Christianity EtcRe: Benevolent Muslims In The House! A Christian Needs To Eat Sallah Ram by Alcatraz007: 5:56pm On Aug 31, 2017

"Longer throat" you dislike islam, criticize the fundamentalists for upholding the tenents of their creed and you labelled them terrorists. Despise islamic shariah, go against islamic views on Marriage but love eating sallah ram that has been sacrificed to an arabian deity with incatation. You are gullible sir. Gluttons can give up their future for a plate of food. Your tummy is your god, keep serving it sir.
We can only defeat Islamic terrorism with love. Rise above hate. #RationalChristian

I see some persons taking this South( ironically, I'm from the South). Back home, we serve our Muslim neighbors and they do not call our food "unclean".. Please, please, and please...To each his own..You bitter souls should go somewhere else to do what you do best: Hate....

I created this thread because I felt like eating ram for real. Not like I can't buy and cook, but that feeling of being served with " love and celebration " makes it different.
Thank you all..Happy Holidays Everyone and to our Muslim Brethren, I wish y'all a Happy Sallah..
I commend you for resisting the urge to hate the muslims in the face of the current religious frictions in Nigeria. I am a Christian and I would go out tomorrow and eat the meat with my muslim friends. Love still trumps hate any day, anytime.

One love Nigeria!

Could you give an example of how the so-called "Yoruba Muslims" are doing what you claim? Who are these Muslim population and what exactly have they done or are doing to hold the entire Yourba down and/or be in cahoots with the north? Give names and factual evidence of these "Yoruba Muslims" and their alleged deeds.

Thanks.
I won't go into details. I love my Muslim brothers in yorubaland but we disagree on matters of principle in this country. We won't sleep on our rights when we have to. Osinbajo is not a measure of effective Christian representation in Yoruba politics. He is a political neophyte and a religious stooge. He had continuously failed to stand up in defense of the faith when it mattered most.

My concern is for the general wellbeing of yorubaland and the south in general. My posts are not spurred by religious bigotry for my fellow Yoruba people.

So what do we do? Deny the fact that there is cognitive dissonance in yorubaland?

Like osinbajo that is currently serving in APC government that has failed to restructure is a muslim,

Like Obasanjo a staunch baptist that just againt restructuring publicly is a muslim.

YOU ARE A JEWISH IGBO CHRISTIAN,STOP BEING COWARDLY,SHOW YOUR TRUE COLOUR!grin
Ok, I am igbo if that would make you sleep better at night. As if the igbo don't trepidate at the sight of my scorching posts.

Is like saying yoruba Catholics are subservant to igbo politically and igbo pentacostals are subservant to yorubas(adeboye, oyedepo and kumuyi) politically!
Let's just get our acts right. It is time to be courageous and demand that the right things be done in Nigeria irrespective of what the north wants. They do not own Nigeria!

forget about muslim this and Christian this dichitomy in Nigeria intertribal alignment.Tinubu a muslim endorsed ambode going against fashola a muslim brother!

Pastor tunde bakare was the VP to buhari

Pastor yemi osinbajo,a staunch friend of yoruba muslim, tinubu,is a loyal VP to muslim buhari.

The more you try to create this yoruba muslim and Christian dichotomy the more tou sound like Igbo Christians that dont even hesitate to yab pastor adebayo and osinbajo codedly looking for yoruba Christians leverage
In as much as I hate the igbos looking for a loop hole to divide us, I still can't shrug off the passion to speak against what I see as a marriage between the violent Wahhabic political Islam which the north holds dear and a politically awakened Muslim population in yorubaland. I owe the Christian population the duty to speak up and sensitize them. I won't shirk my responsibility because I want to destroy igbo propaganda. It is well though as our Christian population have resources to resist any form of subjugation by anybody.

pls take your bigotry out of this thread
yorubas dont look down on each other like that
yoruba muslims and christiains are not subservient to anyone
rather north muslim is subservient to saudi arabia
igbo christains are subservient to vatican and yoruba churches
Do not get angry already. It won't take the problem away. I know that your next line of argument is that I am igbo. Yoruba groups like the Afenifere have been relegated and demonized because most of you don't want to listen to the truth in order to present a unified front to our igbo adversaries. You won't shut me up by calling me a bigot. This is an internal issue between brothers.

the issue is not islam
yoruba has never put islam or xtain across anybody
thats why a state like ogun wiht lots of xtain can have a muslim governor
and osun with majority muslim will have oyinlola a xtain
yorubas also have their own muslim leader in ibadan
the issue is about yoruba accepting the reality of nigeia not islam or xtain
The Christian population in yorubaland know the that the reality of Nigeria is that it under the jackboots of retired northern soldiers. Our Muslim brothers must agree with us and the igbos that things can't continue like this. Nigeria must be restructured to enable the generality of Nigerians realize that innate potentials.

