Buhari has his faults but the igbos need to be careful. The man has been very patient with igbos. Nobody would take the destabilization of his government from a tribe that has shown absolute and undue hatred his person and Government.
Igbos should allow reason prevail in the current circumstance. |

Johnnyessence: I hope the whole world is reading and listening the event that's unfolding at the moment. As it stand clueless pmb is performing genocide mission in south east. Whoever that's sending the military men to perform this act will have themselves to blame. When pmb led military performed genocide mission in the shiite members in zaria last year but the people didn't condemn it. Even the other part of Nigeria doesn't condemn the attack. Now he has direct his foot soldiers to cause another fracas and genocide mission in south east region. At this stand the international community is watching. The Freedom fighters should be at alert on this issues. Their aim is to eliminate the IPOB members and their leader. This plan won't work at all. For the NA to attack the Nigeria journalist I think they didn't fear anyone. Stop this please. The white supremacists/globalists wont care if black people are killing themselves. Let us {especially igbos} avoid war at all cost. No winner guaranteed in a war. |

Always view events from a rational rather than an emotional lense.
Buhari has not visited Yorubaland too {Save Ogun State on the invitation of his friend Amosun} and Yorubas are not wailing and gnashing their teeth. Igbos should please be careful and not fall into the trap of Nigeria. I have been warning since oooooo.
The emotions are high and you all want war with Nigeria but the end thereof would be sorrow for millions of poor people in the east {God forbid}
Nnamdi Kanu must be taken into custody as soon as possible! |

If you think an unstable situation created by buhari in the most peaceful region in Nigeria according to the united nations, will spare you in whatever jungle you live , then you are sorely mistaken. If you know you like one naijeria more than life itself, then buhari is your greatest enemy. Bullcrap! Nigerian Army are occupying the east already and Nigeria is moving on fine. By November of this year, more than 3 states in the South East would be under emergency rule with Military Administrators governing them and nothing would happen! You cant destabilise a man's {buhari} government and expect to be left alone. Continue beating your hairy chest online while your hometown is occupied by Hausa soldiers. Bunkum! |

ImperialYoruba: The first mistake Kanu made is positioning Ipob as a non-violent freedom fighter.
Write this down, there is no where in Africa you will get freedom without arms struggle. No where!
Africa is the sole sustainer of the universe, the envy of the globe. The present state of backwardness is very favorable to the militarized powers. So anyone trying to disrupt the current backwardness and blindness and open eyes is an enemy and a threat to commercial interest of US, Europe, Japan, Chinese, Russia....and so on.
They will bring up a counterforce to eliminate that threat. ....and while its being done they will make concerted effort to promise rescue on air broadcasts but alas stand back and not intervene on the ground.
So a show of force....lethal force of mass destruction is what it will take for Kanu to free Biafra, if he is serious!
My suggestion to him....this non-violent struggle is ill-planned. He can recover and make it a success but not while in Nigeria. He needs to get out (smuggled out) to a foreign soil from where he can continue the struggle...in armed mode! This is the very hate speech the Government is talking about. Seun what are you doing to clamp down on this kind of message? On the issue raised, why should we kill igbos if they really want to go? is the matter so serious? i am yoruba like you oooo and i know millions of yorubas would let igbos go if we had the power. Our collective problem is the Nigerian and global elite, they would not let go without a war. Abeg we no want war ooooo. |

Lekan1o1: You people should stop these nonesense obsession and allow them do their thing. U all shouting hate speach hate speach. since the so called "hate speech" started h0w many peoplw have thwy killed.?
Unity is not by force, we have more pressing issues on our own we should worry about and not biafra. I am sure you had not joined this forum when i began my crusade for yoruba support for the exit of igbos from Nigeria. I am not bothered in the least about their wish to leave the union but given the selfish interest of Nigerian elites {igbo leaders inclusive}, what can we do but to advice the igbos to in the meantime, exercise restraint on their hate for other Nigerians while working to bring their elite into the mainstream of the biafran struggle? Notwithstanding the foregoing, we have all come to realise that the igbo are not serious on the agitation for biafra but using it as a gimmick to be gifted power in the Nigeria on a platter. Nigeriansd would not just vote an igbo President because they are throwing tantrums, we would vote for an igbo President when we see that they have earned our trust by building social political and ideological bridges accross the ethnic and religious divides in Nigeria. In the meantime, the Government of the day would leave up to its responsibility of not allowing any group of people to cross the National crosslines and jeopardise the corporate existence of Nigeria as a sovereign entity. The attempt of the igbo to undermine the Buhari Government is an assault to its legitimacy as expressed in the votes of Millions of Nigerians in 2015 which would be firmly resisted. NB: If i were the President, i would not allow my enemies derail my Government too . |

Episteme2: I don't know where to start but all I can say is that your disjointed narrative lacks sense. Who are the war mongers? The NA or IPOB agitating for self determination through referendum? Have u heard or seen Nnamdi Kanu call for war? Have you seen IPOB carry arms? What is Nigerian Army doing at Nnamdi Kanu's compound? The igbos have elected representatives in the Nigerian parlaiment. The move for seccession and the possible inclusion of same in the constitution via amendment should be raised on the floor by an igbo congressman and argued. These needless distractions and war rhetoric would not achieve the desired result but rather alienate igbos from the mainstream of Nigerian politics. Hope you saw the pictures of the President with the traditional rulers yesterday and the conspicuous absence of the Obi of Onitsha? What does it tell you? The nation would do just fine inspite of the childish tantrums being thrown by the igbos! |

