I don't. Know Hw n whr u got ur definition from but from what i know Emergency landing is same as Crash landing.

Wikipedia confirms dis also.


1. An emergency landing is a landing made by an aircraft in response to a crisis which either interferes with the operation of the aircraft or involves sudden medical emergencies necessitating diversion to the nearest airport.

2. Do u think all aircraft that has an emergency landing or crash landing must have physical damage that r visible to d eye?

3. Most emergency landing or crash landing damages occurs on the landing gears (shock strut) or fuselage. If the landing occurs on a hard surface

4. That location is very perfect for landing purpose for heli.

5. Have u heard about auto rotation, Diving and Gliding.

6. Heli usually Auto rotate during emergency to compensate thrust for lift. It does nt drop like stone. D only problem with an heli is if there is a prob with its main rotor or its tail rotor. Then d heli can't be landed down under control.

Emergency landing = Crash landing. Both r same in aviation.

Nice one from the Pilot. It's nt easy to safely make an emergency landing with an heli.
