It's like d e-portal is saying something. Am sure it's gonna be up fully by weekend cos there is an info to check "2012/2013 admission status". Although not responding but at least after couple of months now, there's something pertaining to us to Stare at. Fingers crossed though.

Morning All I really admire our level of optimism.... As regards the DE admission list I congratulate us all cus the wait is finally over...
I spoke with the big fish himself yesterday morning and he confirmed it to me that the DE list is ready and that the holiday is responsible for it not been pasted yet but he said it will be available on-line and also pasted in the school on the 7th of Jan 2013........
Now that we know when the list will be available, our prayer point now is that our names should be on the list........ Can I Hear AMEN SOMEBODY!!!

Gudday evry1, I hav been on AWOL on dis forum due to some unavoidable tasks. all d same am happy to always remember u all. Ursas nd evrybody, u're a blessing Nd shall continue to be. There is sometin I so cherish about 'us', which is our sense of Maturity, it really worth emulating. Congrats to dose admitted Nd dose still waitin won't wait in vain, cos am really hopin on d sup list for my friends. D second list is gonna b towards d end of d month, I pray dat all hope won't b lost. But sometin I know certain which is "que sera sera" wat will b will b. lets all remain focused, determined Nd always b relevant because we still hav a long way to go. Dose admitted are just fortunate cos its not by their strength.

Electrical Dept, (my dept) released 24 names, on which am No. 4
Comp Engr released 12 names
Comp science nd mathematics released 5 names
Chemical Engr released 4names
this are only d depts i can remember. call ur friends nd contacts to confirm dis. Am not in d campus , would hav love to check for others. thanks

3 possible ways, viz:
-Hard copy pasted @ school
-On jamb site using ur registration number
-OAU eportal using ur reg no. Also
But I feel the latter wil be most employed means since its d sch dat will upload our names Nd we also will do all d required registration on d eportal. Tanks

Gudday to you all, i sincerely salute the courage of us all, not forgetting d likes of ursas,fazbuk, samphem, habayommy,olami90,accuratephemite, hopeyemmy, asphimself, aykay45,lillies leyeg nd evrybody, we are all victim of circumstance consequently making us Great people because we have really been traumatized with this issue of Direct entry into the University. Don't let me cry over spilled milk because we're already on-board the Train to Ife and i pray us all save journey to the source. the news has always been a sour one because info has it that they've sent the list to the ICT section for uploading, almost every admin employee don't have concrete info or just dont want to talk (but i can say it confidently and Authoritatively that d list is ready) to worsen the case, everybody is kept in the dark. 50th anniversary is dragging activities, School is to be on recess come 14th nd exam shuld start january, SASUU or so' warning strike is to begin come 10th and since OAU is the Headquarters of all Aluta in Africa , they'll be the first to happily comply, students protesting about their acclaimed 'Right' because evrybody in Ife has His or Her 'Right', even a Madman in Ife has His 'right' (lol).

Here are my Humble observations and advice:
That the 'status quo' remains (i.e we all remain optimistic nd calm as we all have been over the past 6months)
The prayer warriors should channel their prayer missiles towards OAU as a whole, ''both students nd lecturers''(people like humbleservant nd co should take charge)
Those who have been given HND admission shuld pay their acceptance fee pending when OAU will call us (just advising oooo)
And lets keep checking Jamb site and OAU eportal frequently, because we dont know when the bridegroom shall arrive.

Conclusively, Nothing goes up without coming down according to the law of gravity.....;(OAU) they have no option than to release this Almighty list, as for me am ready for them because i have no other option. The list is long over-due, anytime from now EXPECT the list, although NO SPECIFIC DATE.

Accuratephemite: i+ think dis information wud help most nairalanders especially dos dat @ d faculty of administrattion. I was @ Ife cos i tink dis list is taking long where I entered into d dean's office. He was nt around so I met one of the secretaries and explained myself. She gave me a list and told to check my names. I saw ova three hundred names but unfortunately my name was nt dere. It was I asked what d names meant and she told me d list is d names of candidates whose names was forwarded frm d admission office. I told her she asked if I collected d white or whatever form and other questions which my response was positive which my credentials was dere to prove. At dis point. She was confused but asked me to go back to d adm off @ senate building. I did but d person I was to meet was nt on seat so +has to xplain to d colleague who pitied me me considering d distance and offered to help check what went wrong cos he saw I was even over qualified for admission. We exchanged numbers only to call him today and find out dere was a mix up somewhere. He apolpgised advised me to meet someone who can help me @ d faculty. I already knew so d day I went I asked d secretary who told in confidence dat she wud av loved to help but It IS LATE as the list has bin compiled and only one hundred candidates was selected or chosen. So notin for me dsi year. I believe I will nt be d only victim. However I've taken heart ooo. But IS THIS A COUNTRY.smh. I just feel I shd let d good people of nairaland know as dis iinfo may help alot of people. To d peoplee dats has been selected congrats ooo and I hope nairalanders are among. I'll try to fall on my PLAN B though I've nt given. up. Dats my ordeal ooo. For more details on how it all went. My 2go id is phemhite.

