MikeBlazee: “Nigeria was partially banned by the Trump administration due to security deficiencies in vetting and information-sharing, the presence of radical armed groups, and high visa overstay rates.”
Nigeria and the US are already working on the presence of radical armed groups, but I have not seen any information on information sharing, and I think that is very important. I hope we can improve information sharing without compromising ourselves as a sovereign nation. There has to be some form of information sharing for them to work together. As for overstay rate, I dont think it's much of an issue. Ghana has an even higher overstay rate and is not on the ban list. There's also one video I saw where Trump acknowledges that smaller universities will suffer without foreign students. Fingers crossed. |

Akinlot: I completely agree. Except the lobbying firm the government employed is able to pull off a miracle, there is nothing that points towards Nigeria getting off the ban by June or before he leaves office. I have to say the situation looks better compared to when I posted this The US cannot on one hand say they banned Nigerians from travelling due to insecurity and on the other hand celebrate helping Nigeria fight insecurity. I am positive that the ban will be likely be relaxed for some categories like F1. |

BlueRayDick: Na all those men claiming to be traditional/African men to the core that would sit and cross leg while their spouse gets nearly worn out from chores and taking care of the kids and the home in general.
Me Personally I don't like third party in my space/home, so the idea of maids is not something I really fancy.
It's only normal for someone like me to actively assist madam with chores and some errands which a maid would've done. The third party thing is my biggest problem with maids as well. The best I will do is have someone come in once or twice a week and go once she's done. |

Emaprince: You got it.
Some men will even let their pregnant wives do chores while they cross legs on the center table, watching TV One time we didnt have light in the compound and couldn't pump, I saw my neighbours wife carrying one bucket of water on her head and the other on her hand while the husband strolled majestically behind her. When they got to the staircase, he now collected the smaller bucket on her hand. They live on the third floor. Seeing how comfortable he was doing that in the open, only God knows what that woman goes through in the house. |

raumdeuter: In Nigeria where domestic help is cheap some get up to 3 to help with chores. 2 drives 3 househelps
Then Oga and Madam can chill all they want. If I was in Nigeria I will definitely have domestic help. Even abroad wey I dey I still employ people to cut my lawn and do deep cleaning like one time a quarter or every 6 months It is not as easy as you think. I've seen people change 5, 6 maids till they got tired and stopped hiring. I've also seen maids invite the security man to the master bedroom when the man and the wife are not home. Cctv helps but where's the money to install it, the light to power it or even the time to review it daily if you have a busy schedule. I've seen maids who maltreat kids, steal things from the house or outrightly kidnap kids. Some people are also not comfortable having a third party permanently live with them in the house. For someone like me who likes to fling my clothes once I come in, I can't do that if the help is female. And how long does this phase even last? 10-12 years. By that time, your first child is old enough to assist with most chores. And the years run by faster than you can imagine. |

Then sits behind a screen like the rest of us to watch another man describe how he used to knack his wife. Either the woman is very lucky with simps or guy man is hustling for his own green card. It just has to be the latter. The interesting thing is, if this video somehow gets to US Twitter and it blows up, she may lose that green card. The current administration is ruthless with immigration fraud. |

AyobamiIsaac12: please are the solar panels from hithium too and how good are they? No, they don't sell panels. You will have to buy yours. I used two 400w panels connected in series(I believe) You may want to reconsider buying because mine has stopped charging from the solar input due to a failed MPPT. To be fair, they have asked that I return it so they fix it without cost to me since it's still under warranty but I decided to wait till the rainy season when I won't need it as much. It still charges from the AC input and works well without issues. |

For those like me with full funding and are hoping to make it by fall, it is highly unlikely Trump will lift the ban except a miracle happens. The only country (Turkmenistan) that was lifted off non immigrant ban between June and December, their president met with Trump at the White House during the Central Asia US Summit. I suspect it came up as part of their discussions.
I am not seeing any sign of seriousness from the Nigerian government.
Our only hope of making it by fall IMO will come from the courts.

Despise kwa? Easy, my Chief.
Well, I can't say for the North, but for the South, roads are currently ongoing. The Sagamu to Ijebu Ode is ongoing.. The Benin to Asaba is ongoing. The East West road is ongoing. Benin to Sapele is ongoing, and some others I can't remember sha. Owerri to Aba is also ongoing. Julius Berger still dey do Lagos/Ibadan expressway since GEJ era too.
They are all concrete too.
He is doing well in terms of roads. We have to give him that! Yesterday was my birthday and I can't find a reason to celebrate. It feels like I'm hustling backwards. Salary is no longer enough. You will hustle, pay bribe, talk, beg and plead to get side contracts to support salary and yet bills swallow everything like you're not doing enough. Landlords are raising rents every year. And it started from 2023 when this man got on that chair. Between 2023 and today, my rent has increased 344%. I don't think anyone can out-hate me when it comes to Tinubu. I travelled recently and saw the infrastructural strides and can't take that away from him but my quality of life has seriously nose dived. |

