and that such policies will be ratified and gazetted by the Federal executive council , it only means Wike won eventually because the same Wike who threatened to blow up the country if Ijaws blow up pipelines still remains part of the FEC .

I won’t be surprised if the appointed administrator conducts LGA election within the 6 months period and Wike guys are smuggled in to take over the whole political structure before the 6 months period elapses .
Nothing else to add.

Both the governor and Wike the tout have their faults. Only one party was mentioned throughout the broadcast. Not a single word for Wike.

President is probably still butthurt the governor disregarded his biased resolution.

so happy with what he's doing. If I had the following, I'll be doing the same thing.

No one should ever let himself drawn to betting. It's evil, the bookies are heartless and you can never win them.

Banks won 111m in January and this thread was set on fire by ignorant people. Banks by his own admission said he spent more than 20m betting last week. We can safely say he has lost the entire money back to the original owners.

Commission from referrals, advertisement and general influencing is how big punters make money.

No one accumulating hundreds of odds will be profitable in the long run.

A word is once again enough for the wise.

It is free money now , what do u expect . The bookie is sure u will almost always lose . So they just need to motivate the punters to encourage to bet and they will both share the largesse from ur “misfortune “ .
With this revelation, we can safely remove "almost".

The bookie who offered that deal is absolutely sure that anyone who plays will lose.

Very much surprised. The bookie is willing to share 40% of revenue made from anyone who uses the punters referral link with the punter.

Which other business does anyone offer you 40% of revenue?

The case satusfies all 3 elements u listed up there .

The farmer was stabbed with a knife and he stabbed the herdsman back with the same knife . His self defence was not in any way disproportionate.

If the herdsmen had hit the farmer with a stick
And the farmer retaliate with a knife stab u could’ve had a point on the self defense method being disproportionate.

You are making the same mistake the trial judge made by misinterpreting the principle of self defence .

Why do u think there’s an uproar to the extent that the American human rights activist had to appear on Arise TV last week? It’s because the judgement was totally illogical . If person carry knife wan end me and I overpowered him and ended him, the law is not supposed to punish me for that considering the assailant even trespasses on private property .

Do u know how many times home owners in America have shot at burglars fatally and have to walk simply because they acted in self defense ?

The law doesn’t sit down and start thinking maybe the herdsmen intended to stab u in the leg and not the chest . That’s not how the law works and the defence team knows that , which is the reason they pointed out at the illogical conclusion of trial judge .

There was also the issue of the judge not giving judgement within the stipulated period as per the constitution . There’s a lot off about this case .

Not sure to what extent lawyers would blow a case to that a clear act of self-defense skips manslaughter, or even the average sentence for murder (25 years) and climbs all the way to a death by hanging that's the maximum allowable sentence for that sort of situation.
I think they relied too much on the self defence angle.

I believe there are other loopholes they could have tried to exploit.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Akinlot: 12:07pm On Mar 10, 2025
BlueRayDick:
While you are right that self defense is not absolute , I believe the farmer has shown enough evidence that the attacker was out to kill him and left him (the farmer ) no choice but to kill him ( the herdsman ) .

I have read through the facts of the case from the moment it was in the lower court and all evidence shows that the farmer has suffered a great miscarriage of justice by our legal system . Everything about this sentence shows what is wrong with our judicial system .

To start with , the herdsman trespassed on the farmer’s property and has no legal justification to be on the farm at that time . He further proceeded to attack the farmer with a weapon that was capable of inflicting fatal injury on the farmer . It was reported that the farmer was stabbed severally before he overpowered the herdsman and inflicted a fatal blow on him.

Normally the case should not have even gone on trial but because it happened under Buhari’s government when Fulani herdsmen were treated as the most important set of people than any other person in this country , they took it to trial and charged the victim with murder . This in itself is another grave injustice; the farmer should’ve been charged for manslaughter if he must be charged but they deliberately charged him for murder .

You suggested the farmer’s defense team may have bungled the case but that is actually not the case . The defense team right from the lower court consistently pointed it out that the trial judge’s reasoning has been illogical from the start and inconsistent with the universal interpretation of self-defense . It is illogical for the trial judge to expect a farmer who has been stabbed by his assailant to just walk away after he was able to overpower his assailant . What if he wanted to walk away and the attacker picked up any object like stone , a log of wood , etc to end him from behind ?

I think there should be a serious uproar about this case and hopefully the case can be reviewed . If not , this case will leave a very bad precedent and will embolden more criminals to get justice against their victims
According to our criminal code, for self defence to fly, these three ingredients must be satisfied

1. That the victim was attacking or about to attack the defendant in a manner that grievous hurt and or death was possible, and he had to defend himself

2. That the self-defence was instantaneous and
contemporaneous with threatened attack

3. That the mode of defence was not greater or
disproportionate with the threatened attack

While this case clearly satisfies the first two, the judges were not convinced it satisfies the third.

If a man stabs you on the leg, you find a way to overpower him, collect the knife and stab him in the the neck with intent to kill, I don't think your defence can be said to be in proportion with the attack.

CrystalTiger:
Supreme Court actually sentenced a farmer to death for defending himself against Fulani herdsmen..

This country called Nigeria, smh
The prosecutors argued that, having overpowered the man and collected his knife, he should have walked away from the scene.

Self defence is not absolute. You have to show that the attacker left you with absolutely no choice but to kill him.

I have reasons to believe his lawyers blew up the case.
