In the mud we played
In the creche they play
With sands all over our clothes
With toys in their hands

On the mat we slept
On the bed they sleep
While we had nightmares
They have dreams

We learnt how to keep malice
In our yard
They learn how to pray
In their living room

I have found a dream killer
It lies in your environment
Where you cherished to play the game
Where you think they don't hate

My environment is my place
His environment is his people
With them, he do the riddle
And their face is without rinkle

Polygamy was mine
Monogamy was his
Who succeed the most
The environment can tell

Though God can break any barrier
The environment is also a carrier
To the future you view
After God has made a review

Just as the environment is a dream killer
It is also a dream builder
We can make a choice
Whether to be with the killers or the builders

From the same neighbourhood we grew
Even in the same school we passed through
I was fortunate to have a friend like you
A tall, handsome and cool dude

He was the enemy of my enemy
The solution when I needed a remedy
We watched the same comedy
With the likes of Murphy Eddy

In exam halls, we seat side by side
Just to spy each other's sheet
Though I didn't see that as a cheat
Because we were friends from the same street

We ate in the same room
And swept with the same broom
Almost get married to the same bride
Thank God they live in different drive

Now as adulthood beckon
There is dire need to depart ways
My wife is my new friend to reckon
Oh, I missed our friendship days

Everybody is so special
I tell you because it is essential
To note that God has not made us artificial
I hope this is not controversial

God made man in his own image in the beginning
To rule over the bird and fishes till the ending
What an advantage we have been given from the starting
Indeed God is benevolent and caring

Despite our sins and atrocities
He always forgive us our iniquities
Though we raided town and cities
As wizards and witches

You aint supposed to look down the man at your right
This is not where to show your might
All that God made was good and bright
And we are all equal before Him, even as I write

Why should you look your fellow man with scorn
When all and sundry were adorn
By God almighty the first born
You are not special if I must horn

LOVE OF MONEY

I'm no longer anxious to get rich
In as much as I can get my wish
The love of money makes me look like a witch
Besides, the good things of life is at my reach

I don't want to put myself in an unnecessary hardship
Though the rich has a large follower-ship
As long as its God that I worship
I'm free from the devil's fellowship

Though I love to enjoy life
But no good thing comes without strife
Myself, my children and my wife
Have resolved to live as five

Henceforth, I will not be in pursuit of vanity
Love of money is vane, this is reality
Forsake lust, to live in tranquillity
In order to avoid the world calamity

Now I'm satisfied and freed
Also blessed and save from greed
My way of life, my children can succeed
And my generation unborn can embrace what I decreed