I won't deign to the wish of our enemies to see us divided but we must at some point discuss and harmonize our political road map in yorubaland as we Christians are too educated and sophisticated to being subservient to Muslim northerners.

some did support him genuinely

its like sayig yorubas supported gej cause hes christain

Please stop it. The man had said the bitter truth. Our problem, I maintain lies in our Muslim population and I stand by it. I and the OP have had cause to clash so many times on the dual allegiance problem in Yoruba land. The igbo nation no matter how irritating they are have actually tried to galvanize Support for the kind of change we need in Nigeria. Make no mistake about it, if a war breaks out in Nigeria, we Christian yorubas would not join Nigeria to kill the igbos a 2nd time.

The SE has always been targeted by the military in this fashion. It is part of the injustice and wickedness Nnamdi Kanu rails against. This has always been d norm because of high cash fluidity in the region as a result of commercial activities. Have u not heard that police n army personnel lobby to get sent to d East for these extortionist practises?

The same way you people act as if corruption started and ended in Nigeria b/w 2010-2015 all in a bid to victimise Jonathan is how u want to act like all this nonsense started because of Nnamdi Kanu. Keep hiding from the truth, soon enough it will confront u and you'll have nowhere to run or hide.
OMG! Which commercial activity takes place in the east? If that place was so lucrative and conducive for business and habitation, we won't have igbos emigrating to other part of the country in droves.

Dude, what do we have the National Assembly for? What do Southeast states have governors for? Don't bring 'Igbos are not given a voice rubbish' here.

Yorubas have played opposition for 2 generations, we did not bring that rubbish into our discussions.
We both know any motion raised by an igbo representative in parliament would be shut down by the northern dominated members of parliament. The composition of the National Assembly is an issue that further fuels the feeling of injustice and marginalization of the south in this country.

You mean the approximately 10 million Igbos that voted in the last election or a few thousand making noise about Biafra. Who are we to take seriously?
No matter how irritating the igbos are, their views still have to be taken into consideration when making decisions on matters of National unity/nation building. Millions of Nigerians secretly support the igbo but are disgusted by the method adopted by the IPOB. We do not love ourselves in this country. There is no need to be politically correct about it.

Sometimes I feel so ashamed that I hail from the Yoruba race. What is our problem as a race and a people, what exactly are we scared off? Let's restructure Nigeria, we said No, let Biafra go, we said No. Let Buhari resign so he can go and treat himself, we said No, because the North will be angry if he hands over to our son, a Yoruba man. Yet the country as currently constituted has not witnessed any development since independence. We keep reminding ourselves of Biafra war, as though we have benefited anything from the North since independence. Please I support a regional government, where every region grows at its own pace and if the North objects, let every region go their separate ways. We travel out and see how other countries are run, why is it impossible to develop Nigeria? Iam tired of this failed state called Nigeria, where corruption and mediocrity is celebrated at the expense of merit. Abeg second base jor.
Maclatunji, please listen to this man. I am a Yoruba man but a Christian and this issue is where our opinions differ in yorubaland. Our Muslim population are comfortable with the north and their mode of running Nigeria while we Christians are averse to the current structure. Our only point of convergence is our hatred for the igbo. Nigeria needs to be restructured no matter our sentiment. Anything other than a total restructuring of the polity is a recipe for a civil war.

Nothing to leverage on. A free market of 200 million will always be better than 30, 50 or even 100 million.

Why would I want a third of the pie when I can have everything? Get over tribalism and see opportunities not threats.
I disagree with you on this. I rather we let the igbos go as the animosity is palpable. There is no incentive in having a 200 million market when we don't have common ethos as a nation. A prosperous Nigeria cannot be had when each ethnic Nationality work at cross purposes. Only the elite benefit from the current forced structure of Nigeria.

I am disappointed at the turn of events in this thread. Igbos want to stamp the Islamic badge on yorubaland and we Christians really don't care if Islam takes it. The fact is that we still hate igbos and hope all they get Biafra.