@ phemite, am just short of words but never short of ideas. i will just tell u NOT to give up because its not over until its over, this country is just a failed state. This is the only place where evrtin is upside down. keep pestering them as fast as u can, cos there shuld still be room for supplementary list, at least for u alone, cos u merit it. Gudday to you all. I was at Ife on Thursday Nov 1st and left Friday Nov 2nd, here are my findings.
Firstly I was @ Elect/Elect Dept (my dept) to see wats happening, meeting d Secretary to d HOD, i gathered dat D HOD has submitted His recommended list for Admission to d Dean (After a long pestering, i gathered dat d Hod has made His own shorlisting which is very 'few', less dan 15 names, although i culdnt see d list ) so i was told to check d dean office because he will still add his, nd other powers dat be. On getting to d Computer Building because d Faculty of Tech is behind d Comp sc/Engineering complex, i stoped @ d Comp sc/Eng HOD's office, didnt meet d Hod but met d Secretary who told me same as d Elect secretary but i learnt dat about 34 names were shortlisted nd hav been sent to d Dean for review nd final Process/Approval (seems d infos are lookin alike, wats surprisin is dat d secretaries we lamentin dat even their candidates were'nt selected, Na wa ooo!). So i got to d Dean secretary's office Room 308, last floor, d woman there told me she had no info as regards d D.E admission but advised i check @ room 308 which i eventually saw d Deans confid. Sec who told d list is about to reach d final stage nd dat it will be uploaded on Net when they are tru, all effort to see d List proved abortive after alot of pleading nd later argument 'cos i got furious, she later allowed me to see d list from d Admission office dat indicated d applicants name, to indicate dat d transcipt reach Ife nd dat they are qualified, but i told her dats of no use to me . But i can confirm dat Chem. Engr. Dept shortlisted just 4 students for admission (cos 2 of my Friends were selected). What i was able to deduce is dat d list is nearing d final stage, Probably Nov ending/Dec, cos d sch is concernd about d 50yrs aniversary nd d NUGA games for now 'cos OAU is wearin a new look (which i dont know if they will still host). You can only hav access to d List if u are well legged, am sure they are hiddin d list because d number of DE admission to Ife dis yr will b limited due to NUC policy on Dept capacity, I can categorically say dat d HOD's of Elect, Comp nd chem. Engnr have submitted their admission recommendation lists through a MEMO to d dean, Faculty of Tech . After a long walk nd wahala, i relaxd @ Forks, nd d zoo where i enjoyed nature seeing d Hyeana, Lion (d Lioness almost gave me a mark near d wire fence, but i escaped using a higher Intuition..... Lol!) nd some animals. Lets all just keep hopin on God, but d fact remains dat admission dis year is takin a new shape, God help us. I Rep. D Great Ife.....

Oau admission seekers are the most traumatised set of students dis year after Uniport students nd Unilag students. Uniport students saw a black day after d jungle justice meted on 4 of their students by d Aluu Murderers, but Unilag students were distabilised due to d death of their VC and d unconstitutional renaming of their school identity to Maulag by d confused Uncle Jona. whereas we d admission seekers to Oau are facing some psycological Trauma as a result of being in d dark, anxiety of "it is out, when will it be out". am very sure dat we are really great pple to hav held on to our piece, since March 12 dat d D.e form was released by Jamb, getting transcript from our various schools who are just trying to frustarate us so dat we can stay back, to filling d white but so called green form in Ife, to dis present day October. As we all await dis great list from dis great citadel of learning, Take it or u leave, we are Great people indeed!

As far as d transcript gets to Ife, it will be sent to where ur sch addressed it, nd it will get to d Registrar or admission office. (All things being equal, but am sure all will be well)