BlueRayDick: Okay I will check it out.
How well does it serve you ? What appliances do you connect to it and how long does it last? It has been solid. It powers my Fridge, Fans, Tv, light bulbs and other basic appliances. For the fridge, I only use it during the day and turn it off at night. Not because it can't power it but I'm trying to maximise battery life. Two fans stay on throughout the night. It also comes with 2 year warranty. That gives some rest of mind. Assuming they don't find a way out of honouring it like Oraimo did with my power bank when it got damaged. |

And like how long will it last on full charge? i.e if I decide to use it just for lightning, fan, TV and basic charging of phones and laptop in normal socket?(Excluding AC, pressing iron and microwave) I just bought the hithium hero ee 2 solar generator for 600k and panels 150k. You can look it up, see if it serves your needs. |

I hope mutual funds investors won't have to pay tax on accrued interest when one is ready to withdraw capital? How do we know they are not already taking it since interest displayed is always net of charges. |

This is your personal illusiion and generalization. Pls stop spreading it. I absolutely agree. Whatever decision the school will take has nothing to do with an email to them. If your profile is good and they want you, they will review your application inspite of the ban. |

Vanjori: Read to understand. I still stand on what I said. All prospective students who has summited an application to a US university before the visa ban should reach out to them before they contact an applicant themselves. Many applications are being declined due to lack of communication. When this visa issue started, the first thing I did was to contact schools I have not gotten an offer from. I explained to them the current situation (even though I know they are aware) and while some school said they will consider my application, others said they will consider my application for the next semester and I do not need to apply again to them.
Now it will shock you that most of my guys who refused to contact them were sent an email saying due to the visa issues, their application cannot be considered. Communication is key. In situations like this you need to communicate.
Don't go ahead telling people to disregard communicating with their school, you will be doing them more harm than good. I applied to 9 schools. One sent a mail asking me to exercise some patience that review is still ongoing. Another reached out for an interview which will be done next week. 7 are yet to send me a mail and I haven't gotten any rejection. If your friends are getting rejected, they would have gotten rejected without the visa ban. |
Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Akinlot: 7:44pm On Jan 03 |
Vanjori: What are you saying If you wait for the school to reach out to you first, they will be reaching out with a letter declining your application due to the ban. You are supposed to reach them first. This is not true. I can confirm that schools are still contacting applicants and conducting interviews despite the ban. |

So it's better to avoid it than remedy the results. U know it was an error on her path, but u also have a blame cos u didn't confirm destination at PU point. she was directing u to d right address. It's not as if she wants to swindle u after taking her to her destination. The right thing to do is renegotiate a fair price to the right destination. If it doesn't work for u then u drop her and let her go. Cos in this case u haven't gone up to 2km yet. There will be problem if u are asking her to pay the 5k by force, even if that's d right thing, ones fight enter u are now on d wrong side. There is no app that will not block u ones u get physical with a rider irrespective of who is at fault. But if u feel u are right and didn't do anything wrong, continue and repeat it with Bolt and Uber since u don't want to take advise. Thats the kind of man who beats his wife. When you tell people like him it is wrong, they tell you the woman provoked them. As if every man faced with the same situation will beat their wives. If he likes he takes correction and works on himself or he can continue arguing with you. He will have a more bitter lesson than indrive blocking him later in the future. |

To guide you very well, and for emphasis, once Trump proposal is granted by the U.S senate or the White house, they will then post it officially on the U.S. embassy websites located in all countries.
Here is the official website for the U.S. Embassy in Abuja (and Consulate in Nigeria) ng.usembassy.gov, where you can find information on visas, citizen services, appointments, and official announcements,
So, until it is posted on the U.S. embassy website, it is still a proposal. What do you think about this?

Ellexy: Nihilist seems to be the demon you can't exorcise, very powerful he haunts you night and day. You see him practically in any thing that clashes with your beliefs, he's always in the shadows plotting, creating alternate monikers just to mock you and get under your skin. He enjoys tormenting you by playing hide and seek with different monikers and watching you try to unmask those monikers.
It's very accurate to say he lives rent free in your subconscious, a place you’ve turned into his comfort zone simply by the attention you keep feeding it. Ironically, starving him of that attention might make him disappear but your ability to see him in the shadows is just too strong.
To an outside observer like me, it’s a fascinating, almost tragic spectacle to behold every time. How are you people able to write like this? I would have paid to have you write my SOPs |
