From what I've seen and heard from corps members: Lagos top-up leaders: - Fintech companies (Flutterwave, Paystack, Moniepoint area) — ₦50k–₦150k/month top-up - Commercial banks (GTB, Access, Zenith) — ₦30k–₦80k - Telecoms (MTN, Airtel HQ) — ₦40k–₦70k Abuja top-up leaders: - Development organisations (UNDP, World Bank, USAID partners) — ₦50k–₦100k - Federal agencies (CBN, NITDA, NCC) — ₦20k–₦50k - International NGOs — ₦40k–₦80k Key tip: visit the PPA board at your state secretariat on the FIRST day of orientation — not day 3. The good slots go fast. There's a free PPA guide by course and state on gradtools.ng if anyone wants more specific advice for their field. |
The rule people always get wrong: NYSC checks your age at GRADUATION, not today. So if you were 28 when your senate list was approved but you're now 31 — you are still eligible. Age is frozen at the date your institution submitted your senate list to NYSC, not the date you're reading this. The exact rule: if you were 30 or younger on your graduation/senate list date, you must serve. If you were 31 or older, you qualify for an exemption certificate — which you still need to get, as most federal employers require it. I found a free calculator that handles all the edge cases including COVID waivers, professional degrees, and foreign institutions: gradtools.ng — no signup, instant result. |
You definitely lived in the north. Yesterday a man divorced his wife on the spot over the grocery he bought. Apparently he came home with "shinkafa 'yar Hausa", local rice with pebbles and is extra work to pick especially in Ramadan. He felt insulted for her questioning his choice and sent her packing. Hausa men are the most unaccountable men in the world. |
This is dangerous. You want an employee that will double up as a booty call. That is a toxic mix. |
It is all in your head |
I think this will save him a lot of time and hassle.imagine if he has to talk to 200 girls before finding his spec, that is if he was even lucky. This way, only the qualified will contact him |
This is unrealistic. You are obviously not ready for marriage. If you can't foot the household bill 100 percent you have no right to claim a woman. Imagine if she gets pregnant and you still want her to keep working and spending on the family. |
Never! They are the most racist and disdainful and ungrateful people I have ever met |
This long introduction as if he found the cure for cancer and HIV |
does anyone believe this? |
She was decidedly one of the stupidest persons I've ever met. She was Zimbabwean and couldn't distinguish between slavery and colonialism. And even worse, she was of the opinion that white people in Zimbabwe should keep the lands they stole from Africans since, according to her, their forefathers stole the land and were therefore blameless. A bit petty of me but I just couldn't stomach that kind of historical insouciance and revisionism |