Viergeachar: Come on, stop being insensitive!
Why should they be mauled/killed in their millions? Have they killed anyone yet? Have they taken up arms against the state yet? Have they even seceded yet
Is blood running in your veins at all? I have been sympathetic to their plight but they are not amenable to reason. My resolution is to adopt a "siddon look" attitude to the cold war between them and the buhari Government. Igbos need to be careful and rein in Nnamdi Kanu before he plunges the SE into an avoidable crisis/internal strife. We have nothing further to offer the Igbos but words of reason and caution. They are not the only ones feeling the heat of the Buhari Government {I am Nigerian and christian for that matter}, so they should adopt a different approach in requesting for what they feel is due to them. No Government in the World would accept the treasonable actions of that Nnamdi Kanu fellow without rising up to protect the corporate existence of the nation. Agitations for Secession/Referendum must be done within the accepted/stipulated boundaries of the law; any other method should/would be severely punished by any Government worth its salt. Any crisis that erupts from the actions of Nnamdi Kanu would strictly be confined to the SE of the Country and would not spread to other parts of the Country irrespective of the wish of millions of igbos for it to so spread. In the unlikely event that it spreads, other Nigerians would just use the opportunity to eject the igbos from their cities while claiming abandoned properties. The war mongers should think deeply and be properly guided in all their actions and evil machinations. If anybody thinks a war can be imported into yorubaland because they do not want to move on from 2015, then they are in for a shock. I wont say more than that. A word is enough for the wise. |

Viergeachar: All sides must exercise restraint.
I will never support the annihilation of Igbos for asking to have their own country.
Indeed, aside few the 'fake' Igbos we have here that are 'against' Biafra actualisation, most of the Igbos I have met offline as far back as 14 years ago have always told me about Biafra and how they'll like to see it actualised. As young as they were, they were passionate about it and even boasted that they will be better prepared for a 2nd civil war.
Recently, a senior colleague doing very well in my office wont stop lamenting and hoping for Biafra. His current achievements do not matter to him. He told me the success of Igbos in diaspora was nothing compared to the sufferings going on in the SE. The bitterness was written all over his face.
I am Yoruba and I am ready to make the best of Nigeria even as I look for to it being restructured for good someday.
Let us all join hands and clamour for restructuring! I have been warning them as fellow christians to be patient as any war would see them being mauled/killed in their millions. We yorubas should just remain neutral and watch events as they unfold. The igbos are not really reasonable people as they take rash decisions without thinking. The Government of the day should do with them{igbos} what it likes. They cant be reasoned and/or discussed with. An unreasonable person/entity should be whacked! {The Godfather} |

Billyonaire: Next time you want to write me, be respectful as I do not communicate with the unlettered weaklings in the human species.
That being said, I want to reiterate that Secession is a Natural Event, Planned in Nature, By Nature and For Nature. That America, Britain, Spain, and infact, North Korea, South Korea, and every country on this Earth is a product of Secession.
It is always through War or Dialogue or Both. This one will NOT be different. Because Nature MUST go on. Nature must multiply its species to experience its reality in the lower density universe.
Like I said, I do not hate illiterates, its just that I do not know how to educate them due to their emotional issues which I blame on ignorance.
Do not quote me further, as I do not really have the energy to waste on someone who might be a Soul of a Goat infused into a Human body. Ok then, igbos can go on and engage the Nigerian State in a senseless war. We would be here watching. |

Do that and see the progress and development of igbos/igboland rolled back by decades. As a fellow Christian {though Yoruba}, i can only beg igbos to apply utmost restraint and critical thinking at this critical juncture in the struggle. The fact is that millions of Nigerians want to see you braggarts cut to size. Yo have pestered and insulted Nigerians for the past 6 years {Yes, right fron Jonathan's ascendancy}. This is the time for calm and not rash action spurred by illogical sentiments or hate. I would hate to see fellow Christians killed in their millions. Put a leash on that war monger, Kanu! Billyonaire: The Army is supposed to be protecting the borders and not intimidating the people they are supposed to protect.
All Humans are born as free Earth roaming animals, and have the right to decide not to belong to a man made boundary. No one has the right to force someone to be part of a family of people he has no interest.
Naturally, unions are not forced.
We are about to witness a civil war that will burn Nigeria to ashes and de-stabilize the entire Africa. We will be slaves in other countries as this war will be fought in every city, every hamlet and every home.
Except we speak against the launching of an army battalion against a people whose desire is Peaceful Referendum. Would you shut up and stop the scare mongering!? {not that anybody is scared anyway}. Igbos should be conciliatory at this moment as any war would witness a genocide yet to be seen in this part of the World. That being said, the Government of the day should exercise restraint on the issue of Nnamdi Kanu/biafra as the case {application to revoke bail} is pending before a Court of competent Jurisdiction and no act that overreaches the Court should be taken. We should all hold our peace and await the ruling of the court on all pending applications before it. Peace. |
